Halo 5: Guardians |OT| The Trials of Osiris

Halos are not yearly and SHOULD NEVER BE.

They've been (more than) yearly since 2009. Almost since 2007 really, as even though 2008 didn't have a release, 2009 had two major games, one of which launched pretty early in the year and most Halo games launch at the end of the year.

It's just that there's been remasters and spin-offs filling the gaps between the major releases. I think it's pretty safe to say 2017 will have something.

I think auto-Queuing after a match is a big part of the afk-ing and quitting early on in matches. Not the sole reason obviously as halo has always had plenty of quitting but I feel a lot of the time people end up in games that they didn't mean to be a part of...

I've had it happen once because I left the queue running on accident. I played it out but a lot of people won't.

Seriously.... Halo 5 is friggin gorgeous.

It really is. What are the chances, if Halo 6 comes out on the Xbox One, that we can see a nice upgrade in graphics like the graphical jump between Halo 3 and 4? I don't know much at all about the internal workings of consoles but, seeing as Halo 3 and 4 were on the same platform is it possible?

What a bunch of shitheads. There are so many modes we all don't like, but that's what you have to do sometimes. How is publicly suiciding and saying the game mode is trash, and giving up the chance at $6k ever going to get them fans or respect after this? So dumb.

Just finished the campaign. What a piece of shit. I hate wardens and will never play the story again JUST because of them.

I bet I've played 5 matches out of my 5 hours of mp time because i just sat there during intermission looking at stats or my phone. Played them out but i bet a lot of people would quit.

That's a very good point actually. I've been caught out with it before and it is a pain.

They should do what they do in Dota 2, when a match is found you have to hit Ready to join. If you fail to ready up you're given like 15 minutes mini ban before you can search again.

SWAT I've now won 3v4 and 2v4, but there really needs to be a mercy rule without penalty for other modes. The other players don't like having to hunt down one ransom guy for an entire match either.

Start taking away 1000 REQ points a quit, and you will start to see real change, along with derankings and time out bans. If they want to leave Halo, more power to them. They can go and fuck up the CoD, Battlefront or Destiny communities.

It is, but I'd rather have a graphical downgrade. Seriously. Halo 5 looks absolutely gorgeous, I could absolutely stand a downgrade for bigger environments. Halo 4 suffered greatly in terms of scale because of that quality upgrade. Halo 3 was much bigger with a lot more going on on screen than most Halo 4 environments. I want a bigger Halo 6, more terrain, bigger vehicular combat areas, moments of the same scale as the two-scarabs fight in Halo 3's "The Covenant" mission. I hope Halo 6 can provide that, or even bigger than that. If the graphical quality increases, it compromises that.

Orion is a great map.

The traversal to get everywhere...it's great.

This game could really use a UI update. You cant see gamer tags or other players Spartans. You cant view medals after the game and it could use the Halo 3 post game party up system.

Got ranked in Arena. So that brings me to:

Arena: Platinum
Slayer: Gold
SWAT: Onyx

Doing pretty good thus far.

I don't care for Breakout at all, and FFA has always been something I've tended to avoid.

Orion is amazing.
1.0

Well in terms of art and visuals, it's my favorite arena map. However, when it comes down to actual design and gameplay, it's poop.

So I'm going into what I assume is the final encounter
3 Wardens
on Legendary and I have a 75% incineration cannon and a full light rifle. How much trouble am I in? My first few attempts have resulted in my absolute murder. Any tips?

Quality critique right here. Very insightful

What a review

Thanks guys, I hope it helped

What difficulty?

Heroic, not in co-op. I'm not a huge Halo guy so I'm not all that great. Their idea of a boss is a bullet sponge that has a one hit knock-down up close, and a tracking energy ball for long range, that will also incap you in one hit. Later you get to
fight 3 at one time
and I just find it to be incredibly lazy design. That's how they decided to make it harder. "Just put more". Ugh. Along with complete lack of ammo (oh boy, a Boltshot!) it just made it annoying. Yes, I found the incinerators haha but they didn't help too much.

I wish I could find a warzone match while I'm at my parent's home. I've been trying since thursday but nothing so far, it's really annoying. I really hope 343 will fix these matchmaking problems for folks outside the US and Canada. Arena also takes forever but at least I'm able to play one or two matches per day.

The game is pretty solid but the campaign could've been way better.

Check out this crazy accidental vehicle jack I just pulled off in Warzone:

Holy. Shit. Only in a Halo game, ladies and gentlemen.

The other day I had a game of Warzone that my team barely won at 1000-990. We were confident in our ability to take the Warden and win, and I was using a Scorpion to finish him off. Unfortunately, my shot was ill-timed and the opposing team stole the 150VP, which led to the most intense and thrilling finale to a mp shooter match that I have ever experienced. What was better was that virtually the entire team was hollering good tactical info and goofy stuff in the game chat and everyone cheered when we squeaked by with the win. It reminded me of the "golden age" of XBL when everyone talked and not everyone was a complete asshole. Goddamn I love Warzone :D

jesus christ, quitting a team game mid-match should be an automatic week long ban, first offense. Second offense should brick your Xbox. These people don't deserve video games. :p
