Life is Strange | Spoiler Thread

I think the rewind power is a really cool idea for this type of game since it lets you experiment with different choices so it would be great it that was the thing they carried over to a potential second season but with new characters. But I don't know it might lead to too much retreading of ground they already covered

Too much retreading would be an understatement. No matter one's interpretation, the game makes it clear that Max was the reason that the storm exists because she messed with time. Putting aside how S1 already dealt with the full spectrum of a time travel story, we would either need to deal with another disaster caused by the protagonist's time traveling at some point or they'd have to retcon this fundamental part of the story from S1.

I played through the finale again as "Mad Max", the entire save file was just about being mean to people. The point at the end where Alyssa is afraid when Max tries to help and gets herself killed had me in stitches. Thought it was a bit odd that Victoria wasn't in the dark room after I didn't warn her, but I did let Max rip into her pretty hard at the End of the World party, so I guess they decided I couldn't care less about her.

Max also had a red shirt with a deer skull on it in the nightmare and finale movie (saved Chloe) that I didn't notice the first time I played through.

Overall, I enjoyed the way my second play through ended more than the first, but the first was definitely harder to see. Fantastic game and it ended better than I hoped it would, such a surprise for me this year.

Victoria is in the dark room only if you warned her about nathan, because she went to jefferson for help due to the warning. You should have tried talking to her in the dark room.

Why? It's easy to continue with Max and Chloe. They've moved to some bigger city and end up in trouble there.

Sure, it's easy. And would be extremely cheap and disappointing for so many reasons I could make a long list of.

One of them? The developers already said they'd have a new cast if they were to make a new Life is Strange game.

You guys that want another Max & Chloe story remind of the people that want another Joel & Ellie story.

It's done, it's a complete story, let it have the dignity to end.

Yep.

Otherwise we get things like Telltale's Walking Dead S2. It didn't ruin S1 for me, but it got close.

Alright, ill delete this. Everyone here seems to hate it. /lisg/ and reddit are eating it up so far, thought it would have the same feedback here...i was wrong

I will back an extended Ending/Epilogue for Life is Strange, but nothing like this.

I do think Sac Bay end could be padded a bit. It was very obvious which one was "sacrificed" to fit in the budget.

damn...this is the only place so far with a negative reception I should also add that I didnt make this

nothing against you. Its just that I hate these petition happenening for each game people are disapointed for some reasons (well, most game ending are disapointing, but come one, this is no MGSV or ME3 that were blatantly missing content) accept the developers original vision. If you love the game so far, accept the ending as it is.

If DONTNOD decided to add more to the Sacrifice Arcadia Bay ending that would be awesome, but I'm not counting on that. Like, at all. The petition, however, exemplifies this weird recent epidemic of player entitlement and displaying outrage in the worst way possible.

Not me. People projecting onto Warren, but I understood him. MaxxWarren was my otp.

What is this recent trend of dismissing everyone who didn't kiss Warren as "projecting"? I dislike Victoria too and mocked her while most people were trying to be friends with her, am I projecting? Was I actually a stereotypical popular girl bully in my teens as well?

Warren is annoying, when he appears I want him to go away so the story can actually progress. He's not in the loop, and he's not an interesting character by himself, so he's just a waste of time to me.

Why would I romance him? The only reason I even talk to him is because the game is linear in its "social linking" progression, if I could choose who to hang out with, I'd never see him. Has nothing to do with projecting. I wouldn't romance Logan either.

People want the nice guy to win but nice guys come last :(

Max x Kate OTP, y'all. Kate initially struggles to come to grips with her sexuality in light of her faith, but ultimately concludes that they don't have to be mutually exclusive and tells her shitstain family, father and sisters excluded, to fuck off.

Some were rating episodic games before and my three favorites are so far

1. Life is Strange
2. The Walking Dead S1
3. The Wolf Among Us
Have you played Tales from the Borderlands, you seem to like Telltale, and Tales is probably their best work to date.

Lol everybody here Friendzoned Warren.

Didn't the majority of people kissed him, I remember think the percentages where high on that

Seriously Warren, there's a drone-flying nerd girl who wants to go ape with you. And you just use her to try to get Max jealous.

I think you mean Kate/Max/Chloe/Victoria four way polyamorous relationship

Didn't know Max was into dead people

I'm going to second this recommendation, I started the series the day after I completed Life is Strange, it's been fantastic thus far, just finished episode 3 when I decided to take a break. I've been afraid to jump into the OT -- I expect a few un-tagged spoilers there, so I'll wait until I finish it to join the conversation.

Nothing worse than a 'I'm a nice guy, I deserve affection' whine ;)

FWIW I thought Warren was mostly harmless, and his affections were mostly sweet that you could brush off with ease. He wasn't a malicious 'nice guy', nor was he someone I thought Max really fancied. Liked, sure, but not enough to get with him. Warren and Stella was more appropriate, not least because she seemed to like him a fair bit.

I was just joking mostly due to the hilarious hate for Warren I see especially in the super best friends lp of the game. I do think some of the hate, and I do mean hate and not your statement to be strange. Like he's been conflated to be this super creepy stalker ( like the nightmare version) instead of awkward teenage boy.

I think they have to drop time travel alltogether, otherwise it becomes way too obvious that the ending will be the same as season 1. Pick a new superpower and pick new repercussions. Drop the "undo everything" ending and instead have multiple endings that come from your previous choices so it's not too predictable for season 1 players. I liked the idea of using mind reading as the next power. The ending could be based on how often you used your powers on whom and for what purpose. Use it too much and a person will distrust you, so you'll have to make sacrifices aware of what will happen or you'll be found out or so.
