That's still only 4 in INT though.
The big question is if the robotics perk also applies to synths, because then I can see Intelligence being really good.
Will it be that good? Are synths end game mobs or something?

There's an option to turn it off.
Settlement question for those that know:
How do I establish supply lines between settlements? I have both ranks of the local leader perk.
So in order to be able to explore everything fully what will you need? Lockpick, Intelligence for hacking I assume, and I suppose the breathing underwater perk?
Intelligence and Perception 4 unlocks Hacking and Lock picking perks, so get upto those levels at least.
Looking at the map it seems like there's a huge body of water available to be explored. I wonder if that alone will make the breathing underwater perk worth investing on.
I think it's impossible to screw you totally up. You might be inefficient, but I think you can finish the game with any set of stats and without investing into a single perk. If you are totally stuck, you can always lower the difficulty.New player for the Fallout franchise. I have a question: How do you guys play this game?
Do a build that sounds/seems resonable, than play the game until it's impossible to progress due to bad points distribution? And then, start over?
Or do most of you just know how the game works?
Or do you actually wait for good builds to appear on the internet?

Hmmm..I don't want to spoil quest details (side quests) but hacking terminals can save your life![]()
You need the Hacker Perk that requires 5 INT to be able to hack advanced / master Terminals.Wait, so there are INT checks when hacking terminals? How common are they?

any idea how much INT or Idiot Savant actually effects xp gain?
Yes each point has passive effects.Sorry if this has been asked before: Do stat points have effects outside of perks? For instance, does each point of agility increase my action points? Or are higher stats just for reaching new perks?
I always like to have high Charisma for conversations, but I'm not really interested in any of the higher Charisma perks.
Survival. What's the difficulty are you guys going for? Normal, Hard or survival?

I'm leaning towards hard. Is there a breakdown of the difficulty levels anywhere? What's the difficulty are you guys going for? Normal, Hard or survival?
I usually find with games like this is that no matter how much I plan out the "perfect" character I want, I always change my play style and character based on how the game plays, how it feels, and what sorta loot you can get. I'm just going to wing it as I play I think, Bethesda games are pretty flexible in that regard.

This is what is says in game about levels:
"Difficulty level affects Damage and the chance of Legendary Enemies. Survival level also dramatically slows the rate of healing"

What exactly is a "Legendary enemy"? I've played Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Skyrim and don't remember such a thing.

Easy. I'm in it for the atmosphere not the challenge.

Sounds pretty cool in concept. They have a star and it says Legendary (insert enemy type) for their name. They are are a much stronger variant of a normal enemy. They can mutate mid-fight which refills most of their health and gives them a buff of some kind. Looting them gives you a unique item with some kind of bonus. I got a Pipe Rilfe with exploding rounds for example.
I have'nt played it but from a PC stream I've been watching it seems very stable. Impossible to tell what the frame rate is like but I've heard nothing bad.Since some people already have it on PC. Are there any issues as far as performance?
Finally!
All day I've been working on a 1080P/60 video of the PC version on Ultra settings and it was one thing after another. Mic not working, then capture device not grabbing game audio, then suddenly my headphones stop, then Final Cut crashes as I'm working haha.
BUT!
I just rendered out, what I think, is a great video that showcases enough interesting things with minimal location spoilers and absolutely zero story spoilers. Thanks for all the suggestions, I tried to take them all to heart (like not showing the map at all!).
Anyway, it goes live early Monday morning and I have you folks to thank for all the support. Hoping I don't disappoint you.

Hmm....you are correct. In which case I can't help you. Had a look on Google but I just don't think anyone's uploaded many as of now.I believe those are compressed JPG screens?
Second is Male (Rick), melee orientated, strong and lucky (and uncharismatic) -
Should hopefully lead to a pair of fairly different feeling games I hope.
