NDP will be fine. They just need a new leader.
It won't matter. I'm not sticking around for another decade of "rebuilding". I'm fucking out.

Regardless of how this goes for the rest of the night, I hope that we can work to turn a page on a chapter of Canadian history that has been characterized by an erosion of much of what made Canada great. It'll take a lot of work, and it's not guaranteed just by having any one party wins, but I believe we can start that process.
Yeah, I have really mixed feelings. I want Harper out, but I just saw my dreams get crushed. I'm legit sad right now.
There's no point in throwing away your vote when you don't even know what the next election will look like.

I just can't get my hopes up anymore. I imagine this is what finding out your partner is cheating on you is like or something equally tragic. :p

Why do people keep saying this

I have zero faith the “natural governing party” will do anything but a half assed Australian style electoral reform if they get a majority. Despite what they say I don’t believe they have changed all that much.

And I voted for them (not much choice in my riding).

I usually feel you have a really nuanced point of view, but this is hyperbole to me.

I think you are exaggerating that so-called erosion (not sure it has much effect on the life of the average Canadian), but I agree with you to some extent about turning a page. Whether that meant Harper had to be sent packing is an entirely different discussion.

It will be interesting to see if the Liberals will be able to deliver on their lofty promises.

Thomas Mulcair was losing his riding with 3 polls (which seem to have had about 40 votes between them; how small were those polling stations?).
