Halo 5: Guardians |OT| The Trials of Osiris

Destroying vehicles, instakill in corridors, chaos? Lots of things. Are you charging it?
But is it terribly effective for those things? Most matches I've played in, most people don't seem to even bother using it. I've tried charging it, firing single rounds in succession, in corners, corridors, and the like. It just feels woefully ineffective and easy to evade.

On the flip side, I really enjoy the hydra. Though a map like Plaza, with so many walls, ledges, and general escapability can make it a bit tough to get kills with.

I haven't tried it in Warzone yet, but can imagine it may be good for sneak attack vehicle kills, but that remains to be seen for me.

I'm just getting to mission 11, but the game didn't feel like a Halo game until mission 7 to me and I'm hoping this keeps up for the rest of the game. Missions 1-6 were "meh" or worse IMO.

I feel like the back half of the campaign is way stronger. Even if it has some of the same...flaws, imo, as the front half.

6 out of my last 7 games I had at least one guy quit from my team, can't remember the last time I played a 4 v 3 the other way. Its incredibly frustrating.

Is there no way to play something similar to Blood glutch CTF?

For now, no. Warzone is the big team playlist for now. Or playing team arena may give you CTF. Other than that Big Team Battle comes out sometime in December from what I've heard/read.

How does everyone feel about the maps? Overall I think they are good and stuff like Fathom, the rig really stand out. But Orion and regret I feel like are cruddy.

Also Does anybody know what the deal with the map rotation is? There are some cool maps that could be in the slayer playlist, like truth and Eden?

I really like , Rig, Truth, Fathom, Colesium, Eden, and Plaza. Empire is ok. I also think Pegasus is pretty cool, but I wish it had true art, instead of being made completely in forge.

Orion sucks.

I wish
Genesis
, Sunaion and Swords of Sanghelios inspired some MP maps... The focus on Human architecture is boring, even though the maps play really well...

Mostly good maps. No classic maps though...

Where in the fiction does it explain where Blue Team has been for the past however many years since before Halo 1?

It does strike me as a missed opportunity that 343 never explained where Blue Team has been for the past, like, 15 years. It should have been a hug reunion moment, the last of the Spartan IIs. Did Chief even know they were still alive?

Anyone seen the artwork for the 'My Rules' achievement?

Chief's wearing the cloak from the original teaser. Content cut?

This looks so good. But you are right, got nothing to do with the game LOL which is unfortunate.

Escalation covers that.

They actually met up before Halo 2.

So I got team killed for defending the flag area and then watched a teammate tea bag someone in the flag room while an enemy grabs the flag and leaves in the same game. Lost 3 - 0. /sigh

First Strike and Ghosts of Onyx lay out the majority of it. The post-4 reunion is covered in Escaltion, but it's pretty brief and probably not going to be terribly important. Check Halopedia for a rundown.

Worth noting that it's only been about 4 or 5 years since Reach fell.

I really wish I found Warzone fun. Right now I just use it as a frustrating warmup for Arena and Slayer. It's so random and chaotic, and I hate how points are awarded for boss kills. Plus I'm a CQC player, and Warzone is all about range.

Huh, yeah I have the Elite controller. Each fire mode just shot regular shots, thought I was going insane.

I think the new controller update fixed that, but I haven't picked up a PP to test it. If you have the NXOE Dashboard, the new version of the Accessories app has the update. I think the Windows 10 version of the app does too.

Hold down right trigger if you DONT have hair triggers set wrong on elite. Just like the olden days...

So it's an issue with settings? That makes sense because I kept switching and testing an OOTB Halo 5 setting and then a custom one of my own, and that might have been the inconsistency I saw.

I'm addicted to opening up gold req packs. I never usually end up falling for shit like this.

I can feel the cartlidge in my thumb joints shrinking away.

Everything you posted about warzone is why you don't like it. No need to force yourself. It's a great mode, just not for you.
