Umm ok. I get thrown out of a match of Breakout, and get handed a 15 minute ban. I didn't even do anything.

I'm talking about the whole story till that point. When did the Dr lose an arm for example?
And now I'm unbanned?? Wut.
Enjoying the campaign so far with my bros. Just done with Mission 7 on legendary. Dunno how anyone had trouble with the Warden. We beat him twice with zero efforts. Mission 3 gave us the most trouble because these goddamn Prometheans kept re-spawning non-stop
I dunno. Are they quitting, griefing, or betraying?
No idea, was just watching Snipedown and everyone was confused
Fun times in Warzone earlier. Full parties make for some fun times.
Even though my Free for All kda is around 6 now, I can't help but feel that so many of my kills are just cheap as hell. I really do feel that some of the level design and spawn placement in arena maps is among the most amateur I've experienced in an online fps. The only other online shooter I can think of that has this absurd spawning is Call of Duty Ghosts. I mean, it's often actually lol worthy. Spawning literally right behind or beside someone, whilst another person spawns right behind you, whilst another spawns in-front and so on. Granted, not all the maps are so bad, but some of them are just hilariously poorly designed.
It's a shame because the actual gunplay itself feels really satisfying and competent, it's just so much of everything else that surrounds it is lacking. Level design, spawn points, over emphasis on grenades (they can literally be spammed the shit out of, worse when it's a group of you), power weapon positioning and domination, the shoulder charge etc. Naturally it's all subjective, and I'm sure lots of people will appreciate/prefer these aspects, but I really believe they need tweaking.
One caveat I'll add is that I haven't actually played Warzone yet. I've just been focusing on Arena and have instead sunk several hours in to this mode. I figured I'd use that to not only practise, but earn all my fancy requisition items to use. I'm hoping the Warzone maps are a little better thought out.
I've only played one Warzone match and it was a lot of fun. Bigger space to move around in. That's where I'll be spending my time. One caveat I'll add is that I haven't actually played Warzone yet. So far Team Arena is my favorite playlist in Arena. Some maps are also definitely Garbage - Orion, looking at you. All the other non-forge, non-Rig maps are pretty great though.
So I've been buying exclusively gold REQ packs. Am I doing it wrong?
Every Xbox comes with headset.
I dunno, it's worth any losses or lack due to lack of communication to avoid the random idiots that you hear online. I haven't chatted on XBL or PSN in at least 4 years and and enjoy MP much more because of it.
No they don't? Mine didn't.
I got the Gears of War bundle.

Nobody I played Halo 3 and Reach with play on consoles anymore. So all my games are with randoms. It is frustrating that since nobody talks matches are consistently lost, but if myself and just one other person are communicating, shit dramatically turns around.
It is so frustrating that this isn't an issue on PC. I have never had a communication issue on PC or had to worry about idiots ruining the experience. You'd think on consoles it would be easier sin e the pool of people is larger.
Huh, every single Xbox my friends have purchased have come with one.
Also thats fucked that that it isn't mandatory.
Also first time a a big shot like Stinkles replies. I'm a fool.
Depends on your goal. If your goal is to get good REQs, gold's the way to go. If you really badly want legendaries and are impatient, gold's the way to go. If you're a completionist, buying silver will knock out perms faster though (but you won't get any ultra rare/legendaries and will eventually have to swap to gold anyways).
Anyways game's great, breakout's da shit.
If you want the best bang for your buck wouldn't it be buying silver to knock out the lower permanents at 4 per 10,000 points, then buying gold when the only thing you can get are the things ONLY gold will provide? I mean why spend 10,000 to get 2 permanents and have them be lower rarity?
Well, they have been around all along, seeing as they were introduced before even the first game came out, but yeah, they're kind of non-characters in the game. That said, I don't know why you think you're "supposed" to care about or be attached to them, because it's not like the plot hinges on their relationships like it does with Chief and Cortana's in 4.Even though I'm starting to understand the story better as I go along, I still think it's presented badly. I shouldn't finally be grasping the basics of what the hell is going on this late in the game. I couldn't get invested earlier on because I was too busy wondering what the hell anything was. It would probably help if the story started at the beginning instead of the middle.
For instance, why am I suddenly supposed to care about Blue Team? They were just introduced in this game, but they're treated as though they've been around all along and I'm supposed to be attached to them by now or something. You don't even spend as much time with them as you do with Osiris.
Yup, team chat is all but dead in online games. Barely get anyone with a headset so I just keep my adapter with mic off so I can hear footsteps better using just stereo headset. Last year I think I only had to pay $30 something for the stereo headset and adapter. Don't use it enough to ever justify ASTRO's. Gonna buy an elite as soon as they restock though.

If you had some 3.5mm earphones, that usually come with smartphones lying around, you can use em since MS added it to the newer controllers.I just checked. Apparently only the US versions of the Gears Xbox One bundle are without the headset. That's hilariously fucked up. Spent $20 getting a headset when it used to be free.
Blah. Whatever. Hopefully I'll find people to play with that talk and want to party up.
On the contrary, I was playing Team Slayer with a very communicative team. Made all the difference.
No they don't? Mine didn't.

You get more cards via gold. Same amount of perms, but more cards. So if you just want reqs or legendaries/ultra rares, gold's the better value arguably. But if you're a completionist, silver is smarter in the long run.
I screwed up gaf, first time playing halo since combat evolved back in the day. i bought into the hype, thought i would enjoy the multiplayer but i really, really didnt like ittakes too many bullets to kill.
