Makes total sense. People thought he was a shoe-in. Season 2 trailer later on, and then at the end of the trailer insert the Raging Demon sound effect. Instant hype.
The second is definitely Guile and it's a jungle stage so I don't think the background matters. Seems like Balrog, Guile, Alex, Ibuki, Juri, Urien (?)

So Alex is normal in the Metro City background stage, but in fighting he's evil? Some of these guesses feel wrong.

Shadow 1 is likely Alex, he's even standing in the New York stage. His non-silhouetted part are his eyes.
Shadow 2, everyone's guess is Guile. What's with that red patch? Some military thing? And is he wearing a belt of some sort?
Shadow 3, My guess is Balrog wearing those robes boxers wear before fights and stuff. That insignia though, what is that? Doesn't look like Shadaloo. Didn't that kid he rescued at the end of his SF4 ending have some sort of brand on their hand? Is it the same?

I can't see any characters in any of them because they're intentionally vague as fuck. We don't know who got redesigned and who didnt.

They just started working on Alex after the negative response to him being a background character so he's last I guess lol. Otherwise it's set in order of SF2>SF3>SF4

oooThen it's definitely Urien. Look at the legs, you can see the outline of some rippling pants material. It even seems to be tucked in at the feet where boots would be.
With the amount of work on his model that was datamined, that seems unlikely.

I see Urien in te first one (hair outline and eyes). It's definitely not Alex hunched over because the guy is mid run. I'm guessing the last one is probably Alex since he's got boots. Interesting enough the first and last are standing in the NY stage. It's probably nothing though.

Shadow 3's symbol looks a bit like the eye of Horus, but with extra details on the bottom.
