Sorry if answered but can you build your own house that only your player character can use? Just so I can store my stuff there.

Alternatively is there a safe place to store your items? I was thinking the workshop but won't it automatically scrap stuff as and when needed to build?
I built a floor safe for all my good stuff. Hopefully no one steals the stuff in it.

So to power things I need to create a generator and connect it to a pylon, and then connect the pylon to each indivual object that needs power? Is there a way to power a whole house using a single power line?

I made a house, put 2 turrets at the door. Put a floor safe under the bed for the good stuff and a chest for the normal stuff to dump.

Plus Dogmeat has a doghouse by my house.

Not to mention the Raider have to to make it over the bridge into Sancuary which is guarded by men and machines.

Also took the power core out of the P armor anytime I leave it.

So what's the GAF general consensus about the game then?

I've played about 6 hours so far and it takes a several step forwards but several steps back at the same time. Really enjoying it though. It's more of the same and I'm pretty much ok with that as it's not a yearly thing like Assassins Creed so it doesn't feel tired and stuff.

The whole world is overwhelming. As soon as I exited the Vault I was just moving around figuring out where to go. Got lost in a satellite somewhere inside some robot type armor I found. I picked up soo many things. I was happy. Don't know what they can be used for, but I took them. Even the clothes off these bitches back. When I finally left the satellite I decided to get out of the armor. After exiting I couldn't run. Thought it was an error. Nope too much stuff. Wish I would have known that happens beforehand. Now I'm stuck in the woods and can't run. That leads to my questions.

What do I do? Can I drop things?

Where do I sell things?

I picked up clothing off of enemies. I'm assuming that's stuff I can change in to? How do I do that?

Nick and Dogmeat are nowhere to be found in Sanctuary (where I send all my companions to), guess it bugged out or something? >_>

anyone ran into something similar and fixed it?

Make a generator.

You can plug things directly into it, The attach wire function.

Pylons are just ways to extend things further.

There is a power thing you cna attach to your house (that attaches to your generator that provides power to the house) looks like a small pylon thingy. IE just put a light on the ceiling and it gets power.

Well, you have me beat lol.

How do you take the power cord out?

I have been playing it on my computer that doesnt even meet minimum requirements so it looks like crap, but I am loving it. The fact that you no longer have to open a desk to see what is inside is mindblowingly awesome as it saves me 100 hours.

I hate leveling up...it takes me so long to decide on a perk. Do I want damage resistance..damage output..maybe some extra HPs or modding perks.

So much pressure!

Nice. How do you find ammo? I'm playing on normal and it's really difficult to get enough sometimes. Have two perks unlocked as well for more ammo.

I don't even have any of the ammo scrounging perks. Only things I don't find a lot of are grenades/molotovs/mines and Sniper ammo. (Actually have a funny moment where I killed a Legendary Deathclaw by laying 12 Frag Mines and having him walk into them when he was at 50% health and dying instantly before he could mutate.) All I can say is be more aware of ammo boxes while looting and get any lockpicking perk you can for safes that usually have quite a bit of ammo.

No offence, but are you new to videogames? XD

Nah, but for real, just bring up your pip boy > INV > select item and press equip/drop. I'd drop anything that has little-to-no value and you don't think you'll ever use or need for crafting.

I love this game. I jumped into some area called the national ration reserve through a hatch in a church last night and took me 2 hours to fight my way out of it. I went in a boy and came out a man.

No one does exploration like Bethesda- not Obsidian- no one. It's the reason why I loved fallout 3 and the reason why this will be one of my favorite games not only of the year but of this generation so far.

I don't like the way the leveling is done now, i liked the old S.P.E.C.I.A.L system, it felt unique. I liked that you couldn't level up attributes after creating your character, it made everything feel more unique and specialized, but now that there seems to be no level cap and you can level up attributes it just feels like a generic leveling system.

It doesn't help that most of the perks seem to be just +15% this or plus 20% that.
Hell, even the ladykiller perk doesn't offer any new dialog lines with women, it just gives you higher chance of talking them down and makes you deal 15% more damage to women.

