Took a day-off, spent the day doing stuff. I finally put my butt on the sofa, turn on Xone and... Server problems.
Yeah Treyarch nailed the map design. All of them are fun to play on.

Been playing unusually well today. Maybe it's because I'm on EU servers atm instead of US but it feels like something has clicked for the time being.
Had a Team Arena game before and went like 18 - 4.. Don't think it recorded since it was just before servers screwed up.. That sucks.

My first three games were all in the U.S. and I couldn't kill fuck all. I stop for 10 mins, then everything is on EU servers, and go positive again. How about that.
Although, I played a game with some guys from Texas that was pretty good.
Come on 343, flip the region filter switch please..

I'm a little burned out on warzone and assault but the MP is still great fun now and again, I try to get matches in most nights right now even if it's only for an hour or several.

Destiny is a monster of a game that DEMANDS your time. Not surprised to see it so popular still. People hop on for an hour or two to run some shit they need to do and then go play other things.
Btw, regarding the weekend playlists.... I think they should be longer.

Yeah... i have enough work with well.. my job lol. Destiny is like an additional part-time job. As much as i love Destiny's raids and strikes... the base economy and structure of the game turn me off as soon as i complete the new raids when they come out. Then it's been, there done all that... nothing else new to do. FWIW i cant stand crucible so maybe if i enjoyed that i'd still play daily.
I think the main draw of them is Double XP and giving people a reason to get excited to play for the weekend though.
Maybe they could do both. I think they should rotate a more "standard" playlist weekly and a more "fun" one on the weekend.
I miss DMR in SWAT, loved it in Reach and Halo 4

The ideal is to play with a team, this is the first halo that people have regularly asked us if we have an open slot for them. It's worth asking at the end of every game if you don't have a regular bunch of people. I'm currently playing arena slayer - can't see that changing.

Reach had a piss poor ranking system that I simply wanted no part of. As for exploiting the maps, I was not the one who coined or made Swordbase Oddball a thing. IF you cant handle the ranked focus in 5, then its clear to me that you are the one who is wanting to do what you accuse me of doing.

I believe 5&6 are the last for Season 3. Maybe there will be a Season 4 for DLC, who knows?
Ignore everything but A.I. baddies = win.
I hate the scoring in Warzone. Enemy kills are only 1 VP. Even lowly A.I. bosses are worth 25 VP. Bases are worth squat, and are only valuable to keep core defenses up, and have better field positioning.
Makes me sad
Why? Doubles is awesome.

some pretty good games so far. This makes me realize two things.
1. I need to get way better at breakout and aiming in general.
2. Always play breakout with a fireteam lol
And the rankings are floored too, with not being able to drop down a whole tier.
That fact makes the lack of "unranked" playlists a non-issue for me, though I get why it might bother higher Onyx/Champion players

I don't care about what rank I get for BTB but 8 v 8 really needs to stay casual, it's too large scale to really use a ranking system that matters especially one based on wins and not performance.
It's changed the way I feel about needing a social playlist. I've managed to exceed my goals as far as ranking, and now I really don't care near as much if I win or not.
I don't care about social/ranked divide too strongly. I think there should be a social list, but it's for gametypes like shotty snipers and other action sack stuff. I also think that there should be a separate rank for solo queue and team queue. What I'm saying is that the elitist stance of "git gud" and complaining that people might want to screw around in another list is on shaky ground when you spawn kill in flag away zones.
I was playing BTB last night and I did a bad thing. And a colleague this morning came in and asked "Why did you do that to my chin so fast and for so long?"

I'm crossing my fingers there are new additions with the november update.
not just the forge maps thrown into 1 additional playlist just labeled "big team battle"
This can be so much more with additional UI improvements including naviagation many have suggested in here. pre-game/fileshare/post-game dump truck.
I think there should be a community section. Maybe a revision kind of like this...

The Home page under communities can kind of give a blurb of what's going on this week, similar to the community calander app. But of course, better since it'll all relate to halo 5 and the community. For example; Vote for weekend crazy playlist there that will be featured in social when it goes live. View top forge maps that have been viewed the most within the last 14 days or something like that. Vote for forge maps you want to see in a particular playlist.
Just a side thought... never will happen though. But this would be really cool to see others have easy access to interact with others who are doing the same stuff.
