Halo 5: Guardians |OT| The Trials of Osiris

well I mean promethean weapons which are light based, their version of the rocket launcher shot red light which exploded like the plasma launcher does, it was a nice weapon.

But thanks for reminding me about the sticky gun, that was an ok weapon, bit cheesy.

The Incinerattion Cannon is still in the game. It's changed to a two style shot weapon with a single pull and charge projectiles.

RIVER OF LIGHT
The war against the Flood led to many technical advances. All proved fruitless. Improved Incineration Cannon that will unleash a long burst of energy blasts if allowed to charge up by holding the firing trigger.

HEARTSEEKER
Forerunner Warrior-Servants were relentless on the hunt. Advanced Incineration Cannon that fires tracking energy charges.

I got a lot certifications in Bronze and Silver packs. Warthog was one of them.

From my experience, Gold packs suck.

Interesting. It does seem as though I've been getting a ton more customization items than most people, and I've been sticking mostly to Gold. Maybe certs are weighted to Silver and Bronze, and items are weighted to Gold?

I must say, it's a liiiiiiiittle ridiculous that it took me till lvl 20 to get the Warthog cert.

And I STILL don't have the DMR cert!

I have the cert for scorpions, oni warthogs, the white super strong wraith, banshee and ghost but only an AR with long scope, a regular SMG + scoped version and a regular BR.

The incineration cannon is still most definitely in the game.

That is a very good point. Well I am already hyped for H6 now. Are they really going to make us wait 3 years? Now they have the gameplay all locked up, they just have to refine it. I hope they can give us earlier than 3 years :(

The wait will be unbearable feels like I'm reliving halo 3 again lol

at least we have Halo Wars 2 to keep us company until then

Incineration cannon is in the game. Not sure about arena but I've seen it plenty in campaign.

Anyone seen the artwork for the 'My Rules' achievement?

Chief's wearing the cloak from the original teaser. Content cut?

I think the initial teaser and this are supposed to represent what will happen in the future(chiefs visor is still cracked) and 343 are probably leading up to it.

no way would they tease cloaked chief in toys, a trailer and concept art and not do anything with it

ehh could be wrong too but its fun speculating

I certainly wouldnt mind Chief going it alone again for a lot of H6, maybe with Blue Team only appearing for certain missions or the Chief getting separated at one point.
They really should deliver on the lonely cloaked Chief look since they sold people toys of it haha

That would really give the teaser new meaning, though. Instead of looking at his empty cortana chip
longingly while looking for her as we assumed, it'd be more like looking at it longingly regretting what she has become as he looks upon one of her Guardians.

Chief going at it alone would be cool, but I really hope we get more action from Blue Team next time around, having them for only three missions was super disappointing

So after a Two solo runs, Heroic and Legendary:

Kills: 3607
Deaths: 156
Time: 1 day 41 mins

That campaign was awesome. The only part that gave me trouble was the first warden fight.

Suppose I'll continue the tradition of a Mythic difficulty playthrough at some stage. Bout to jump into arena now though.

343 fixed pretty much every issue I had with Halo 4s campaign. Besides the dumbass Spartan AI I loved it.

It's a long wait for Halo 6

Inbe4 they release chief only kind of spartan ops side story, leading up to Halo 6

I keep getting "We've encountered a problem and couldn't receive session data at this time" after every Warzone match. I'm not leveling up and I'm not receiving ANY REQ points. I won two games in a row and have jack to show for it.

STINKLES PLEASE ADVISE.

Wow, this is incredibly exciting if true. It fits perfectly,
even the cracked visor from Locke's punch. A Halo universe in which the Chief has to resort to something like that fits perfectly with how Halo 5 ended.

In Halo 5 the Chief seemed out to bring Cortana back into the fold, to redeem her and make things be like they were before. In Halo 6, however, even though he may still have very strong feelings towards her, he knows what has to be done. There was also something so satisfying about the level of respect that Locke demonstrated towards the Chief come the end.

When it happened to me, all the REQ and EXP showed up after a bit of a delay.

Warzone is weird. I've had a couple games where the final score appeared close, but the match felt like a blowout. My team would be pinned in one territory all match and get significantly out slayed. But we would kill all the legendary bosses. The relative proximity of the scores felt somewhat unearned.

I know you got this resolved, but this was fixed for me when I exited the MM queue to the main menu. Got a "you have been disconnected" error message and a pile of REQ points and XP.

So, just finished the campaign. Makes me sad seeing all these amazing locations and environments not utilized for multiplayer maps at all. Why can't we have a Sunaion or Genesis map? All we got was UNSC drab. Amazing campaign, though.

When Halo 4 was announced and they discussed the idea of exploring Cortana's rampancy, I was hoping that they would be turning Cortana into the new big bad. So I'm excited that they've done just that in Halo 5.

I just kind of wish the transition from Halo 4 to Halo 5 was smoother as far as Cortana's character arc. It feels like there was a smooth progression to be made from battling rampancy and slowly going insane in Halo 4 to
subjugating humanity and every other organic race in Halo 5
than what we got, where she saves Chief from Didact, seems at peace that her time is up, disappears/dies, then reappears, etc.

It just feels like 343i was like 'welp we fucked up the story in Halo 4, let's just scratch everything and forget most of what happened'.

I think people keep perceiving Warzone as a control point mode, when it's really not. The forward bases are really just there for more efficient spawning. Killing the bosses is what actually matters.

Obviously you can end a match quick if you earn all three bases, but that's basically a mercy rule in action. If you earn all three bases, chances are the game is going to be a blowout because one team is killing everything anyway.

The game mode is point control in the sense that controlling them gives your team easier access to the bosses.

Do bases not tick up points? Or does having more bases make kills worth more? They really need to detail what gives you points in the mode.

Loving this game way more than I thought I would, I haven't played a Halo since 3 and it's really nice going back to a shooter where every weapon needs to unlocked and upgraded, there's a bunch of perk modifiers, etc.

Arena is a ton of fun too.

I played the first two missions of the campaign and that was pretty underwhelming. The helmet cam is really distracting, and performance is really distracting. It's nice that the game technically runs at 60fps so it always feels smooth, but it seems like enemies run at a much lower framerate if they're not right in front of you and it's really distracting. Also, I don't mind it if dying doesn't matter in story-based games like BioShock, but in this it really robs the game of any tension to be able to just call for a revive whenever you get downed.

Still an amazing overall package though, first game since Sunset Overdrive that's made me glad I have an X1.

Cool fell of a map a couple times because it was tricky and fighting and now I'm banned for 7 hours on my one day off. Thanks 343.

Does anyone know the individual points earned for warzone? Like how many for base captures or spartan kills marines ect? Im assuming boss kills are whatever it says the value is worth. Can't seem to find it online.
