Street Fighter V Roster Discussion |Thread 2| Deal with it & place your hope for DLC

Controversial opinion time: last vetran is Fei Long.

Code:
[WW][WW][CE][S ]
[WW][WW][CE][S ]

That updated roster pic suggests that to me.

You got to remember they got the Paris game show and PSX event before launching SFV.
Two shows already important enough for character reveals. There is no reason they couldn't have new information to present for NYCC.
No wonder Ono was so heartbroken over the Laura leak. Her reveal was supposed to generate enough hype to cover 2 separate events.
It probably would have gone over about as well is it did now. Brazil already got Laura. NY and gamers in general would have still expected a new character for NYCC. It's not exactly a small event.

That still would have been foolish in the internet age, man. The kind of people going to a NYCC panel on Street Fighter would've already seen the trailer by the time the panel got started.

Not only that but Laura was playable at the booths before the panel started too. The reveal was completely pointless.

People tend to overstate how popular Alex is, he was the 5th highest SF3 original character in Capcom's SF poll behind Q, Ibuki, Dudley and Makoto. Those 4 plus Urien (potential boss/secret boss character) have a better chance of hitting SFV before Alex...

The Executive Producer of Street Fighter just told us that everyone has been asking him about Alex, to the point where he had to actually bring it up at the panel.

He also did very well on the recent Play magazine poll, which the Official SF account publicized and endorsed: http://attackofthefanboy.com/news/ken-cammy-top-street-fighter-vs-wanted-character-list/
More than 70,000 people participated in it, so it wasn't tiny.

Nobody is overstating anything.

People want to see Alex, and it looks like he's going to show up eventually in SF5.

It's because he's visible in a stage they've been looking at during the con.

If he wasn't there, there probably wouldn't be as many questions about him.

Kinda surprised at no character reveal at all.

Still thinking it's gonna be Guile as the returning character.

It's a pity they only got to play on a new stage using 2 characters that were revealed in the last week.

Looking at the date of that article I'm sure that the first year of SFV DLC characters would've been planned well before that poll came in....

And as the poster above me said, Violent Ken is 9 lol. (can't wait to play him)

I wonder if the SFIII support is taking them by surprise?

I think after today this thread will go down in traffic significantly. Today's panel killed all the hype and kind of confirmed sim. So now everyone know the final roster.

Wow thats so weird that a fan favorite character being reduced to a stage element would suddenly get a lot of talk.

Ken got on there twice lmao trash

He said he was well aware that lots of people have been requesting Alex, and that he would relay that info to the SF team.

Also, he confirmed that the character in the NY stage is Alex.

I see, I guess that's good news. Him trying to pass off that's he's doing a good deed for the fans is bullshit when the fact Alex is in the NYCC stage proves that Alex is on the minds of the SF team. DLC it is then.

People were already talking about him way before the NYC stage.
The Gief announcement was really started getting people riled up about Alex in recent weeks.

And, of course, he was already requested before that (see: my previous post)
