So I made a bunch of food, water, defense and beds in sanctuary. And I still only have 10 residents, is it just a matter or waiting or do I need to do something?



I did make a recruitment beacon.
 
Haha, my game is getting ridiculously buggy. A Mirelurk Queen has gone into complete passive mode, so I'm chasing it around an island hitting it with a bat.

You can change the pipboy colors? I did my HUD but didn't know that was possible...

Can you actually murder Preston? Because if so, I say go that route to free yourself from the abomination that is his VA.
 
Guys, I need some serious help. My companions have completely vanished. When I selected Danse, I sent Valentine to Red Rocket. I went back and he wasn't there. Then during the Show No Mercy mission I got out of the elevator and Danse also disappeared. Now I can't find them anywhere. :(
 
Im guessing the Level 1 weapon stand is bugged. When assigned nobody goes to it. No matter where I place. The other stands seem fine.
 
Most encounters have become a breeze nowadays. After fully understand the modding system of this game, I'm owning most encounters now. Even the mutants can't stand more than 2 or 3 shots of my assault rifle. I'm cranking up the difficulty to very hard.

Some of these quotes are only spoiler tags and knowing story was discussed makes it risky as fuck.
 
Codsworth and I had a nice little heart to heart I assume as a result of reaching the next tier in the companionship level.
Does that mean I'm halfway to his quest?

Yes. Although I wish you couldn't, people can complain all they want but a for your decisions to have impact the game must end.

On another note, is anyone else having a hard time actually finding side quests to do? I'm not talking about Preston Garvey or infinite faction quests I mean real side quests.

Each and every quest has an animated pipboy as symbol. It's great how much detail they put into those little things, makes everything really flavorful. I would only wish for more weapon and armors. Seems to be REALLY low compared to the rest of the content. Tho, that was a problem in every Fallout game ever.
 
Can't you use terminals while in the T-51? Did it all the time on my T-60. Or maybe it's related to their placement, the ones I'm trying to access are all pretty low to the ground.

I like the look of 'em. The only ones I really care for are my upgraded Winterized T-60 and my T-51c though.
 
I'm only level 7 but that perk chart is completely overwhelming. Any recommendations as to which perks are smart to unlock early on? I already got the "find more ammo" perk, but other than that I'm just sort of winging it.

I'd say hacker and locksmith are pretty damn essential.

They made too many settlements. I feel guilted into helping all theses places. If there were just three or four it wouldn't be so bad.. But jeez. There's way too many to micromanage.

Also did anyone else spend some serious effort on the starlight diner? Seems like a good spot to me.

Go for the Idiot Savant perk in the Luck tree. It gives you massive amounts of XP.

I literally got 2,048 XP and gained two levels for completing a quest once.

Hacking and lockpicking. Allows you access to stuff and places.

to be there. I drop down and I hear a roar and out comes Mr. I'm gunna fuck your shit up. I did not expect that.
 
There's a Mister Handy in the north around a hippy co-op called Professor Feelgood.

I freed him via the computer and sent him home for maintenance. And I tried to follow him through an epic journey.

However, he's not a particularly bright Mr Handy and he makes a MASSIVE detour through most of the south part of the map that he doesn't need to which means lots of enemies out of my level range. Was managing but then he goes over some road with mines in it and I just couldn't keep up with the enemies plus like either defusing the mines or exploding them before he reached them.

One small touch I thought was amusing is that he stops outside the robot farm you get sent to by the Minutemen. I thought he might decide to join them. But alas, he wants to go home.

Playing with Dogmeat makes me appreciate whoever the hell over at Konami programmed DD. Wow is Dogmeat just an idiot that gets in your way constantly
 
Finally found a way to use the 1,500 .50 rounds I have, there's a receiver mod for the hunting rifle that converts it, so glad I saw that, I now have good weapons that use all of my ammo types.
 
Can you join every Faction (say Brotherhood of Steel), or once i'm in one the others are ruled out?

Also does Dogmeat count as a companion for the Lone Wanderer perk?

Yeah, right under the HUD opacity/RGB sliders they have a set for the pipboy. The flashlight also matches the color set.

? I cleared everything and looted everyone and can't find it anywhere.
 
Found a Fatman, saved and decided to test it out on Mama Murphy..she was hobbling around with a terrible limp, shot a nuke at her and knocked her on her ass. 5 seconds later she stands up and walks away, I guess nukes heal crippled old ladies?
 
Okay guys what is the chances of this game getting quick performance issue patches? I really want to buy this game and will at some point, but I am concerned about the crappy performance on PS4.

I've seen gameplay clips that are just inexcusable. This game can literally run at 9 fps in places and I cant play a game that does that.
