Halo 5: Guardians |OT| The Trials of Osiris

So apparently because of a "technical issue" amazon won't be delivering my copy today. Fuckin great. They won't let me cancel it either. Why do I bother using their service if they can't deliver on release? Super frustrating. Oh well.

Back to overwatch

Does anyone else feel that the guns lack impact? The shotgun is pathetic sounding and lacks punch, and it feels like the enemies just absorb bullets before falling down.

Just completed the first two levels on legendary co-op with another friend. That was brutal, took us two and a half hours.

I weep for myself trying to get that solo legendary achievement later on.

Is it always this bad with Xbox One? Welp, guess I'll just leave it on overnight.

It's not usually this bad, it can be at times, though. There's been talk that having the game install while having the update downloading and installing makes things go to a crawl, so that might be it. But still.

Make your teammates get all the extra weapons in the room. So much easier when you can get them holding railguns, or saws etc. And when it's a large room try and keep them near you for easy revives. The last thing you want is them down on their own against Hunters or Knights while you're off somewhere hiding for pot shots.

As for installs, try and do the disc install offline, and then go online for the patch update. Anecdotal but I'm hearing it's faster that way.

Good tips. I forget a lot about the teammate orders while playing campaign. Never thought to give them weapons either.

While I know I won't collect them all... Is there any pattern to where intel is? I'm on the first level and I'm already looking around every corner to see if I can find it. Are they in really obscure places?

Bought the limited edition.

Opened it, instantly regretted it. I have to manually build the guardian statue with a bunch of cheap, flimsy pieces of metal? Are you serious? :|

Is there matchmaking for campaign?

Unfortunately nope! =/
Lots of people seems to support this idea (of not having it). I am totally in favour of having it though. Played Gears for the first time and did the entire campaing cooping in matchamking, found some really decent players there. Don't see why that is such a horrible option for some though.

Not my picture, but I loved it. lol

Everyone is playing Halo 5 now! =P

Studied for one of my mid-terms and decided to go through the campaign a bit.

This... Visor effect? God I didn't think it'd bother me this much. Chief's seems fine, but Locke's seems like the most egregious one. It's also something not present at all in MP for what I hope are seemingly obvious reasons. This isn't something they can patch out is it? I guess I'll just have to deal with it.

Also I never played Halo 4. These Forerunner or whatever weapons are funky as hell.

The taste of 60FPS though. There are A LOT of obvious workarounds, but the taste and feel are genuine

Guys.....GUYS! ...This game feels incredible.

I wouldn't say someone is crazy if they thought this is the best feeling Halo MP.

Hundred percent. Some things definitely dissapointed me (I mentioned them earlier, the weaker radar, the slightly overpowered automatics) but then again those are minor. The game truly feels polished to death.

On another note does anyone here who used to absolutely destroy in the previous halo's have trouble doing well in his one. I feel as if my skills took a massive dip hahahaha but then again maybe i'm getting old

PS: if anyone here loves playing customs/teams i'de really love to join the community as I barely have any friends online playing it. My GT is: Anfony O

This Metal Earth thing is completely and totally fucking retarded. There is literally no way I'm going to be able to get these fucking pieces punched out without ruining at least half of them. How the fuck am I expected to build this thing?

The reduced auto aim takes alot of getting used to. Also if you're using default controls and you've played all the other Halos, it's a difficult switch with LT for aiming.

Lol toss is in the trash. When I saw what was in the $100 version I laughed.

Special editions are so dumb these days.

Big fan of the lower auto aim. I feel like I'm able to use that to my advantage and startle people in multiplayer and use my dodging to my advantage and put shots right into their face piece as they try to flip grenades 20 ft past me in a last ditch effort lol. My bullets are faster than your grenades son!

Holy cow, the IQ drops horribly in some spots. I know it has variable resolution but wow.

Noticed it the most in Warzone.

I'm using Recon. It is perfect for me, except for one thing: Ground Pound recquires holding B, so it makes much harder to aim the ability with the right stick. But I'm trying getting used to it, and I think it will be easier than getting used with Bumper Jumper (that's totally different of Recon, that I'm mostly used already).

I thought it was it was just me! O man ive been messing that up at least a few times a match..

So, what's the overall consensus from HaloGAF? Tbh I'm kind of hesitant on buying this and I liked 4 (mainly for multi, campaign was alright but pretty weak), but I think I will at some point since the impressions seem mostly positive. Reasons I'm hesitant are that local MP is gone and that was easily the thing I played Halo 4 for the most (even though I liked online a lot too, granted I did a lot of that in split screen as well), and the footage I've seen looks kind of off and not Haloish to me (though I haven't watched much, I've hardly watched any of the final game). But again impressions seem positive, the game is fine?

Finally finished my install. I have to say, the graphical complaints are a non-issue for me once the game starts and you're in the middle of the action. The only thing I notice is that sweet 60 frames

I know there are a bunch that will agree with me when I say...

Absolutely the best Halo multiplayer experience yet! Bests Halo 2 and 3 easily IMHO. So smooth... So tight... So insanely polished! Feels amazing to play!

After about 30 Arena games...minus Orion and Breakout...

shit feels like Halo b...

I've been sitting between 94% and 98% the past 45 minutes. This is rough.
Yep, 92-100 is painful, by far the slowest.

Can you at least start up single player when you hit 50%? I picked up the game about 30 minutes ago and am at 58% but I think that's only for the 9 GB update....hope I'm wrong.
Nope.

I just finished my install. 4 fucking hours. Garbage. I got through the first cut scene and was so disgusted and sleepy that I turned it off.

So why would all my MP data be gone? Got onyx earlier and played a few warzone games. All playlist show 0 games played and 10 matches needed to qualify again.

Can't get the game till Thursday so is the story good or bad? I don't mind that it's short or relies to much on its lore. Never thought "this game relies to much on its own lore" was a legitimate criticism.
