Nintendo Direct coming November 12 [Over]

Can we expect a 50$€ price drop?

Black friday ads are already out. Wii U will be $300 in the US, bundled with smash and splatoon, but it's likely just for the holidays. Because of this, I'd say no.

After the NX is revealed, though, you'll get a price cut, I'd wager, but not through a direct. More likely just a press release in the spring.

Besides, that actually makes sense only for the US. European and Japanese Wii VC catalogues are fine, so it would be pointless to discuss them at the global Direct.

To be fair, this is probably the least global global Direct.

While it's a global Direct, I believe, based on what has been said, that the presentations will be vastly different between the regions

We know Shibata is hosting the European one and that Morimoto is hosting the Japanese one. As such, while there is likely to be large reveals, there will still be region specific content within it.

Still fun.

At this point I'm expecting Federation Force to be a fun game and GAF eating crow.

I still think it looks like complete shit visually and isn't what Metroid should look like. Ever.

I also think it will control like shit on standard 3DS devices.

Eh, metroid prime 1 worked ok with just one analogue joystick. If this controls the same I'm ok with that. My concern is - is there stuff to buy/upgrade between missions? Do missions give you loot you need to grind? I need monster hunter elements in this to even care.

Do not think we will know until the Youtube link gets posted.
20 to 40 minutes is probably a good guess.

I want it to be 40+ just to see the spam of 'oh lawd'-style gifs on gaf.

Blastball was basically Prime controllers mapped to the 3DS, it felt good to play, at least I didn't had any controller issues

Good to hear. Depending on how it reviews, i'll either pick it up on sale (probably a buy 2 get 1 free thing) or not at all. Mildly interested but not hyped at all.

Na it's fine. It's expected for someone in my position in the community, always going to have people who hate me. Just better to have the disclaimer.

I'll never stop posting!

I kinda feel awkward for asking, but... who are you?

Sorry, I have no idea and I really want to know.

You should view this as Next Level Game's next project, this is the game they have been working on after Luigi's Mansion 2. I will use the way they handled the task of making a Luigi's Mansion for 3DS and its critical success as my frame of reference for judging Federation Force. I don't see this as "the next Metroid"
