Got my first arena ranking today. Platinum.
Those 10 games were a pain by myself. Can't see myself bothering again. Shame Warzone is only on 3 maps because I'm kinda bored of that too. Here's hoping BTB impresses me. Not a dig against the game, by the way. I'm just bored of PvP in general these days

Think it's connection sometimes. Some games feel good for me and I go 20 plus. Some feel harder to aim and like I'm getting perfected out of no where all game. Also feels aiming is off. Being in Asia though. ExpectedJust ranked up to Diamond 6 by carrying my shitty team to a fucking close 50-46 win. We we're down like 20-38 until I fucking pulled it together and went from 10 kills to 26 kills, dying once. I even only lost my Killing Frenzy because my Team-mate naded me when I was 1-shot by accident. Seriously until I started bringing it back, my team was at like 3, 4, and 5 frags respectively. I had more frags than the rest of my team combined.
Now I just deranked back down to Diamond 5 because my team went:

8-11

I don't know what the fuck is going on, but Gold packs are getting shittier by the day. During the first week, opening Gold packs gave me rare and ultra rare armor and helmets, then all of a sudden it all went dark.
For the past few days I'm only getting uncommon and common armors or helmets. No rare/ultra rare, no stances, no assassination, no weapon skins... My packs are full of fucking needlers and all sort of weird stuff for warzone which I couldn't care less about.

what kind of rank are you, flag grabs isn't a great stat without other information. it's good to get a grab but you can't just be going straight to grabbing it.
This whole system is fucked. Just spent the entire 3v4 match not wanting to leave on Rig. That means suffering through it, and right the end I'm about to get double kill to finish it, I get a system update that kills the game. Last two arena matches have started with quitters. Just playing with randoms sucks, I change my stance. I'd rather have social playlists now if it means I don't get my rank impacted by quitters for when I don't want to play.
Save the 'join a team' stuff, most people solo queue to play Halo. Just sucks. Where are the penalties for quitters? People have said they've quit 5-6 matches and gotten nothing more than a 5 minute ban.

This system update thing has happened to me twice in a week. What's up with a system update kicking you out of a game. I don't remember this ever happening in the past.
is this an xbox one issue or a halo issue?

Ok, don't feel it happens on playstation at all... or I didn't play online games enough on ps3.
Just waits until your out of a game or there is a certain point for it to happen, such as a store update or going to the dashboard again. Maybe after a restart I'm not sure. But I can't remember it actually kicking me out of a game. I don't think I was ever kicked out of a game on 360 either.
I am on the preview program with xone though. It still shouldn't kick you out of a game to update, should at least have a system in place where it waits until your out of a game.
yeah that is pretty sad, you would assume they would be smart enough and have things in place for these kind of things. Atleast asking you if you want to update now or continue where you are.

Mind you, I did have 3 v 4 in Breakout the other day in which the three of us shut out the other team. That was pretty satisfying.

They need to significantly increase the ban frequency and add an early surrender option but only when your team is down at least one player and down over 20% or more in score.

Part of your problem is - once people hit onyx they can't go down - so they just aren't as invested as you.
They are basically playing social slayer while your playing ranked
It's not a problem with you - it's a problem with the game - but I doubt halo could sustain a ranked/ social divide atm with so many games coming out all at once - I hope it's something they add once the population settles though

Can someone with 'default' controls confirm that you have to press LT again after getting descoped instead of just holding it down? That was one of the things that was mentioned in the post beta rundown. I am a bumper jumper player myself, but it feels like people rescope insanely fast (like it was in the beta with default users).

Yes the LT scoping method auto re-scopes, it is kinda useful on autos, not so much on utility weapons. Also the new pistol rocks so everyone should stick to one.
I honestly don't remember, lol. I ran solo last night for like 2 hours, it was basically a constant win/lose/win/lose pattern. I'd drop a nice game then a neg bomb, lol.

What's your GT? Entire friend's list moved over to BO3, could always use some more EU folk.
Descope is a pretty important balancing tool for the sniper.
Without there's very little you can do against a sniper at long range.
One of the rare/legendary Snipers allows you to not descope when hit.
Totally get it but just don't like it.

I believe that the restore time was increased to make it take longer than it did in the beta so it isn't instantly anymore. However, if a player restores manually, it can happen as quickly as they react afaik.

It won't make any difference now. 2 days until the NXOE will be released to the public, but he could do it afterwards.

Didn't they hide all this in an attempt to keep players from doing so? It's just making it worse. At least they'd quit before the match instead of during if they felt they were going to lose against a team. Worked well enough in the past at the very least not as bad as the situation is now with ppl leaving in game

I think it is because of the continued stream of placement players. Like nearly every match there are 2 or more people doing placement games. Sometimes they are only on their first or second game, I guess show that off will result in a lot of people quitting pre-match. And make it so that placement people will have a harder time finding matches.

So what your saying is, you would rather people just quit as soon as the lobby is loaded instead of seeing if they are gonna get their ass kicked and then quitting?
Cause that sounds like trying to heal a cut by covering it in glass shards.
Especially since those same players are just gonna quit if they start losing to a lower ranked team they thought they were gonna beat anyway...
The only thing that's gonna work is positive reinforcement. Gears does a good job by adding a bonus that increases every consecutive game played. Halo: Reach's "lottery" screen would also be a way to help. You have to give incentives in order have people stay the full match, penalties just fustrated everybody, especially when they don't work.

I hopped on yesterday after a few day break. It was amazing until around 17:00, coincidentally I started hearing a ton of Americans again. I have to give you guys one thing though, at least you have the decency to communicate. I rarely if ever hear anyone besides Americans communicate in open chat.
