Funny you mention DJ as the game could go with an extra character whose skin is darker,a nd I think DJ would be nice to have in this game

The thing about some 3s fans is that they only want to play 3s and complain at everything that isn't 3s. Then capcom releases 3s online and online is deserted in a matter of months.

Honestly, it doesn't even sound like you care about the actual game. Just that you want a 3s character. Sucks that there likely isn't one in the launch roster but you know they're gonna do tons of DLC so you can just wait instead of only posting things like "I hate Capcom".
It's not even about people who "got their characters". It's about not constantly whining about it. If Karin didn't make it in, you wouldn't see me saying I hate Capcom and shit. I'd be upset, yes, and then I'd get over it pretty quick.
That's like saying I want a complete sf3 cast and telling people who like sf2 characters to go play sf2. I want the new competetive game to have a character worth playing to me like anybody who plays fighters. It's not a hard concept to grasp.
I wish they would re release it on PS4. I'm sure it would breathe new life into it. Not many people wanna keep the PS3/360 hooked up to play it. I'd pay for it again.
And then they go "What's with this Hulk Hogan ripoff?"

I haven't insisted anything, all numbered entries had a new character as the boss, 1 Sagat, 2 Bison, 3 Gill, 4 Seth so 5 being Zen wouldn't surprise me
If you want a new game be willing to play new characters.

I understand, I had no one I wanted to main in SF4. Maybe try some of the new guys or wait for some DLC characters. Also who knows who the last character will end up being?
I complained about Karin, but she won the Japanese poll so I felt entitled.
True. Omega is so much fun and does crazy things to the characters, love it.

If you like the character, why not? People play these games for a lot of different reasons, we don't all go in with the same goals.

If I wasn't heading to work right now I'd curl up in the fetal position and have a good man-cry. They honestly shouldn't have made him be in the background if they're gonna do this to Alex, not seeing him at all would've been better.

Your argument is sort of invalidated when most of the roster isn't new characters.
That said you could play another fighting game until the roster gets good. You don't have to give capcom any money, its a product. You have no obligation to buy that product until it suits your desires.

The game was developed in Japan and named Street Fighter Zero, so it was intended on being a mainline numbered entry by the developers. Capcom USA just decided to change the name.
Also because I'm extremely anal retentive I need to point out you included Street Fighter as a mainline numbered entry despite it not having a number. Not a counterpoint or argument, just needed to point that out because that's how I am, sorry.
You probably have a different goal than "I like Karin, I'm going to main Karin". That's my goal, my friends who I play with are former tournament players (One of them was very high level) and they have no idea who they are going to main and won't think about it until they play it hands-on. It's a different mind set.

Playing new characters can just mean different characters. If Momochi showed up and only played as Hawk, that's still a new character for him.

Written with letters. In a series that uses roman numerals. And is currently reffered to as Alpha by marketing. It can still be a mainline game and be distinct/seperate from the others.
They said Alex and Urien would be included in the game. If Urien is somehow in it you can act like they are reliable again.
