I haven't paid attention to this since the beta, but i thought i heard something about faster base speed and removing sprint in some competitive gametypes. Anyone know if thats true?

Sprint is still in. Base speed is up, sprint top speed down.

If you have a physical copy then you'll be able to play MP when they'll remove the press DLC requirement, so maybe just before midnight NZ time, just try to play online sometimes until midnight NZ

Warzone mostly. There will be a social playlist that'll be available on weekends with some different little gametypes tossed in that aren't typical.

There is SWAT where everyone has no shields which means one shot to the head means death, also there should be some Action Sack playlists with wacky gametypes coming.

Now we just need to wait for them to get populated. Currently the game can't find a server suitable for all members of my fireteam (just me). It's so clooose.

I don't think changing your location has any effect with this.
