How do I holster my weapon
Hearing the disc only has 8gb, you need to download the remains 15 or soFor those that bought a physical copy of the PC version in the store....
Is the game on the actual disc?
I am right at my bandwidth cap for the month and would also like to avoid waiting to download it as well tonight. So hoping to just pop it into my PC and play...
Thanks!

Yikes. Yeah so if it's a DVD then there will surely be some downloading. Thanks!I don't have the retail version but Bethesda said that you have to download at least some portion of the game.

And the retail version comes with a single DVD while the game is ~25GB big so it's unfortunately certainly not a small download.
Having a lot of trouble enjoying this with the dialogue system the way it is.
For the power suit (very early game)when you run out of battery out in the world and abandon it, does it make it back to your base?
I don't like followers. Can send the dog back to Sanctuary so that he stays there? He keeps following me![]()
Yes.There is a dialogue option to dismiss him, there you can choose where to send him,
How do I access said menu? I can only "Command" him to "Stay", "Follow" or "Inspect" shit.

Don't use "Command", there should be a different option either to the left or under "Talk" which is "Dismiss".
kinda lukewarm on the game atm. i think its mainly that the tone is pretty straightforward and self serious so far and it doesnt seem to have a lot the of quirky and humorous stuff that i associate with the franchise. it is super early so maybe i'm totally wrong ...its just that by this time in new vegas you had already met a cult of ghouls (with one confused human member) and helped them essentially commit mass suicide in a really charming way. i guess its cool that bethesda is trying to do more with the core narrative but the intro(and i guess the inclusion of a voiced pc) doesnt leave a lot the imagination as far as character origins go and its hard to imagine my pc (who was apparently just a normal ass dude living a peachy life with his lovely wife and son) murdering the innocent inhabitants of the wasteland with no remorse. tough to roleplay an insane dick when you are already characterized as a stable, reasonable person.
gameplay wise it seems like a pretty marginal step forward for the whole bethesda open world thing. maybe the weapon mods etc will add something interesting to that formula.
Right, not to sound whiney, but 2 complaints, so far, 4 hours into the game, doing theQuestsMinuteman
i've ran into 2 sets ofand jeez are they obnoxious, Every time i run into them, there's 8-10, they sponge bullets from what guns i have so far, and they move so fast,Ghouls
anyone got ideas how to kill them easier? better guns?

How come Codsworth not calling me by my name instead of sir the first time I meet him outside the vault when he did it at my house?
I kind of like the new dialogue system. It flows pretty well for a Bethesda game. I don't think it's necessarily better or worse than the old system, just different.
Edit: my only real complaint for the game so far, is that there isn't a loot all option for certain things, and yet there is for others. Unless I'm missing something.
Sometimes using sir is more appropriate. He'll still call you by your name
I'm in uni for another 4 hours and i think i'm having withdrawls.
A combination of the two best games ever made? Impossibru. Even for FalloutThis is my first Fallout game and sometimes I think I'm playing Bioshock mixed with Resident Evil 4.
Anyone out there have an X1 copy yet? How do you find the performance on the X1? Is that 0fps stuttering thing real? Id love to hear some actual GAF user impressions of the X1 as DF is the only site that mentions the X1 issues with 0 fps.
How's the performance overall on X1?
I want to be sure what version to pick up between the consoles. Initially wanted XB1 to spread the gaming love as I usually get multiplats on PS4, but then the DF article made me think PS4, however after a bunch of other videos and impressions Im just not so sure. I am still hearing that PS4 has issues with FPS indoors and when in fire fights that the X1 doesn't struggle with.
anyone else playing in 3rd person? I played through FO3/NV in first person but don't really want to do it with this. The only thing that bothers me is that it can be quite hard to select things and aim.
Idk how you could possible aim in 3rd person, especially when fighting fast enemies like bugs. I think 3rd person may work if you were focusing on melee? I can't see it being useful if you plan to play it like a shooteranyone else playing in 3rd person? I played through FO3/NV in first person but don't really want to do it with this. He kept calling me mum so I thought he couldn't say my name but he did end up saying it.
