Man, the game is so different with a couple decent teammates. I went from winning half the time due to quitters/one random terrible person on my team to winning 90% of my games and actually ranking up. Halo 5 is not a good game to play solo. I never felt that way with previous Halos, or at least to anywhere near this level.

Surprised they took out campaign scoring considering they did some cool stuff with in it MCC. I always used it when replaying campaigns.
 
For halo 5 the soundtrack was great and did justice to Martys original themes but I honestly can't think back to a track that was really memorable

It was far better than halo 4's soundtrack but I wouldn't call 5's the best in the series

Odst and believe it or not halo wars are my favourites after halo 1

I didn't like it at first, but the more I play it the more it grows on me. Absolutely love the spire and the multiple ways to try to conquer it. I also really like the home bases: I was just playing Spartan assault yesterday, and the vehicle battle that took place on the beach outside the base was a thing of beauty.

Playing solo is always going to come down to what kind of team you end up with. I don't think the games mechanics make it any more or less inviting to solo players.

I've died a lot to the AI enemies as well given that I'm usually ignoring the pvp conflicts and trying to kill every miniboss and legendary boss haha
 
Has anyone else experienced frame drops into the single digits for up to 5 seconds in mp? I just had two games that did this made it impossible to play. shouldn't be a lag issue as when it stops i can easily shoot them, but not sure. It's really really bad though.

the oni warthog is the bees knees right? this thing seems dope:

It's a good implementation, it just has a few instances where it's not so handy. Yours, for instance. Also if you commit suicide or fall of an edge after being shot by an enemy, they will also get that point..

Thanks, that's probably what happened. I can see in the film that I was hit earlier by a few shots from the enemy (hence the yellow), before my team 'mate' pictured decided to take it upon him to finish the job

Haven't experienced that yet but that would be quite jarring for sure

To me, you contradict yourself. You think he shouldn't be punished for losing a game? Because he did so well, and his team mates did poorly? That is the opposite of team. Think of any other sport. In football the QB can throw for 5000 yards, but the team can suck and they win 6 games. They don't get to go to the playoffs. They get ranked where the team is ranked. Not where the QB is ranked. That is the same idea here.

Mechanics definitely change how much good team play can affect a game's outcome. The movement options in this game let you get into the action really fast even if you're on the other side of the map. If you don't play as a team you'll get dropped in on super fast once you're seen/engage someone and it can be impossible to do anything if nobody on your team is helping out. Older Halos just didn't suffer from that and I don't think it was quite as much of an issue.

Yeah, it is strange. I never had it happen before either but two games in a row made it seem strange to me.

Just restarted my xbox and going to search again.

I managed to go 1 on my k/d ratio somehow... just to show that I could still get kills when it wasnt happening.
 
Wouldn't it be smart to wait the 7 weeks to open you're premium req packs, that way you have a lot of the uncommon certs out of the way, and then have a better chance a nabbing some rare and ultra rare stuff?

I think most of the base PW's are under powered compared to their better versions.

Which is the point I guess but it makes using the base version feel bad.

Yea, I actually meant for Arena. People have to be really bad to get kills with the base Hydra in Arena, lol.

They need to bring back the daily and weekly challenges from reach for XP/RP gains.
