Does drop in/out of campaign works for anyone? My friend always tries tl join me while I am playing, he never gets in. How does this work?
 
What I would like 343 to change in Arena

1. REMOVE BREAKOUT FROM TEAM ARENA!
2. Slightly up the radar range, it is useless.
3. Tune the grenades, the bouncing physics, blast range or starting count.
4. Fix the horizontal aiming issue and make the acceleration curve less aggressive, but don't turn up aim assist.
5. More maps in Team Arena and Slayer.

1. As much as I enjoy Breakout, it definitely should be removed from team arena. It's an entirely different gametype and it's not all that great to have to adjust back and forth. If I want to play Breakout, I want to play several games of it in a row.

2. They should just remove radar entirely haha

3. I'm a fan of the grenades spamfest but I can see why folks do not

4. I'm finding that I can't keep my reticle on someone's head as I try to follow their path as it moves so slow, so if I try to compensate and push a little harder my aim zings off into space. There's no smooth transition of speed. It's either slow or lightning fast. I'm starting to get used to it and have gotten a lot better but it still throws me off more often than not. Not sure if that's just the skill gap I need to overcome or if the aiming is borked as-is.
4a. And I've tried to change my sensitivity and also the elite controller settings to compensate, but the same issue remains. I'm either hard on target or I'm either just behind them or I'm suddenly shooting the wall 90° to my right or left loll.​

5. They should put all of the maps in those playlists
but nuke Orion into hell

For the most part I played any FPS on PC with a mouse and keyboard, used to place console FPS games but not a lot. Just curious if anyone that was in the same situation found a way to break through the aiming block lol...

I tried turning up the sensitivity but then I just flail all over the place when I get in a firefight. My biggest issue is tracking someone when I am moving or strafing. Any tips?
 
The Campaign's a bust, but we still don't know how long the Multiplayer legs will be yet. It can sustain a healthy population provided the upcoming content and support is good. At least it'll all be free.

Yeah that is one good thing, it would be doa if they tried to charge for maps.

Also a good thing: no progression or unlock system!
 
The maps and halo 2 and 3 were great, reach was okay and I didn't really play much of halo 4 to make a fair judgement.

I know 343 isn't bungie but it's pretty shocking that they released a halo game that has a quarter of the content that halo 2 did which is a game that came out 11 years ago. I just don't think I'll touch this game again when bo 3 comes out.
 
Lol, I had tried to join my cousins game while he was in Warzone, he was doing well and apparently the match was almost over and as soon as I clicked join he said he was booted from the game because his fireteam changed and it didn't even end up letting me join. Hopefully that was a one off thing, otherwise that would be crazy if you can get people removed from their games for trying to join midmatch.

Found it.

The cap is SR152.

People are saying you start to get silver packs for ranking up at SR40 but I didn't get a silver pack for ranking up until I hit SR50.
I got a silver 40 pack but after that so far they all were bronze, didn't even get a special 45 pack silver or otherwise.
 
A couple of minor things I would like added, and no I will not be saying things like "BR starts plz"

Multiplayer

-Mark as junk + sell junk/quick sell (no confirmation) or REQs after pack purchase

-Multi sell from collection/quick sell button

-Add rarity colour to item backgrounds in the "customize" menus and sorting options, for example, rarity, type (so all Athlons are together, by rarity)

-As well as flavour text, add the unlock requirements to items that weren't from packs (ie, the headshot emblem from the commendation pack)

-Actually show Spartans jumping out of the drop pods in the Warzone introduction

-Bring back the "Bro" victory stance as an option. One, the other, or both, randomized

-Make the "Bro" victory screen the default in Breakout, it is essentially a game so, why not enjoy it

-Display medals in carnage report

-Allow multi-kills to accumulate through death (double + from the grave should be triple)

-Either prioritise or call all medals (game displayed triple, killing spree, overkill, didn't call overkill)

Only gripe with gameplay at the moment is
-I feel the radar is a bit broken, no way are players moving as far as it suggests, and that is NOT 18 metres. It can't be.
 
You know, 343, if you're going to give us radar at least make it useful. The radar range in this game seems so pitifully small that it really makes it useless
 
"Game's F*cking Retarded! Whoever made this game is a f*cking retard! Or maybe it was my p*ssy team-mates"...

...says the guy with 14 Kills and no Base Captures in the match...

...hell, in his 32 Games of Warzone (8 Hours)...he has only captured 18 Bases and taken down 8 Bosses!


Compare that to my 105 Matches completed (31 Hours), 143 Bases captured and 91 Bosses killed (9 being Legendaries).


Christ, I hate people who complain on mic the whole game and you can see they ain't even doing much better either.

Reminds me of the idiot who kept complaining about teammates stealing his kills... We're a fucking team, nobody's stealing anything and you need to focus on OUR objectives!

