Halo 5: Guardians |OT| The Trials of Osiris

I don't really know, maybe bigger teams only? Really I can't think of amy other game that suffers of this problem. And Join In Progress isn't really that bad in other games either

Halo is the only game on consoles with skill based MP... JiP doesn't work with a skilled based MM system, unless you ask people to forfeit their stats everytime someone quits... Which isn't something Halo fans would agree with AND it would hinder the ability to accurately guage people's skill levels

I love all the new movement and abilities in this game apart from one, and that's the Spartan Charge. Feels so out of place for Halo. With the radar being so small too its just a bit rubbish I think.

I feels like I can counter Power Weapons more effectively than Power Ups. Power Ups promote more camping behavior, in my experience, which leads to cheap kills. With Power Weapons, I rarely feel like it wasn’t my fault (The visual markers also help that); I was maybe to aggressive or I just didn’t pay attention to my surroundings.

PowerUps are also a big "shoot me" sign...

But are the kills really cheap if the person had to fight to gain the leverage? They earned the right for the advantage

The merits of it existing are fine and I like that they are there, like Ram said they are tide turners, but I feel they respawn too fast.

Is it camping, or people funneling to a location when they know the powerups are about to hit? Like I said, a camo guy getting one cheap kill sitting in a corner is nothing compared to the damage you can do if you're moving around with it.

It's all about matchmaking speed at the expense of quality. Plus they just take the feedback from the program (which is probably 80% American participants) and use that.

Every other means of feedback is ignored obviously. What we write on here or waypoint is a waste of fucking time. They don't give a fuck and its our fault for believing their lies after the POS collection. I would say that I am shocked by this turn of events if it was another dev. But with these clowns I am not.

Loads of people write daily in this thread of their frustration at the way the matchmaking is handled. Which is read by the development director, who never once even bothers addressing it, yet will reply to some stupid shit instead.

Time to sell this game boys

For the love of god sell your copy and move on with your life. I feel sad that the last year of negativity towards this game could somehow be given back to you. Find something you enjoy and play and talk about that.

Oh, I might have not been clear; I mean people using the camo and camping to get cheap kills.

Oh i wouldn't sweat that... That's pretty much wasting the camo... Won't get many points that way.

But I guess if a team can't figure out how to use it more effectively, denying the other team from having it is decent strategy.

The game has been out for a week and a bit? I don't understand why people think wholesale changes are easy to implement and expected when 50% of the community is saying go one direction and 50% of the community is saying go the other. Meanwhile data from gameplay is coming in suggesting a 3rd direction.

To all the people complaining, game dev isn't fast food. You can't order something and have it ready in less than a minute.

343, or any dev for that matter, who is making an MP game is in a no win situation. The best they could do is open all the metrics of the game up, give you sliders for everything and allow you to play on your own Frankenstein creations then you can hear all the bitching about how your balance sucks.

Why doesn't matchmaking match you with solo players when you go in solo? It's so retarded. Playing against an obvious party is just painful. Really painful. Must be so simple to implement. Lots of things to love about Halo 5, but some really frustrating things too.

I find myself with a bounty of REQ points. 104k to be precise. What should I do with them GAF? Go all Trump and buy nothing but gold? A mix of Silver and Bronze? Blow them all on penny slots in Vegas?

And I thought I was being stingy with my 30k.

I've been buying a lot of bronze packs for weapon certs like the shotgun and such, with a few silver in there for good measure. I was only buying Gold at first but I wasn't really getting any weapon certs.

20k Bronze
60k silver
20k gold

Sell stuff you don't want and buy from that gold again

Tips for MP :

- Do an empty melee attack just the moment you pick invisible-pack or energy-pack. It cancels the animation of picking it up and get you ready.

- If you have the elite controler, you have the possibility to remove the main rumble and left only the trigger rumble wich is imo a great thing because you still have the rumble feedback from the trigger but you won't see your aim being pestered by the main rumble.

I usually thrust to cancel the animation, as it allows you to get away if you're fighting for it. I didn't know melee would cancel the animation, though. I'll be doing that if it's uncontested.

Yeah, thrust after going for cammo on Breakout is the way to go.

Until you are properly ranked it seems to do a best guess. I had the problem where I dominated my first FFA match and then the system thought I was a God and put me up against super Halo Ninjas. I then was the worst or 2nd worst player for the next 9 games until my rank was received.

The more you play the better match making gets. I haven't had a heavily slanted match since two days after launch.

I can kinda understand having one or two unranked players there, but why do I have to play with a bunch of platinums? Diamond 6's should play against high-diamond/low-onyx players. Hard carrying your team against low tier players is not really fun.

I'm the annoying asshole in shotty snipers sprinting and boosting everywhere with my shotgun 99% of the time.

Thanks for the amazing Halo games.
Got some nice Warzone wins in there :D

Starting to look real good now

People who drop out: You are worse than kids voice chatting. No, I am serious, you are worse than COD teenagers yelling bigoting words.

Just finished a game where there was only me and someone else against 4 others in Slayer. Whenever I start a game, I am now gonna write down their username so I can remember who drops out.

This is insane. It is literally EVERY game this happens. How am I supposed to have fun getting ganged up on?

Halo is not a join in progress game. The only solution is to not penalize players when they are down a man and lose.

That being said, I ranked up to platinum 4 and lost in 2v4 match and went back down to 3. This needs to be fixed.

lol this has happened to me TWICE today. It has slowly been driving me crazy...

343 should at least severely diminish your rank loss if people quit your team, that would lift the extra pressure and just make it a fun challenge to try and "get gud".

I stopped playing team games by myself because of this shit. I have 3 good friends that get on whenever I do and just roll with them.

EDIT: A little side note I finally got my first perfection in a team slayer game yesterday, felt good man

I wish I had that willpower. As soon as I get 5,000 I buy a silver pack lol.

I gotta say I'm not enjoying Warzone at all. We were winning a match by a fairly large margin until the other team rolled out with a whole bunch of scorpions, wraiths, snipers, banshees, etc. The only explanation for that is because the other team happened to get luckier with their REQ packs - which can also be bought for real money.

Am I the only one who thinks this is absolutely pay to win? Even if it's not people buying packs the whole system is still crazy to me.