Personally i don't like when an rpg lets you do everything on one character, which is the main reason i don't like this new system at all.

Ok yeah I had the house attachment and my lights and fans worked but I could not figure out how to get the tv to work. Also depending on where I attached the power to the house only certain lights would work.

I love this fucking game.

Umm... sir? It seems you mistakenly posted a picture of 3 power armors? One has a different head armor as well that I have never seen before? o.O

can we just build MORE power armors holy shit?

Thanks.

You can move a pylon in real time and see what lights turn on/off BEFORE placing it. Good way to see what will get lit without committing to anything.

Which church?!
I was in a church next to the minutemen hideout but I didn't find a hatch!

Some thoughts on the PS4 performance, so far I am rather impressed by it. It does look terrible at times out in the open if you look far off in the distance but I can deal with it. What I couldn't deal with was the abysmal framerate in the factory that the Raiders took over that you are sent to on a quest early in the game. Most interiors have been ok so far but that one was horrid. I am not sure if it was all the lights that were on and the fog but man it was bad.

I can deal with it and hopefully they can do something about it in some patches but I won't hold onto that hope.

I feel lucky... a friend gifted me a PS4 copy of FallOut 4 and another lend me his PS4. Social life, internet, NeoGAF, iOS, Steam... see you in a month lol bye bye world xD

That and discovering new locations. Plus I tend to clear out areas of enemies entirely.
Lexington
and the area around the
C.I.T.
are ghost towns in terms of enemies.

Playing on hard here, and I do that too. Went to the
Corvega plant
and I was able to sneak and
kill jared
without having to kill many other people. That prompted the quest I was on to be over, but I went back and killed the
rest of the raiders
anyway, and found alot of good loot to boot.

12 hours in on hard and still no Legendary creatures. Are they supposed to b super rare?

Maybe it depends on your difficulty? I find them every so often on Survival Difficulty. (Though granted most of them have been Legendary Radroaches, but that's good for me I suppose since I'm getting the best gear from the weakest enemy)

There's additional frames scattered throughout the Wasteland, if you have a fusion core you can power it up and take it home with you. I actually found a fourth frame right after I took that screenshot. :p

There's several different types and looks of Power Armor as well. I've only found the T-45A/B and raider types. Can't wait to get my hands on some T-51b awesomeness.

When I go up to someone and press A to talk and my character juts clears his throat or grunts I want to stab him in the eye. That's not good manners, friendo.

Apparently I caused a massive chain reaction at the
Corvega Factory
with one of my nades and killed 2/3rds of the raiders that way.

So that was a lot easier than I thought it would be.

So people are reporting more legendaries on normal than others are getting on hard?, interesting.............

Haven't found one yet, what signifies it's a legendary?

Lol....lucky. That took a few tries to get through for me.

So Luck does two things for you: better looting, and criticals.

Problem is, the game has infinite loot, Stores stock all you need and refill daily. Enemies respawn quickly and carry enough shit to trade for whatever else you want. So the luck perks that help you get more loot/cash/ammo are useless.

Then there are criticals, I imagine a build with all the Luck perks that support criticals could be really powerful. Eventually. Like, at stupidly high levels when you have all the synergy down. You need all of them or you need none of them. By just ignoring criticals you save a bazillion perks for other things. Criticals are limited to your crit bar, which has to charge before you can crit. You know what isn't attached to a bar? sneak attacks. It takes less perks to toss out stupidly damaging sneak attacks than it does to crit reliably. Far less.

Just my opinion, obviously.

Luck does take a bit to get going. But now that I've got some of the higher level perks, it's pretty damn impressive. It was definitely lacking at the beginning though. Also didn't help that I put a 1 in Endurance. Now I don't feel like I can get rid of that stupid captain hat that gives + 2 Endurance.

can anyone tell me real quick whether there is any achievements tied to beating the game on different difficulties? i'm starting a new game and want to start on hard but just wondering if i have the option of dropping the difficulty down just in case hard is too hard? would i then miss out on an achievement for beating the game on hard or..? thx.
