Halo 5: Guardians |OT| The Trials of Osiris

Campaign done on Heroic.

Except for one of the later missions, it was pretty straightforward actually. Enjoyed it for the most part.

How are people's experience with the campaign in co-op? May give it a try sometime on Legendary :/

Been buying Silver packs for a while now but thought I would save up for a gold. Got an uncommon SMG and helmet. Ugh.

Back to silver

Pegasus is probably my least favourite map, but I have played some good games on that one as well.

I think maps are generally really good in this game.

Two notes:

I'm addicted to earning 10k gold packs and unlocking them. I HATE grinding in anything but this thirst is real.

The sprint, boost, slide into point blank shotgun move is amazing and the only negative is that I am invariably the recipient. Most of my shotty snipers fails are imprudent switching between weapons.

not a fan of the slide

Worst maps from worse to best

Plaza
Eden/Empire/Regret
Colisuem
Truth
Rig

Not a fan of plaza, empire or plaza maps. Too cluttered but regret is also bad for different reasons.

Enjoy rig and truth the most but sometimes truth is too spread out too

I dunno. Just takes me to what seems like an empty room for me.

Frankie, maybe put some Snipers only matches into the Shotty Snipers playlist next time? It's getting insanely annoying trying to snipe enemies and then getting thrust shotgunned 10 times per match.

I really really like the arena gameplay. But the maps, i don't know. All very dark, mostly indoor. I miss Halo maps with blue skyboxes, green gras, rocks and water.

So I beat Legendary Solo last night. Only other Halo game I have solo'd on Legendary. Feels damn good. Unlocks great background artwork too!

Stoked to see what 343i comes up with for DLC

I'm stuck on that last enterior battle on my solo legendary run.

After this game I have ODST, Reach, Halo 5 and obviously Halo 5 all beaten on legendary. I am so afraid of legendary on any of the original 3 campaigns. Lol

I'm now getting loads of customisation items from silvers now which is not what I want, I want more weapon certifications! I feel they put Soo many customisation items purely to make it harder to get the weapon certs, I don't care for some armour which no-one is going to take notice of in game

I'm the same way, I really don't care how my Spartan looks, I just want vehicles and weapons...

The good news is that I used bronze packs to get most of the common items out of the way, so now when I open silvers I'm usually getting two rare permanent items.

My most coveted certs shouldn't be to far off now.

They need to split up the packs and offer cosmetic and Warzone packs separately.

Today I learned Truth is Midship

Sprint ruins that map; it's too big. You can basically ignore anyone on the other side of the map unless they pick up a long ranged weapon. That's not how Midship played.

Not one teammate has had a positive k/d in my last 5 games, it seems like if I don't go 15-3 it's an instant loss.

Does the ranks still reset every month?

Works pretty damn well in H5's sandbox, and that's how remakes should work. They do a 1:1 remake and it would play terribly.

How can someone not like Plaza? It reminds me of Duke Nukem meets Swordbase. Love that there are two dense sides with what amounts to a street and catwalks in the middle. Probably my favourite CQC map.

I like Fathom too, but Midship is timeless and immediately what I think of when I think Arena Halo, no matter the game.

This and Lockout Slayer.

Crazy that I probably played Halo 3 just as much as Halo 2, but none of the maps jump out at me like those. The Pit CTF comes close, I guess.

I think The Pit would work extremely well with clamber, too bad they wasted a remake on the tail end of 4.

So, I've had time to adjust to the new controller 'n all. More than enough time to get used to the way the game plays. Going negative far too often, and a single game of SWAT I played with Nutter has been the only one I recently excelled in. Reticle drags, but I'm not about to attribute all of my problems to it...

Yep, I am now officially a BK.

... Not joining Frankie's cult, though. :I

Truth works beautifully though. Every CTF game I've played is non stop fighting, "ignoring" people doesn't happen.

Maybe I need to get more sweaty CTF games on it. Everyone runs all over the place in Slayer and I end up sitting in the tower taking pot shots across the map at people Sprinting away.

I think Regret is a better size, but man if that map doesn't have some funky sightlines.
