Halo 5: Guardians |OT| The Trials of Osiris

Any other long time players having a huge problem in Multiplayer? I've been playing since Halo CE on the Xbox, got to the 40s in Halo 2, 50 in Halo 3, Onyx in Reach etc. I can drop into MCC and tear up, go 2 or 3 kills for 1 death easily.

However I'm absolutely trash in 5 and I don't understand why. My KD is 0.7, I'm losing 70-80% of my games and every game is frustrating and feels like I'm playing against pros. My aim feels constantly off and I can't seem to hit people. Anyone else having this issue?
 
CTF is amazing in this game. I've had some really fun and tense moments where both teams had each other's flags. I'm glad they made it so you need your flag home to score.

She's superb in the game. I mean she does Halsey and then Cortana. I haven't gotten there yet, but that JumPeRJumPzZ skip video where she's like dammit Warden, she's such a talented voice actress. Whatever the end game is, death of Halsey and Cortana, I hope they can reuse Jen for other roles. I'm sure she's got the range and capacity to do so.

Played campaign on heroic a bit today and then Warzone for quite awhile... middle of the day my team almost always won every match but the later it got the worse and worse my various teams did... to the point where I felt like my bullets weren't even doing any damage. Started to get seriously angry haha ... I could sit there and pump someone full of BR/Mag rounds and they don't die, then they shoot me twice in the body and i'm dead. ARGH WTF. Over and over and over I sat there and lost firefights... I would melee someone, he would melee me back, i'd melee him again, then he would melee me and i'd die. always. Opened 5 or 6 gold packs today. Got one visor and one uncommon armor piece. REQ are a bunch of horse shit too... I get so many duplicates (Usually Saw, Need, Mongoose) it just feels really underwhelming to save up for and open packs. All this being said I like the game... it just felt like I was being punished today :/

Perhaps i'm just overly used to destiny? I can go on serious kill streaks in the crucible no problem. But Halo? I'm a scrub. Ugh.
 
The one and only complaint I have about multiplayer is that the radar is way too short range. I know they said they thought it was too big in the beta but it's far too short now. It caters far too much to the hardcore who don't want any radar. I'd prefer normal radar or no radar at all. No half measures.

Other than that I like pretty much everything. I just hope we see some more memorable new maps added quickly. I'd also like to see daily and weekly challenges.
 
I just want to say that ground pound is an excellent addition to the sandbox. Balanced and super satisfying to pull off. Love it.

Also, Orion needs to get the boot. It's ugly, and it just plays terribly. I'm fine with every other map.

I now realize why you did Saints Testimony.
His outburst should hit home for any of us. If we think, therefore we are, why wouldn't self preservation be a cornerstone of existence. He said it best, why is she dangerous because she decided to want to live rather than die when she was 'supposed to'. But 'I don't like it' if I think I know the end game is for this storyline. Especially after all we went through with CE-4 to have it end like this.

Yeah I understood that, glad Roland is still with us. Soooo is there any long term unlocks, like with H3s last skull? Cause that would be amazing.
 
Whew, over the past day and half, I've gone from Plat 1 to Diamond 2. Hoping to get to Onyx soon. Having other good players to play with is so key in this. There's games where I won't do so hot, and they'll carry me. Then other games I'll do great and great carry them. It makes everything so much easier.

I was mostly comparing the scenes because of their similar actions. Sure, where it came from was different, but
her scene had a full closing arc. We don't really get to see anybody react to Roland's bitchin'.
 
I don't have a problem with Radar being as less useful. There are moments where I still use it, but I think from a competitive standpoint and skill standpoint a weaker radar increases both of those.

I would absolutely love surrender for arena when teammates leave. It should still count as a loss and everything, it just would be nice to not have to waste 12 minutes.
 
I'd feel better about the whole REQ thing if the "automatic" packs you get for leveling and commendations weren't filled to a tee with garbage you already have 12 of. But no, to get anything good you have to go look at the screen that is like heeeeey spend some real money.

So I'm a bit confused. I've played 42 matches of Arena (probably about 35 of those in Slayer), but I have yet to play on Eden, Empire, Truth, or Pegasus...

Is there something off here?

One of the things that prompted me to make my map list image was because I played a map I didnt even know existed for the first time today, and some others I've only seen a single time (like Empire or Truth). I've never seen Eden. I think map weighting may be having a more significant effect than expected, seems off to me too.
 
I know BTB is coming later - I know, I know. But is anyone else feel like this game is missing something severe without maps supporting vehicles (outside of Warzone)? Not trying to whine... it just makes the whole game feel incomplete to me.

Yes, most definitely. Between that and the game having like, three gametypes right now, it's severely limited.

I stopped playing Arena because this exact same thing happened to me more than once. At first I was playing only Arena but I got sick of it. Slayer only for me now. A am sick of strongholds on the damn Rig. This aggression will not stand.
 
Seriously, though, why isn't Empire, Truth, Eden and Pegasus in Slayer? I'm not even sure if Fathom is in there, I've only played it 2-3 times and I can't remember if it was in another playlist.
 
Anybody like to roll in Arena can add me; GT same as Gaf name. I'm in gold tier, but I honestly think I am a bit better than that. It's hard playing with PUGs sometimes.
