- Yakuza 5
- Drawn to Death
- Wattam
- What Remains of Edith Finch

And if you count indies, ports, etc, probably around another dozen or so announcements on top of what I just listed.
Huh. Well I stand corrected.

It didn't feel as announcement heavy mainly because their biggest surprise got leaked, what - the day before or what was it?

I understand PSX/GC's announcements not being as appealing as E3's, but sometimes people really forget how much stuff are actually announced at these shows. Those 90 minutes ain't gonna fill itself.

Getting to work early tomorrow so I can leave in time for the conference, wtf is wrong with me.

I wish capcom would show a teaser for the RE2: Remake. Even if it's just a PNG of Leon and Claire.

I'd expect something like this from PSX.

ALSO FUCK YES! I just got someone to cover my shift at work tomorrow so I'll be able to watch this and I'll be using a vacation day so it's not like I'm missing pay.

I literally have no idea what could be announced here and I'm glad nothing has leaked so far.

Was it Twisted Metal: Black? That one is already on PSN as a PS2 classic.

It does not seem like the HD rendering and Trophy support would be simple add-ons (especially the latter), so they might be treated differently than standard "classics".

Yes, it is Twisted Metal: Black. But it was rated for the PS4, and PS Classics get rated per system, so it makes sense that if they are bringing those to PS4 it would get re-rated the same as all the other PS Classics.

That is just speculation at the moment. Adding trophy support and HD rendering to old classics would make them closer to ports than to emulated games.
Sony would include the basic emulator in the dev kit and each publisher would need to port the game, tweak the code and adjust settings to make it work properly on the emulator with a decent frame rate, add trophy support and republish the game. That also means starting from zero with the list of available titles.
So a really different concept compared to the idea of an emulator where you use the old code as it was and the emulator does all by itself.

For now about the Star Wars PS2 games I'd stick with the official line, they are PS4 ports with HD graphics and trophy support.

That isn't necessarily true. PS2 emulation works on PC without having to alter any game code and Sony has a patent for a means of applying trophies to games without altering their code. I am not speculating about that. I am simply explaining the factual information that would make such a thing possible. I don't know if Sony will use an emulator or if these are all ports, but it is speculation to claim either way with any certainty.

Also, unless you can find me a quote to say other wise, there is no official line that these are ports. Everything I have found on the subject indicates a refusal to answer any specific questions about the games other than that they will have enhancements and trophies and they'll be available for purchase separately from the Battlefront bundle.

The only thing I'll be disappointed with is if PS2 classics don't make an appearance. I'd rather Sony deny my hype outright then make me wait so long.

True. I completely forgot about them. While not a new IP. Guerilla Cambridge has been working on a new Killzone so I assume that will get announced as well.

Maybe Sony Bends game will get introduced as well?

Guerrilla Cambridge is making Rigs for PlaystationVR
Bend's game sounds like a huge game, imho it's gonna be at E3 next year

Wasn't there also a job listing hinting at them working on a "multi-million seller" franchise?[/URL]

I can't link to dualshockers, but just search this on Google: Guerrilla Cambridge Working on “High Profile, Multi-Million Selling Franchise:” New Killzone Coming?

Will there be a way to get a spoiler free link after the conference? I'll be in class but will come back home about 2 hours after the conference is finished and I'd like to watch it all fresh.
