Transformers: Devastation |OT| Rising in Disguise

Any good collectible guides pop up for this yet? Figured maybe there had since it seems some have had it for awhile. It's installing now, can't wait to get into it.

No one has performed Starscream as good as him, the original and best imo
Tom Kenny did a pretty great job, though I couldn't stop hearing Spongebob every time he spoke.

Steve Blum also did a good job, though his performance was rather different from the typical screechy Starscream.

Soooo still waiting on my copy being sent (mustn't grumble as it was a corking deal) but early thoughts on the PC release if anyone's got it downloaded yet? Options and such if that's ok. Cheers in advance.

Got to love JP. Certainly showed he cared in the Rising threads though a lot of it was out of his hands.

I was born in 1986. But Transformers was still my childhood through repeats and VHS.
Same here. Repeats got some new life as well when the Generation 2 line of toys were introduced.

Allthough even as a kid I liked the Gen 1 toys over the newer generation 2. Still peeved I never got a complete combiner :( And I even have all six Constructicons... (Those were part of a line that couldn't transform into Devastator... )

My first transformer was sideswipe and hound back in 1984. The older I got the more my folks got for me. My dad even had a shockwave and my mom wheel jack and bumblebee

Well the kid in me won

Is there enough content in this game to warrant a $50 purchase? Love the G1 throwback but I don't want to pull the trigger if it's a one and done type of game. If that's the case then I can wait until it becomes cheaper.

Hound was my first and only for a bit until my parents finally caved in a bought me a couple more. Anyone bring their TF's to school for "show-and-tell" days. I remember some classmate brought in Jetfire and I was soooo jealous.

Today I have almost every TF from 1984-86.

Nice I remmeber when a kid came in with all the stunticons and the teacher took them because we weren't allowed toys at school.

my friends and I were decidedly working class growing up

we'd each bring a combiner limb to school, and my one friend whose stepdad owned a business had the larger chestpiece

every combiner was monstructor, basically

Yep I remember the toy confiscations. But we did have an official teacher sanctioned show and tell day like once a month back then. Girls were bringing in Strawberry Shortcake or Cabbage Patch and boys mostly GI Joe and Transformers. Memories :)

Those were the best days :) Kids don't know what they are missing these days. I always tell my 6 year old that the 80s were the best time for toons

Amazon, where are my PO codes?

Daddy wants his Nemesis Prime

That's weird. They sent me mine last night.
Hopefully you get yours soon.

I'm still using the regular Optimus skin but mainly rocking that Dark Saber. I've seen it drop (Goldfire™'s weapons, too), but I don't know if they only drop if you have the PreOrder stuff.

I totally agree with this. Read IDW TMNT comics.

I just started reading this when I got the hardcover volume 1 thing last month. It's really good. That's all I've read, though. Hoping Vol 2 comes out soon.

Wow, this is out already?

That being said, I'm not a G1 Transformers guy. I'm squarely in the Beast Wars camp. But... I feel like I should support this game regardless, out of a sense of duty, so that other games like it continue to get made. Plus, Optimus Prime...

I'm most definitely going to pick it up later on today. Haven't done so yet because I have a hard (psychological) time paying full price on Steam, as ridiculous as it sounds.

First review that I've found is from Metro.

They gave it an 8/10. Didn't even mention length as a con. So I don't understand why there's such a big delay in reviews. (Metro, while not known for their gaming reviews (it's a budget news source in the UK) generally tend to be in line with the majority of the industry in reviews).

GCU might cause me to purchase this since it'll be $40 + tax. Seems like everyone in the thread is enjoying it.

Got mine with GCU and GC for $25.. no preorder bonus codes unfortunately which stinks.

Any chance P* or whoever will give codes to those of us who supported the game via pre-order?

Alright, game just finished downloading for me, running through steam so I'll keep things updated if anything serious happens, but damn this goes silky smooth on a GTX 960.

So whats the verdict for those who have played it? I havent really looked much into this game but from those gifs few pages back it looks fun

If you like Platinum and/or Transformers, or just like a very tightly made game, buy it. This is closer in the vein of MGR and should be great for people even if they're not dire-hard character action fans.

Forgot it was only $50. With the worst buy gamer discount it's not a bad deal

One thing I find annoying so far is how enemies interrupt combo strings

Does anybody have the PS4 version to see if it runs at 1080P 60 FPS? If so, I'm just going to pick that one up today. Otherwise, I may have to wait a bit on the PC version.

Edit: Never mind, answered in the OP.
