Why would you hoard all of your extra armor/weapons? Just scrap them. Weapons especially have many important ingredients like screws or what-have-you (gotta get that Scrapper perk tho)

i keep around the special weapons in case i ever feel like using them. i don't even loot normal weapons any more because i have enough stuff already

Didn't see a prompt last time I talked to him, but I'll try again tomorrow!

I'm pretty sure this is true because there's a quest that, unless you pass a charisma check, results in
Doc Crocker
going hostile and trying to kill you. So I'm assuming/hoping the game anticipated this result.

So far the voice acting seems kind of par for the course with Skyrim's to me. But I'm a slow player; there are many companions I haven't met. In Skyrim's case, all the Imperials voiced by Gideon Emery were solid, and then the generals whose characters were helmed by Michael Hogan (Saul Tigh, Battlestar Galactica) and Claudia Christen (Susan Ivanova, Babylon 5) were really good. And then some of the governors were good and some of the Daedra and that was about it.

For Fallout 4, I'd say all the guards voiced by Garrus Vakarian's VA are good, haha. And then some of the side characters like Mama Murphy really sell it too.

Didn't expect to hear so many Garrus around, to be honest. GOD that voice is so sexy; probably one of top sexiest voices I've ever heard in my life, hahaha.

So with there being no energy weapons perk in this game, one could assume that perks such as the one for single shot rifles should apply to energy rifles as well? Correct?

Wait doesnt the INT perk for the extra fusion cores also improve energy weapon dmg?

I really like this game, but the speed and amount of combat involved is kinda ridiculous and annoying. The amount of enemies you have to plow through in almost every quest is quite high now compared to the past. And the speed of enemy firing and movements really screws with the adjusted vats system. It almost is a disadvantage to use VATS since you often will just be stuck standing in one spot getting shot from multiple directions when its better to run and gun.

Hahaha.

Don't know why but julrik's dilemma is really funny to me. Maybe because it's so random.

I mean, no offense julrik, but I just couldn't figure out the possible line of thought that made you shoot and kill him the first time you entered Diamond City, hahaha. I mean, that's so random that you just entered a guy's clinic and all of a sudden you decided to just shoot him, lol.
It was a side quest, dude!

Right after I got to DC for the first time, someone approached me and told me about a missing person, and asked for help. I followed all the clues, and they led me to the clinic basement. I entered and there he was, chopping the body of the missing dude into a million pieces. After a small convo, the game prompted me to either let him go or kill him. I chose the latter.

So no, it wasn't just random, lol!

Edit: Actually no, that last part isn't correct. I remember it now.
I chose 'Arrest him', and he turned hostile, so I killed him!

So.. Where can I find a cosmetic surgeon?

Don't know if it means anything, but
I killed Doc Crocker
in the basement, first time I went to Diamond City. Hope I didn't screw up.

I'm crying right now, hilarious.

I'm struggling at keeping Sanctuary Hills happiness at 80 or above. It can randomly dip to 60 at times and I have to work it up again from there. What happened, did I missed raiders attacks?

I have 15 beds for 11 people, food and water is at 20-ish, and defense is 80. Not sure what did I miss.

Is there any way to quickly find lost companions on ps4? I'm trying to do some quest that requires nick valentine and I can't remember where I sent him for the life of me. Went to his office and no luck.

I have a question/concern about the quest "Old Guns":

So, I've done everything up to getting into the room, getting all the stuff, and constructing the artillery. They want to test-fire it and I have the marking smoke grenades. However, it seems like you need to be listening to the castle's radio station (radio freedom or whatever) to get instructions from them... But I can't. The guy who's normally sitting in the chair broadcasting on the radio decided to get up and say the radio isn't powered and I need to turn it back on. Thing is... It IS powered. I even ran extra power to it... Nothing seems to work. He just won't sit back down in the chair and I can't progress in the quest. I even tried scrapping all the generators and rebuilding them, no luck. Am I missing something stupid and obvious or is my quest bugged?

Thanks, but me killing him was part of the quest. Sorry for not making it more clear. Thought everyone would get that quest pretty early, so didn't point that out.

