So uh, why did people shit on Revelations 2 again? Was it because of the episodic release? I'm loving it so far, the dumb translation is perfect, I laughed at the Claire Sandwich line. Gameplay wise it's an evolution of the first 3DS game, which I loved, sure it ain't classic RE or maybe not as great as RE4, but it's a damn fun game (and already better than 5)

preeeetty sure there was a was decent amount of fanfare when the game was released. You might just be thinking of the usual classic RE vs. new RE arguments.
At least, this was what I noticed on GAF.

Not sure where you got that impression. The game was very well received and there's no doubt that it's indeed a great game.
It'll definitely be top 5 on my goty list.
Must've read a bunch of shit from "hardcore" fans then :lol. Glad to see it's actually well liked, I stopped following the game, wanted to wait for all the episodes to be out and then I just forgot about it.

When RE5 was released, I had to change the control style back to RE4. The default control scheme just felt odd for me.

Ahh thanks, I went to the store, clicked on the ultimate HD edition which sits at $19.99 on steam, it didn't show that I owned it with the special icon, the re4 I have in my library does not say re4 ultimate hd either, I guess I'll install it tomorrow to verify. Not doubting you, just found this odd.....not at home atm.

After beating RE4 on normal diff you unlock higher diff right? Thinking of playing/beating it on normal. And then when the HD project's complete I play/beat it on hard diff. If it doesn't unlock I'll wait.

No it comes with some DLC, but not all. For example the Wild and Halloween DLCs are not available if you get this ver. of the game.
