Or they'll both be DLC later down the road & the last veteran in the base roster is another SFII character. The dream is dead for Alex & Urien as far as the initial 16 is concerned.

It's probably going be Sim, but there's always DLC man.

7/8 of the classic characters are from SFII, though. I'm thinking they were both bumped to early DLC, and that the last character other than Zen is from SFII.

So, on a scale of 0 to 100, how upset do you think Ono is about the leak. He's probably pissed off about all the salt he could have made.

It was like the perfect combo: Zangief being revealed out of nowhere; his teases being super obvious; everyone expecting an SF2 character, but noboddy taking Blanka seriously; Laura being green, electric, and braziilian; It would have been the perfect counter breaker to the patern breaker, and at least half of us would have fallen for it. Super dissapointing.

As I said earlier, Blanka would've been the closet to hitting my sodium meter.

Indeed. Someone at Famitsu likely saw this thread after the Zangief reveal & thought "I can't let Ono destroy that thread, anymore."
 
Famitsu has had the rights to release screens like this in the past. It's possible nobody is losing their job, but it easily could've been a fuck up as well.

Yeah, this probably isn't a "heads will roll" situation, more likely a misfortunate mishap. Gomennasai, Ono-san. Shrug their shoulders and work around it.

Yeah, poor guy, to have his most glorious troll of all time snatched from him like someone ripped his lil plastic Blanka out off his hand and slapped him in his always smiling face.

It would've put the actual hype on Laura through the roof too I'd think.

Usually Capcom counteracts this kind of stuff with just releasing the trailer soon after because it's pointless to keep the suspense once images have been leaked. So I'm assuming we'll see a trailer for her in the next couple days.
 
I'm gonna believe she's a charge character
and has a fat ass
because it all lines up too perfect. That's exactly what I asked for, she seems to have some ranged pokes with her handstand kick and they leaked this out on my birthday (Oct 2nd, which it's been in japan for awhile now). So basically it all lines up.
 
At this point Capcom should just go full devastation and lay on us the last 2 remaining characters. There's no real point in dragging it out now. They'll keep the DLC under wraps for a bit though. Probably announce the first one a few weeks before the game launches.
 
I actually would've preferred Laura to not be leaked just to read some of the reactions to the "Blanka" tease from Ono. That would have been one hell of a day for this thread.
