Sony : Paris Games Week press conference dated

Leaks means there would be new games announcements. If there are any, I would expect them to be at the Playstation Experience event in December to be honest.
Hmm?
On Tuesday, October 27th at 10:00 AM Pacific we’ll be drawing back the curtains on the inaugural Paris Games Week PlayStation Press Conference. In front of gathered media at the iconic La Grande Arche de la Défense, we’ll be announcing new games and offering some exciting updates on previously announced titles.

Sony announced 3 or 4 new games last year at Gamescom. There will most definitely be new announcements. You don't hold a press conference just to give updates on already announced games.

Yeah, we heard that countless times in the last 60 pages. And its not true, PGW will have new stuff, if this stuff are games that appeal to you or not is other discussion.

Holy shit I just realized that I don't have class tomorrow because it's a tutorial week.

It looks like the stars are aligned, and it's my destiny to watch the press conference.
I want to know what Valkyria of the Blue Revolution is. Sony FUND VALKYRIA CHRONICLES GOD DAMN IT.

Missed that, that's cool. I was just being pessimistic and expected nothing. Not having leaks when there's always some whenever there's a event, I just had a feeling that it wouldn't be great for game announcements or as a event in general. Time will tell.

I mean, PGS might no be the place to go wild with new announcements, but it's naive to actually believe that there won't be at least one or two ones.

Gamescom stuff never leaked, why would this be any different? SCEE just hide stuff better than SCEA or SCEJ.

Their first announcement is...a movie.

The Name of the Game is a feature-length documentary about the team up between the legendary arcade game designer, Eugene Jarvis, and the Finnish game developer, Housemarque. We follow the key people making the video game all the way from the initial brainstorm meetings to the release of the game. The film gives the audience an unprecedented access to the unpredictable and plain crazy nature of the game developing process - uncensored. With the footage we already have, we promise you: this won't be your average video game documentary.
Coming in 2017

Well Rushy is heavily hinting at Driveclub being shown at PGW, they are not going to show off two racing games. That would be stupid.

Honestly I would totally be fine if they announced a new Motorstorm. I don't necessarily think they cannabilize each other if they are released on separate schedules? Idk thats just me.

When PS1/PS2 classics are eventually compatible on PS4, will the whole PS3 catalog be playable or will they start over again? I'd love to play Mega Man Legends.

Considering that SCE just now started sending questionnaires asking people if they would like PS1/PS2 classics support on the PS4, chances are quite low that it will happen now.

That questionnaire is pretty meaningless overall. It's full of the most requested updates for the PS4, so they know people want that stuff. And we already know that a Euro ratings board has rated PS2 games for the PS4, so that's already in motion.

I don't think it was to find out what we want, it was to find out what they should prioritise.

My guess is it will slowly trickle out, though a total influx of "everything's available" would be completely awesome.

Licensing always is what holds things back the most. Sony should have tried to acquire licenses to PS1/2 "classics" to the PSN itself as a platform, not on a console basis. And the older each game is, the harder it is to re-release it as classic on a new console, unmodified.