But I did listen in to a hilarious episode; So some kid was playing on my team and used the Kinect as a mic or something. His mother comes in and starts giving him a lesson! And I'm paraphrasing: "I told you to turn the game off! Turn it off right now or you won't get to play it again for a long time!"

I believe he got to finish the match first though (arena).

I have been wondering: Since this game has been in development for so long, shouldn't the map selection be better than 4 maps for Slayer. I am thinking it has to be some kind of oversight to not include Truth at least.
 
I think I need more newbies/nubs in my Free For All matches and muuuuuuch less tryhards. After a hard day's work I really can't cope with that shit, I'm not in my 20's anymore. All I wanna do is relax having a drink and killing spartans. If I could sneak into a nub playlist somehow. Suggestions?

- Create new GT
- Play 10 games of FFA, continually commit suicide and play terribly
- Get ranked in Bronze.
- Profit?

Not sure if doing that violates terms & conditions somewhere tho.

I will go back and add this.

You can see rarity, but it is in the collection screen where you have to cycle through all the armours rather than also be shown in the customise screen. They should also add sorting such as rarity, type (so all Athlons are together, by rarity) etc.

Yeah, the teammates will only revive you if you're within walking distance (because they can't be bothered running to save you, when did you ever do that for them?), lying on flat ground, and if they're not actively engaging an enemy. You can only rely on them as human shields to draw fire. And if you give them a powerful enough weapon they might get some kills.

I agree there's nowhere near enough variety in boss fights. Which is a real shame, because there's great potential within the universe. Take Jul M'Dama, why the fuck wasn't he made into the first boss? And why couldn't the Warden take on different, larger forms in later fights? Imagine a rat-king type of thing.

Just finished the game..mix feeling to be honest. Some great level like mission 7. That's what Halo is all about.explorations. new planets.Mystery. Horror feeling. New threats.

And why was Locke presented at all? The whole game could have been done by the Chief actually. It would have been better game. IMO.


Seems like 343 are trying way too hard to inprint their name in any way possible. We give you Agent Locke.

Halo has its solid foundation. MC a solid character who doesn't need a side kick or a VS dude.

All you could have done is revolutionized the franshise on other way. Like big scale or something . Halo has many great places to visit. Planets.

We could have spent the time traveling those planets looking for clues about cortana. Meeting new forerunner tech.
Locate Blue team. Visit arbiter home world. Not rush through it.

You just burn all the great Cards.

Again..I think the game would have been much better if it's was about the Chief and Maybe, Maybe Blue team.

The whole Locke is unnecessary. They could have been presented in a better way.

Love it. I absolutely loathe radar personally... all shooters in all game modes. I've got eyes... i've got a headset with ears... i'll figure my shit out and clear areas myself. If someone gets the drop on me from behind/above/bleow... good on them. They deserve the kill.

Makes people play different and lessens the likelihood of some really cool CQB scenarios. Breakout has some epic close quarters moments because of this.

But i know lots love radar... so it's not going anywhere. As it is... it's not bad. It acts as a nice little "proximity warning" now as it should.

Yes, it worked fine for me and 2 friends who did a co-op playthrough. Our friend was able to drop in and out of the mission while we were in the middle of one.

To make him a boss would have made him seem powerful, which he really wasn't...and this was shown with the scene. It would have been received much worse if we simply assassinated him in gameplay as Locke does in the scene.
 
Team Arena a and Slayer need to share maps with each other. Playing 4 maps over and over is making me want to drop this for COD, which is a shame because I'm really digging the game play.

If Team Arena and Slayer shared maps, you would now have 8 maps in rotation instead of four.

Speaking of COD... All game types use all maps, which is the way it should be.

I only put 15 hours into the multi and hit Rank 25.

And yet i keep seeing people being 30+ :(

My first visor unlock was the dark green one... then I got a pink.

30+ gold packs later I finally get two new visors in the same fucking pack lol

Just the other day I was using the head which looks like a Destiny warlock, I quite like it but a matching noble set > most other sets to me.

I just don't know why it takes place at the end of the mission at all.
I get that the conclusion of the Sanghelios arc has us bugging out in a hurry to get on the Guardian, but it seems weird you kill Jul right at the beginning but we're still dealing with his Covenant for 2/3rds of the game. Would have expected you have a rumble with him and Arby when the Covenant's finally breaking.
 
So REQ packs, what's the best approach here?

Ive been mostly buying bronze packs to find easy certs. At what point should I buy a silver or gold? How do you guys do this?

I bought gold and nothing but gold since launch and have a few cool things, but not many of them.

Currently going silver only but nothing too hot yet.

I stopped buying bronzes when I bought about ten bronzes in a row and didn't get a single cert. Then I moved to silver.
