Well you can thank "popularity" lists for that . There's barely any Zoners or Charge characters in the Top/Mid rankings.
Yeah, I know "barely" is the operative word here, but isn't Guile pretty high on those lists ? He would make more sense popularity-wise as the last SFII veteran than Sim, and I say that as a Sim mainer. Maybe they'll save him for DLC because of that very reason, though.
Yeah I think Guile would make a lot of sense considering the story/roster. Also with NYCC reveal coming up, it would be a great venue to announce he's back.
The speculation for who will make the roster AFTER we finally know who the first sixteen are will be very interesting. One thing we know for sure... there is not enough room for the many characters that would seemingly make sense in the initial roster.

Yeah this is the first series with this sort of a background (Not to take anything from KI) using this sort of model so it will be interesting to see how the updates work out.
There are a lot of characters that would make sense in slot 16 and even more that will make sense in slots 17-45 or so. I'm looking forward to riding this road through the current generation and maybe even a bit beyond.

I mean she is a Matsuda Jiu-Jitsu sensei, in otherwords Sean's Trainer/Teacher in Matsuda Jiu-Jitsu. You don't have to have the family name to be a Dojo sensei.

Just a Guess and Ono likes surprising people, everyone would expect an American at the event so he throws a curveball. That and storywise to tie in with Nash.

Sorry, I didn't want to be that guy, but I must have missed those.
The next reveal could literally be just about anyone. If Siliconera has any credibility maybe Alex will be part of the roster and Urien will start as a boss but I kind of doubt that. I'm expecting an SF2 character like Guile or Dhalsim at this point but it's pretty much anyone's guess.

So with two characters left they the choice to debut Zen in NY or the returning character. If it's not Zen then would Dhalsim get the public hyped? Dhalsim seems like a character they would announce like they did Vega, so I really don't think he's in the initial 16.

Well yeah much like Gief and Claw, 'Sim would just get his trailer released without any hype for it or during an event.
'Sim is one of the most likeliest to be in the initial roster.
Zen will be revealed during October I think.

No just in the 3ds version of revalations she had an ass. On the PS3 version it was gone. So it was a mistake. Thus a glitch.
No way would they reveal Zen at NYCC. Aside from it being strange them revealing the last two new characters in a row, it would be pretty disappointing if the last character shown is one from SF4.
Maybe they found out that people were more receptive to pancakes on PS3?
