Sooner rather than later hopefully. I'm really not trying to be negative, but current maps will get old for a lot of people sooner or later.
 
I just got past Genesis tonight on Heroic; clocked in at about 8.5hrs so far and that is with me dodging that one warden. Not too shabby.

Those early reviews about 4hr completetions had me a bit worried, but I can only assume they played on easy mode and ran through every single thing in the game.
 
When playing FFA they're is literally no reason to ever shoot somebody who isn't right in front of you with the pistol, cuz all people do is run away and someone else takes your kill.
 
What an underwhelming night of Halo. Go 1-4 in Arena, so I decided just to play some WZ to take it easy, end up joining a game where my team is getting smashed. Decided to call it a night after that.
 
They need to release some new arena maps soon. There isn't enough and majority of them are bad. I don't even care if it's forge just as long as it plays better than the ones we have.
 
The ranking system in this game is nonsense. I am beyond ass I got rated in platinum in FFA and Slayer. What am I supposed to do now, Bungie.

This is needed, badly. Also, assault and oddball should be added to Arena.

My record on Swat is pretty poor (minus kda), yet I got put in Diamond 1. Conversely I have 2-5 kda in the other arena modes, and got put in gold lol. Luckily you rank up in them fairly quickly. Not sure if you can rank downwards.

What did you guys think of the Angry Joe review? I didn't agree with it completely, but I do think he brought up a lot of points that we should be discussing as a community about the state of launch and the amount of content in the campaign and the multiplayer. As much as I like this game, it's underwhelming and does not live up to the standards set by past games, even Halo 4 to an extent.
 
I broke away from Warzone today and tried out Slayer and Breakout. Really liked both after getting familiar with the maps and game-type. I ended up ranking Gold 1 after the 10 match qualifier.

I joined the HaloGAF Discord group. I'm usually on 8AM - 3PM EST.

Seriously, coming from Counter-Strike, this game bothers me. It apparently tried really hard to be a super competitive eSports title, but it's missing so many basic features in MM.

A lot of the omissions seem like conscious decisions... Which makes it all the more disappointing

I'm currently 41/30 win/loss.

I really like Warzone, but I'm already feeling the need for more maps. I started playing some Arena, so I don't burn out playing Warzone. BTB, Forge and the free maps are going to keep me going for awhile.

Like how the hell does this even happen?

Two Champions, (Rank 41 and 83), an Onyx, and a Diamond.
vs
A Diamond, a Onyx, and two Platinums.

Do you not have any players playing your game, so you have to match people up so poorly? What's even the point of this CSR Division rank if you're going to ignore not even just Tiers, but Divisions in general.

I don't get this game. It's like 343 wanted to make a Esports game, but didn't actually know what makes something an E-sport.
 
Have played Warzone for like 50 games and it's plenty fun, but the Boss system is completely and utterly broken by letting whoever gets the final shot get the kill, especially since you can just shoot them from spawn. Might as well just have everyones guns disappear and prompt everyone to spam RT as fast as possible for a minute and award 150 points to whoever hit it last.

Yeah, I think the points should be handed out by damage done. Although it's super satisfying sneaking in the last shot when the other team has everything on it.
 
I did my Slayer qualifiers tonight, every bloody match I did we were missing a person and then the last few matches I was the only person on my fkn team... so fun doing 4 on 1 and getting my rank and k/d ratio shot to hell literally...

I think after doing the qualifiers I won't be ever returning to arena mode, it's a cruel joke between quitters and being shot from around corners to horrible maps.

I would buy this digital too, so guess I'm stuck for the long run grrr...

This is how Resistance 2 handled it's multiplayer, and as many problems as that game had it's scoring system is still one of the best ever.
 
Just finished the campaign. END GAME SPOILERS
This better not come down to a basic kill the AIs. Among other reasons, I don't think I could handle personally killing Cortana, especially after already watching her die in 4. I can't handle those feels!
 
Seriously, just mercy rule the fucking game if two people drop. Or if the score is 10-40 in Slayer. These are not fun or good matches.

Played with a friend tonight and half of our games had at least one quitter. Several had two. A few had three. One had three quitters and the final guy just went and crouched in random corners to run the timer down the full duration.

So many of these systems feel like they were put in place without thought for how Joe Asshole Internet actually plays online shooters.

Chief sacrifices himself to save Cortana or kill himself along with her. I have a feeling what they'll probably do is, Chief and Cortana go in a cryptum for 10,000 years, this way, Chief is 'missing in action' but officially dead for the story and they can force Locke and everyone else on us.

- The aiming acceleration curve is all kinds of jacked up.
- Maybe I like more auto-aim?
- Motion tracker has about a 12-foot range. Either make it useful or don't have it at all.
- The maps are all cluttered up with extra geometry that I'm constantly getting snagged on.
- The FOV is an embarrassment.

I played like 80 hours of the beta and obviously loved it. It's incredible what they managed to do to it in just 10 months to make me hate it (mostly in regards to the aiming).
 
2 things that need to be patched in IMO:

Shared benefit for Boss Kills (as long as your team is the killing team)
Ability to sell multiple items (looking at you Mongeese) for REQ


I'm sure there are tons of other things, but these stick out to me big time.
Loving the MP so far, 10 hours in Arena, 5 in Warzone: Warzone really starting to click for me now, took a while though!
 
I'm loving this so far, but gotta say that the aiming is sad. even on 10 sensitivity, I still don't like it. Weird Acceleration.
 
Played a match of Team Arena today, Slayer on Fathom. When we lost, I dropped a rank... in Team Slayer. Somehow.

I was still qualifying for Team Arena at the time, which makes this even funnier.
