Detroit: Become Human (Quantic Dream) Announced for PS4

baby's first android existential crisis

Great graphics and tech, typically cringe worthy, awful script for what is certain to be an awful narrative.

Wow that is one hell of a bad title. And Detroit as the center for a cybernetics boom....? Sounds oddly familiar.

Either way, it LOOKS amazing. Graphically really something special.

Deus Ex HR also started in Detroit. Edit; Whoops that's what you meant.

I dunno, looks a bit generic. Might just be because all the Deus Ex Mankind Divided trailers have similar tones and themes, just with androids instead of cyborgs.

Feels a lot like Real Humans, the swedish sci-fi TV series (also a UK remake titled Humans), so that's always a nice topic to cover, not sure David Cage will do anything meaningful with it.

Also, I'm getting a feeling they might reintroduce some sort of body jacking mechanics, where you jump from one android to another, like you transferred your soul in Omikron. Might be totally wrong on that though.

Dialogue was terrible, expected from a Cage joint though.

"Hey guys let's put some pop existential quotes as filtered through a vapid teenager's view of the world into an android, that'll seem deep and genuine, right?"

Will still probably play it though, heard he's actually using other writers so maybe it gets better?

The premise is really interesting, Day 1 even if i didn't really like Beyond, this story looks way more interesting even if a bit unoriginal.

Can't wait.

At least Cage hired some new writers for this. This might actually be good, as long as he sits back and lets the professionals write the damn thing.

I can't be the only one who sees Mads Mikkelsen in this.

I found it weird how she was created with underwear while in the tech demo she was nude hiding her private parts. Was it censored for the show's purpose?

Finally, a game that takes place in a location I am familiar with [+cool sci-fi aspect]

Really loved when she said, "our story."

+1

Really sounded like David Cage felt he was the first one to come up with the idea of androids wanting to be human. The entire trailer was extremely basic.

With Quantic Dream, the hype is usually better than the game itself. But I'm legitimately hyped and I'm just gonna bathe in it until the game releases.
