I don't know how I feel about Laura. Her hair is really cool, but everything else is kinda meh.

Today has been a bit of a hype killer for me. I'm sure both Zangief and Laura will be great, but I'm hoping the remaining character reveals are more exciting.

So, on a scale of 0 to 100, how upset do you think Ono is about the leak. He's probably pissed off about all the salt he could have made.

It was like the perfect combo: Zangief being revealed out of nowhere; his teases being super obvious; everyone expecting an SF2 character, but noboddy taking Blanka seriously; Laura being green, electric, and braziilian; It would have been the perfect counter breaker to the patern breaker, and at least half of us would have fallen for it. Super dissapointing.

Regardless of the leak today, it's been generally assumed that the BGS character would be Laura already. I doubt many people would have fallen for Ono's shenanigans.

Because they must; the character was intended to be revealed next week. Even if they goofed, they still need to stand by what they agreed with Capcom.

You just KNOW he was super stoked to screw with people with that Laura announcement. He has probably been looking forward to trolling people with this one for months. He had the perfect setup, tease Zangief very obviously and release him. Gain their trust back... then, when everyone thinks they have it figured out, blow their minds with Laura.

It is also a shame that we won't have the tremendous high of everyone being extremely elated about Blanka not being in the initial cast.

I want to see her in motion... I am a little nervous about the poses. Still, so far she looks pretty good.

Laura is more or less what I expected, but still I'm way more hyped about her than the Gief. I mean, I really like Zangief's playstyle and movelist, but I find the character to be extremely boring, more so with the zero changes to his design in V, so a new grappler (with fireballs!) is bliss.

Bjj is cool to have in a fighting game, but I would honestly have preferred something more original when we have so many characters with command grabs. Laura looks awesome to me. I can't believe how good the SFV newcomers are in general, and now I'm more hyped for the eventual Zen reveal than anything else.

Having an effective anti-air Yoga Blast that can serve a purpose without using an EX would already be a start, but an anti air grab could be fun

I can already imagine Ono teasing her electricity whatever moves and people losing their shit even more after Gief's reveal.

personally, i don't like Necalli or Rashid's designs. Necalli reminds me of Donnie from The Wild Thornberrys and Rashid looks like some Saudi tourist.