Where the hell is DoggMeat!? I looked for 30 minutes. Deleted all dog houses and built a new one right outside my house and fat travelled 10 times back and forth and he is no where. I am 99.6% sure I sent him to Sanctuary as I send everyone there.

Red Rocket Station outside Sanctuary is his default location

Did you check the Rocket station?

Finally made it to Diamond City. Legitimate chills when
walking up outside it along a brick wall and suddenly realizing what it actually was.
So damn cool.

Just checked there and I dont see him, I even built a doghouse and fast travelled back. If they are going to make me use him for a quest make him easier to find!

If the quest you are referring to is in Diamond City where you find a Cigar that needs sniffed the game spawns him right outside the house when you walk out. Go into your Data and turn on the quest the marker should take you to dog meat.

You probably deleted him from inside a doghouse lmao

I just got Danse to be a companion and now I can't report back to him for the Lost Patrol quest. I just get the usual companion prompts (talk, trade, dismiss, relationship). What gives?

oh shit that is my quest. Ha i instantly fast travelled back home and skipped him. Thanks guys :)

Build some stores. They raise happiness.

How rare are legendary weapons on normal difficulty?

So, so. I am level 25 and have encountered maybe 10 legendary enemies on normal. Got a nice sniper rifle and shotgun out of it so I'm happy.

Billy quest spoilers:
I killed Billy's parents
as soon as I saw them because I got caught stealing lmaooo. I felt so bad.

Oh yeah, I got that immediately. I meant that it would be really silly on Bethesda's if killing him due to a quest would completely cut you off from facial reconstruction (which I just confirmed it does not -- the other doctor assumes facial surgery duties).

Ok i have only did a few quests from megaton, so i probably need to find sanctuary, got it
Sanctuary is the starting town in FO4 but it looks like you're playing FO3? Odd place to post but just do some quests in Megaton and you should get a player house there.

Oh wow... didn't know that since I am still ignoring the main quest in Diamond City while doing all the side missions.

Sorry for laughing at you, dude.

5Okay okay. I think I encountered some game breaking bug around the end of the main quest. Maybe. Spoilers for Main Quest inbound!

It's The Battle of Bunker hill mission. There's the institute fighting the brotherhood fighting the railroad fighting the caravan. Basically I'm trying to save the four synths, and once I get there the courser asks me to initiate the deactivation codes to deactivate them. So I kill the courier and then two mission objectives pop up: Speak with Father in the C.I.T ruins, and then there's one about helping the four synths. The problem is that the Synths don't really respond to me other than saying THANK YOU, and that doesn't clear the quest objective. So I tried going to find Father but I'm having some real trouble with that.

edit: Nevermind! Everything is OK!

Every time something happens in a Bethesda game that I think should not happen I immediately jump to the conclusion that I have reached a game breaking bug.

I put about 4 hours in now. Playing as a sneaking sniper is a bit tough in the begining. I'm level 8 now. I really feel like I need a silenced sniper rifle to be succesful. When I go in and clear out bandit infested places I'm just working with my pipe rifle. I need that Gun Nut Rank 2 asap.

Only thing I can think of is did the guy somehow get unassigned from his post? In workshop mode click on the dude, then click on the radio tower and it should reassign him to it.

Iv ejust been messing around so far. I did the quests for the minutemen to clear the power plant, and i joined the brotherhood of steal. dont have quite enough materials to rebuild sanctuary so im thinking about going to diamond city for the m,ain quest. anything else i should do before that?

Built a bar for my crew at Sanctuary. I better not see another alert for my happiness going down now.

Man fuck you and fuck all of you creative mofos. I hate you all :(

How? Look at that shit. If you told me that was a random raider bar in the game id believe you. You know what I built? The stupid pre-fab metal tube house, put a bed inside and one of those red rocket signs on the roof. Thats my house ;_;

How do you raise happiness in settlements? Can't get above 81.

And I did the quest where you
kill the Synth hunter dude for his brain chip to get into the institute but I need to talk to the Minutemen/BoS/Railroad. Does this decide my ending?
