Anyone else nuts like me and sometimes make up little stories about the people they find in the wasteland, like raiders and whatnot? I know they are evil but they live in a messed up world so I tend to make up stories to amuse myself.

Yes yes yes. OMG Bethesda is so good at these little prop setups that they hide. They were a ton in F3 and Skyrim too.

I don't want to spoil anything but as usual, look everywhere. Lots of little easter eggs.

This game is role playing heaven, I make up stories to everything.

This game makes me happy, straight up.

So, I can't run Fallout 4 (PC) anymore for some reason. I press play and after about 20 seconds the launcher just pops back up.

Man, I wish you could smoke wandering merchants and loot their stock. Lucas Miller has some wicked armor pieces for sale for the low price of 17,000 caps each.

Man, Reddit just pointed me to the fact that there is nary a trace of microtransaction in this game. The settlement building would have been prime for that kinda stuff and Bethesda strayed from it. That's awesome.

Todd seems to hate that kinda junk. They were even good about it with Fallout Shelter.

Rock on Bethesda.

What's a good way to get my hands on caps quickly without feeling like I'm exploiting the game? I'm gathering maybe a thousand caps every 5 hours of game time and a lot of the really neat gear in the shops is in the 5 digits range.

The way I do it is I collect every bit of ammo I can find (since there's a shit-ton) and I sell it to vendors. I don't use guns and I'm not building a settlement so practically everything I pick up can be sold.

Create those massive water purifiers in your settlements and the sell the purified water you get from them. Lots of easy money.

FUCK that raider in Lexington with the power armour and nuke launcher. Killed her after 20 tries.

Isn't a quest just a random enemy

so what dictates companion quests triggering? is it your relationship with them? a specific local with them, a story beat, what?

I ask because I just got Nick's quest, and I guess we had a good relationship (he really likes that I hack everything lol), but it happened at a specific point in the story. like, wouldnt it happen if I was with him at this point and he didnt like me?

I basically only used the dog and then nick throughout the game, because lets face it...Nick is by far the best companion as everyone says, hell, he's basically a part of the main story as far as Im concerned, so I wont use the others enough to establish a relationship with them, but would still like to see their quests I guess

OK this is frustrating. How do I carry supplies from one settlement to another. I just want to share all my gear between my settlements but despite storing turrets they just up and disappear when I go to other settlements. The weight limit in this game really shows how unnecessary it is.

Is there a mod yet to disable the snide-ass comments from the player character when skipping an NPCs dialogue? Maybe just replace some sound files?

That won't work for me, though because I actively swap between 6 or 7 different guns during combat and most of them use a different ammo type. I'm using a pipe rifle, two shotguns, two energy rifles, a missile launcher, a 10mm pistol, and a hunting rifle.

And I regularly switch them out and use them as needed, so I never have any ammo for myself, let alone surplus to sell to vendors.

Create those massive water purifiers in your settlements and the sell the purified water you get from them. Lots of easy money.

This however, might suit my needs. I'll look into it.

Oh my god never stop these.

Okay, so I'm very early in the game. I did the Nick Valentine quest last night, and found it tough as nails. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? I'm kinda finding the whole game a tad hard. I started doing more side quests today which are considerably easier. Should I continue doing these till I'm high enough level?

you need the local leader perk and then you need to assign someone to set up a supply route

Last night I came across 2 glowing Ghouls with a skull next to their names, These are legendary enemies correct?

no, legendary enemies are called legendary

skull ones are just...err... "elites" I guess >_>

Skull = Enemy is well above your level.
Legendary name affix = Legendary creature.

I was attacked by a group of Legendary Skull Alpha Deathclaw and 3 Alpha Deathclaws the other day...
took 0 damage. On Survival. That's how I roll.

Hahahaha I love your posts

I gotta say I love this game. I am really glad Bethesda was able to get it out in 2015. I have not yet experienced any bugs yet and I am really enjoying it already.

One minor complaint or something I noticed. The VATS slow down seems to move a lot faster than it did before, am I missing something on that?

considering before it didnt slow down, it froze time, yes, it moves a lot faster :P

Hold the action button. A on the Xbox One for me.

holy cow. thats great! i was wondering how to move the bodies and skeletons of people in my settlement. That clears that problem up! Thanks!

Explain this please.

First, find a vendor who sells ammo. Any ammo will do.
Pick an ammo type.
Buy every single bullet of that ammo type.
Sell exactly one ammo of the stash you just bought back.
Sell another chunk of the ammo, but not all of it.

Source

Explain this please.

Every NPC trader usually sells ammo, right? So if they're selling 14 .307 ammo, buy all 14. Then sell back 1 of said ammo that you just bought. Then sell the rest.

Now you have infinite ammo to sell the NPC. Sell as many times as necessary to make up for the cost of whatever you're buying.

edit: beaten

I'd rather skip the dumb sound bite your character gives when he approaches a npc that never fits the situation.
