Here's what I think might happen for NYCC.
We are going to get a compilation trailer of new features and the trailer is going to end with an Alex tease.
This will be akin to the Cody/Guy reveal for SFXT. They were shown at NYCC much before other characters but they were actually DLC. With their " we're late for the party comment "

Just feels right to me. I also feel like it'd fuck over EVO a bit (AGAIN) to commit to something and have to back off of it because of circumstances, since it'd be out for only a month before the Tournament.
I simply can't see the game coming out so soon after the third beta since they had to delay the betas. They haven't done a PC beta yet, so if performance is borked during that beta, it means another delay is going to happen.
What did Ken Bogard get wrong?
Ken Bogard being wrong about something would be the biggest shock of this ride.
The one tentative date we ever got was Spring 2016 (before a capcom rep came back and said "it's just 2016") and that encompasses March - May. I assume near the end of March more than May because Capcom would want to release before the fiscal quarter, but it can totally still slip past that date.

The only Ken Bogard info that's still up in the air is the day/night versions of stages, which could still easily happen or change during development.

Ken Bogard also said they would invest in a story mode. Can't wait to see what they'll do

Gah. Like I said in the Smash thread, I got Bogard and Siliconera confused again. Bogard's track record is still untarnished!
It will be played on ps4 at EVO. PC doesn't matter for EVO, and the game has been in a playable state for over a year.

My new hope is that Guile is the last classic character. The Alex and Urien starting roster dream is dead for me now. I'll wait for DLC when it comes to them. Sim would cold blood fucking murder any hype I have for this game though. I'll be really disappointed if that last slot isn't Guile now.
Except to people that for some reason arbitrarily thought Urien and Alex were characters you'd see in a typical SF game.

If they don't release both versions on the same date it's going to hurt the game's long term growth. Given that they're building a unified back end for it, it's IMPERATIVE that they have both versions up and running on Day 1.

I know I've given you a lot of shit but I really do hope this helps you avoid jumping to too many conclusions. Stuff like this http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?p=179966918#post179966918 just seems way too reactive to something without hard evidence.
But the pace at which these characters are getting announced is kind of insane. We are likely getting 3 more character reveals this month too.

-Also: When faced with the request "Dhalsim to SF5 and Zoning char to sf5" the answer "I don't think you will be disappointed" was given (Does not mean initial roster though, but it hints towards Sim as the next classic character.

Considering the PC version is part of the beta test this month, with 5 months to go until release... I don't see anything to indicate PC will be delayed.

I would be totally okay with it if we are going to get new stage and story mode at NYCC. I'm more excited about seeing Laura's moveset right now.

Yeah, I hope that he would be less disruptive in thread toward to the speculations when we just want to discuss something for fun. My goal of my previous post is that I hope that Neoxon just learned his lesson with pushing the information into our face when we just want to talk about something that are not on the leak. Also less of politic-correcting our roster discussion. That's all I requested to happens.
