Well had the X1 version for over 12 hours now, looks and runs great. I've taken a bunch of screens and clips but they're not automatically uploading yet. >:(

Anybody else in Europe buy the na version. I'm pretty sure when I have done this in the past with pre orders it was unlocked at 12am on my UK account.maybe I need to restore my licences...

Nope, it's usually the region the game was bought, so 4/5am for us if bought from NA

How's Dogmeat?
I remember in Fallout 3 he'd walk towards any enemy in sight and engage in battle, while I just wanted to sneak by unnoticed, and for the majority of the time we went where he wanted to go rather than the other way around.
Does Fallout 4 let me be leader of the pack this time? ovo

Ah okay, so I'm guessing what I encountered were some common problems. I tried KB&M a while ago and it felt just as janky if not slightly more so than with my Xbox One controller. Yep, this is a Bethesda game alright.

Yeeeeep. I don't regret getting it, because I know mods will make it something special eventually, but damn if I don't find it kinda boring a few hours in. I'll push through and hope I just need to get back into the style of game to start really having fun.

I posted this in the PC Performance thread, but haven't gotten a reply yet.

I was thinking of getting this on PC..but I am unsure if it will run all that well.

Win10
i7 CPU 860 @2.80ghz (8 CPUs) ~ 2.8ghz
16gig RAM
AMD Radeon HD 5800

How would this go compared to the PS4 version?

PSA: I've started seeing screenshots from the game on facebook and such that just appear to be ordinary screenshots from modding guns and such, but they actually have the game ending written in text as part of the menus. Basically, nothing is safe anymore. Hide.

Left for an hour; PS4 download went up just 700mb. ~_~ I'm sure* it'll go faster once my roommate is no longer downloading the Steam version, at least.

*I'm praying

Finally was able to get my key from Funstock Digital. I am downloading right now. Download time remaining 30 minutes. God I love Google Fiber.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this already, but looks like using any terminal in game can get you stuck. I've lost several hours already to this glitch. To prevent the bug, make sure you are not in stealth mode when you use the terminal. I'm pretty sure it is related.

can those be non-automatic rifles? affected by that other perk?

Well, he's talking about the perk that controls what weapons you are able to modify at a workstation. The perks that affect weapon damage are broken down into different categories, so those should work between energy & firearm types (i.e. Gunslinger would work with both energy and firearm pistols).

can anyone give me tips on how much intelligence increases xp gain? Since there's no level cap, it seems like going high int to start would be good since it will take less time to max everything out but if it's not that big of a bonus I probably will keep it lower like I had originally planned

Is PS4 digital unlocked yet guys? And if so, does anyone know if you can start playing after the initial 4gigs download? How much can you play? Can you play as it downloads? I am asking because i have such a slow internet connection and it will at least take a day to download the whole game (I am just about to buy it).

Finland here. After starting the game starts "installing" itself. Has taken about 40 minutes to reach 25% for me. If you are at work, remote play and start the install, otherwise you'll wait a looong ass time to play

For those who are playing on xbone, how is the performance in your experience? I could get it for ps4, but don't really feel like it unless it is really distracting. Thanks.

Man, this fucking game. A little exploration story, spoiler tagged for your benefit. No story spoilers at all, some very mild talk about one location but that's it.

I'm looking for the Corvega construction facility and find Lexington. It seems abandoned enough. I stumble upon a Super-Duper Mart and decide to venture inside. I find a Protectron locked in its charging booth. I remember I found a subway token on a dead wastelander so I set the Protectron's routine to subway patrol. The robot scans my token and lets me carry on.

As I explore deeper into the building, a metric fuckton of Ghouls start slipping in. These guys crawl through the fucking windows like it's the Walking Dead up in this bitch. I whip out my sawed-off shotgun and begin blasting faces, kneecaps and any other type of limb that gets too close. As I round the corner and kill the final Ghoul, I notice something laying on the ground between two aisles. It's the Protectron, surrounded by four dead Ghouls. Little guy gave its life for me.

Emotionally moved by this robotic altruism, I finish looting the Mart and head deeper into Lexington. At this point I decide to tune my Pip-Boy to Diamond City Radio. As the upbeat tunes of "Butcher Pete, Pt. 2" start blasting over my speakers, some Ghouls decide to attack me from behind in a narrow alley. The fight spills out into the open street and I find myself surrounded by angry radiation victims. Shit's looking pretty fucking grim, let me tell you.

Then, all of a sudden, half the fucking Ghouls blow up. Several rusted cars go up in a fiery nuclear explosion. My health gets dropped below half and most of my limbs get crippled. I manage to limp back into the alleyway and dispatch the final Ghouls. I take a peek around the corner and see a Defense Turret raining down bullets on some angry Ghouls. Then, from further away, a fucking Raider in Power Armor uses a goddamn Fat Man to blow them all to smithereens.

At this point the air is colored red from all the explosions, shit's ridiculous. I sneak my way up on top of a building and take out the Raider. I steal his Fat Man. From my high vantage point I snipe some of the Raiders defending the Corvega Plant and then make my way to the facility.

As I crest the hill I see a few more Raiders. I quickly take care of them. A slightly somber tune starts playing over my radio. "Don't they know it's the end of the world", the one from that fake audio trailer two years back. Right as the singer utters those words I hear the wind pick up. The sky turns a nasty shade of green. My goddamn first radiation storm.

There's still raiders out there, but as my geiger counter starts emitting warning sounds I stumble through them in search for an entrance. My health is reaching the critical level at this point. I finally discern a door through the radioactive haze and stumble in, to safety.

This fucking game, you guys.

Oh, i am at home. I will just start it and then read a book or something. Thanks for the info.

Does anyone know the best place to stash your construction supplies, so they appear in the next settlement

Gotta leave em somewhere, but idk if it's just any old container or if there's a specific place.
