Pearl Jam's best songs are already available in RB. I dunno how far they could've got with that type of game.
They've said that RB4 will be the only one this generation with updates to keep it fresh, which is why stuff they don't have yet in the game doesn't really bother me much cause it'll probably be added over the next few years.
So I really don't see them making band only games, unless it's for someone truly special, like Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd.

I take Harmonix at their word that they're going to try to stick to the platform idea and not to band specific ones. Though that doesn't necessarily rule out trying to develop something more akin to an expansion (i.e. making something like Green Day Rock Band as an experience inside Rock Band 4 instead of its own disc/release).

I hope they do something where you can buy like the best of ____ or something. I can't even find any pearl jam right now on PSN i guess i have wait for it releases i assume a bunch of stuff will be available to buy at launch.

It hurt before knowing that Sex Machine won't be carrying over, but it hurts even more knowing it might have gotten harmonies if it carried over. That song would have been a blast with the back and forth vocals.
I'd say even if rock band 4 comes out and goes on to sell 500 million full priced retail band in the box copies by the end of the next year there is still pretty much no chance of band specific versions.
I wouldn't however rule out like a $50 band pack that adds a new career mode where you get to try to live out that band's life playing a bunch of their songs and giving you licenced stuff to put on your avatar elsewhare and what not.
making rock band 4 a platform makes a ton of sense as it means you only have to worry about stuff working right in one version ect.

And it seems the RB4 pedal is the RB2 pedal(with a new pattern)....
Which I would place 3rd on durability.

It seems they also decided to go back to the plastic crossbars from RB1 drumsets! (bars where you attach drum pedal to) >=<
Personally I used one metal and one plastic. Would love to use both metal for looks but the plastic ones allowed from the drum pedal to hug it and be carried with drumset as one piece.
This just seems like Harmonix or Madcatz cut corners anywhere they could that wouldn't influence functionality. But I for sure won't be using my RB4 pedal for fear of breaking it..

I got a code today, the rep was super helpful and didn't even ask me for it.
I've put it into PSN online, the Rock Band 2 unlock is showing on my account, and now I'm wondering if I need to find an actual PS3 to buy the $10 transfer or if I'd be able to do that somehow on RB4 on PS4.

I am a big Pearl Jam fan as well and even a bigger U2 fan. So seeing all those Pearl Jam songs in the Store put a big smile on my face, so for me, I am hoping we get a big amount of U2 songs to really give me 2 of my favorite bands with plenty of songs.

I don't think we'll see any changes/updates until Tuesday. Maybe Monday to fix pricing errors.
We saw a minor update mere hours after the first. Added another song and fixed availability for a few others. Why they haven't fixed the price errors yet is beyond me. Oh to be a fly on the wall
Also I'm at that point where I'm about to pass out but I'll be super bummed if I miss out on that thing. Setting my alarm just in case

All of the 360 dlc will allow you to get the Xbone version for free, so buy the cheaper older stuff.

I still don't have a PS4 atm, but I bought the PS4 version of the game because I'll probably end up with one in my possession, and all my song DLC is on the PS3 versions.
It's going to be cheaper to just get a PS4 and the game instead of getting the Xbox One version and rebuying everything.

Very unlikely, maybe the Solus games but not bundles - they typically have limited space for games in John Lewis anyhow and they won't want to waste valuable typical chart game space with big old guitar bundles and band bundles

Might have to just get the wireless adapter for Xbox One for now and use my 360 instruments. Most of them have at least one dodgy button or the gyro activates by mistake but I'll live!

I didn't know that you need some kind of dongle to use wireless instruments on PS3, will I need the same one on PS4? Do Guitar Hero instruments also need this dongle? If so I hope the used WoR guitar I ordered comes with it.

All wireless PS3 guitars whether they be for Rock Band or Guitar Hero used a wireless dongle.
That same wireless dongle will be required to use it on PS4.
The wireless dongle for the WoR guitar can be found within the neck (part of the fret board slides off to give access to it and the battery compartment)
since it has a dedicated storage spot you SHOULD end up with one unless previous owner was an idiot.

How is the WoR guitar? I got a GH3 Les Paul that's over 10 years old in nigh-on perfect working condition, but I'd like another GH controller that's more reliable to go with it. the GH:WT guitar was absolute shit in terms of build quality.

Best guitar controller available, unless you prefer Rock Band's soft strum bar.
My warrior of rock guitar has issues with the strum bar doesn't work half the time. My rockband 1 guitar is dead and my gh3 les paul green button is dead. My only guitar that still works is my gh5 one. Im not sure how to mix my wor or gh3 guitar

It might carry over, not all DLC is up yet, and they haven't fully sorted out the issues with delisted DLC yet.
