Some Arabs have some African blood in them. A famous old example of that is Antarah ibn Shaddad. Of course, things weren't exemplary for them but they slowly integrated into the population with time.

I don't think she looks promiscuous. Her breasts are a little on the large side and she is obviously attractive but she doesn't look blatantly sexed-up at all like many fighting game women out there. I also really like her hair, it's outrageous and different but gives her character. Looking forward to seeing what she plays like!

While I think it was stupid and kind of disrespecting that they made Lisa and Vanessa more light skinned, I don't see the connection of why Laura should be dark skinned, when the character wasn't designed as such in the beginning.

This is great. Maybe they can have this skin color for an alternate costume ? We have seen plenty of skin color changes in the 2D games.

Not in Capcom's FWIK. I'm not terribly rad on SNK doing it, either, if that's what you mean. It doesn't get around the lack of that particular ethnic representation in a given game, since that isn't the default/original look for the character, and therefore not the creator's motivating desire. It's like people who argue that character creators solve the problem with lack of women and minorities in lead roles in big AAA games; it doesn't really, just creates the false perception that the problem is fixed, in a very temporary way.

So I guess the debate now are where are the black girls at? I'm sure Capcom can handle that eventually in DLC. I'd dig one of those smarmy fashion types around the luxurious urban areas that have been growing in parts of the African continent recently myself; that'd make for a funny rivalry-friendship for Karin on a different dynamic than the one with Sakura, and could be used to tie them into Elena and Ibuki if they ever get into V.
