NFL 2015 Week 4 |OT| - A Fraud Loses His Roar

Well, there it is, the shit performance that creeps up each season. How the team responds is what matters here. You hope the healthy dose of humble pie and dick slap to the face motivates them and keeps them hungry. I expect with the players we have, prideful guys especially on the defense, that they'll be pissed and ready to play in Detroit this week. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if we blow them out but maybe we'll struggle, that's what needs to be seen, how do we respond? The true silver lining is the one thing I cared even more about than winning happened, we stayed healthy, most notably Palmer. As for the game,

This was one of those twilight zone fluke-y games but the bottom line is we had four or five red zone opportunities where we blew it and had to settle for FGs. We shit the bed in our own house which is unacceptable. That said, wtf with the circus act? Fumbling the opening kickoff return? Larry fumbling a big catch on a great drive that would have led to a FG at minimum (can count on one hand the amount of times I've seen him fumble in his career), David Johnson dropping a pass in the endzone while WIDE OPEN. That was the easiest catch imaginable, he didn't have to move or leap or stretch or beat out a defender. It blows my fucking mind he dropped that. We can drop everything that happened all game long, despite how awful we played, the Rams are such trash that we were in it all the way to the end and had the game in our hands on our last big drive. In Rams territory and needed two yards for the first down. We get that and we could rush the last 3-5 necessary for a FG to win the game. What does Arians do? Take a shot down the field on BOTH third and fourth down.... I understand doing it once to try and catch them off guard but the other play needed to be about getting those two piddly yards. There's no doubt in my mind we could have gotten them with the success on the ground all game or hell, throw a little 3 yard dink pass FFS! Arians has gigantic balls and his aggressive play calling will win or lose any close game and this time we lost because of it. He is the way he is and I love my coach so I'll live with it but man was it frustrating, especially watching that in person.

So we beat ourselves and have no one to blame but ourselves. I'll be glad to get this out of our system early in the season and expect it to be a great motivation going forward. This team needs to show up no matter who we play against and you can't get complacent. Leave boasting and arrogance to the fans, you need to stay hungry and bust your ass every week.

Anyway, Go Cards! On to wrecking Detroit! but first, tonight we all align with Kas for the cause of a Sea Chicken loss! If this miracle occurs, it will make up for at least 80 percent of our loss.

And if the defense forces some three and outs they also get to get right off the field. Weird to blame the offense in a game in which they should have had 31 points. D did a great job against the run but they gave Kirk all day to throw and kept letting guys get open. I had been very happy with the defense so far this year, but the offense was more then good enough to win yesterday and the D had a very poor game. If it was any other team though you would not be blaming the offense for this loss.

I'd be blaming that loss on any team had had possessions like that and them crumbled at the end of the game. I assume anyone who doesn't believe in magical smoothies would do the same.

Plus, that team (and system) is built to score points to put pressure on the opponent which forces them to take chances and not have time to grind. They put up 20. The entire Kelly system revolves around the offense scoring. If he is being honest, that game is on the offense.

Eagles won the off-season, son

Except everyone was saying how dumb Chip was to let guys like Shady and Maclin go. Not one fucking site in existence said that the Eagles won the offseason, or even had a good offseason. It wasnt until the preseason and Bradford looked good that people started to get on the Eagles bandwagon. Even that was mostly due to Vegas adjusting the Eagles SB odds so high. There are a ton of Eagles fans out here, there is even an Eagles specific bar, so the Eagles tend to get more action out here then the normal team so that tends to skew things odds wise when it comes to the Eagles.

Poor Suh.

Now that Philbin is gone he can't hide anymore.

He better start trying soon or else it is going to get ugly for him.

I thought Suh would be a great signing. Has he been lazy from the start or just lost interest as the Dolphins struggled?

I have not watched enough of the Dolphins to say.

But it seems like he has contributed nothing which is unacceptable when you are a guy getting paid $100 million plus.

You're right. I meant the pre-season. Sorry!

On Saturday during practice, Tannehill, after a couple of practice squad players forced turnovers, Tannehill made negative comments toward them, including saying: “Enjoy your practice squad paycheck, enjoy your practice squad trophy.”

Sources say this has been going on for the past few weeks as the practice squad players have been intercepting Tannehill and frustrating the former Texas A&M wide receiver turned quarterback.

Philbin told the practice squad players to take it easy on Tannehill to not affect the young quarterback’s confidence.
:jnc holy shit, tanny getting shook by practice squad scrubs!

"Matt hasn't figured out the offense yet," wide receiver Roddy White said. "There are some things he wants to do, but he has stuck with the structure of this offense because he really doesn't know it completely. Once he gets to the point where he is locked in and knows everything that's going on, he will be able to expand and we will be able to get better."

Roddy still trolling Atlanta fans even after all these years.

I thought Suh would be a great signing. Has he been lazy from the start or just lost interest as the Dolphins struggled?

It has nothing to do with being lazy - he's not lazy, and works hard. The problem with Suh has always been that he is one dimensional on the line. He bull rushes to the QB every time. He spends his offseason workouts almost entirely on strength drills, thus improving his only pass rush "move." If an OL can get an effective double team or various other blocking tricks on him he becomes useless. And if he's on a team full of guys who can't take advantage of the double teams he generates, the defense folds.

Why was Detroit's defense average to bad during his entire tenure here until last season? Why were his only statistically great seasons during his rookie season and last year (contract year)? Like many great rookies, teams weren't really prepared for him as a rookie. Then last year he played with the most talented DL he's ever been on, with a great defensive coordinator who let them make plays.

I predicted this shit BTW. I pointed out that the minute things went south Suh would go back into his shell and things would simply get worse and worse. I have no ill will against him, I think he's a good player...but Suh is socially handicapped. In many ways he operates like a bully. The moment his aggression is countered or neutralized he becomes ineffective, and lashes out at people who are on his side. The negative stories have already started running in Miami, and they'll ramp up. So even when you guys start winning again he'll hold a grudge against the media, and some of his teammates.

Was told in offseason NYG hiring CB coach Tim Walton could be major factor in restoring Jayron Hosley's confidence + performance. So far ...

Giants Gaf ... seems like the coaching upgrade is helping a ton.

Come home to Texas Andrew! That really sucks could be a blessing in disguise he's been getting hammered behind that line.

I don't see anything that says Luck is out for season.

Shoulder not long term and is expected to play Thursday.

Spin lied, people died. Moon cat new leader of Colts.

Nothing about Luck potentially missing the season, but the injury itself might be pretty serious,

Sources tell me Andrew Luck has a subluxation of his right shoulder. Several prominent Doctors have been consulted. Had MRI last Monday.

http://fox59.com/2015/10/05/source-andrew-luck-suffered-subluxation-of-throwing-shoulder-has-consulted-3-doctors/

A source close to the situation says at least three out-of-state experts have looked at the injury and given their input. Luck had an MRI a week ago. The injury is also known as a partial separation of the shoulder.

I'll defend Suh a tad, after shitting on him lol. That Miami d-line has talent on it, unlike Detroit's d-lines until 2014. Suh is getting double teamed and no one else is making plays. That's a bad look.

Before Sunday he was actually graded as 6th (I think) of all DTs, which is terrible for the "best" DT in the league but still not as bad as people are making it seem.
