I hope they use the HD sprites from D2 and redraw what's left.
Would be super sad if they make do with that Ps2 quality stuff on this port.

Expecting this to do really well on PC. Though, can't help but feel they're missing a trick by not releasing 5 as their first foray into PC. Guess they'll be able to milk it for longer if they start with the first.

This is actually an interesting conundrum, I've gotten VERY used to playing Disgaea on a handheld. I might actually try to find a way to play this on a hand-me-down windows tablet I acquired earlier this year.

I must say I am loving the PS4+PC RPG's that are coming out this generation.
Someone found an entry on steam database like, 5 months ago. Never got updated after that.
I'm gonna assume, with Disgaea PC announcement, they just plan on throwing all their games on Steam.

They are still considered Index within the company just based on Sega's earnings and strategy reports AFAIK
But yeah, Disgaea was a long time coming on PC.
It just makes sense. You can't bomb in Japan, bomb in the west and continue on without moving to PC. Its the fate of all non stable brands that don't have huge pull

I'm not one of the people who sees any aesthetic values in huge colored squares. Or worse, as is the case here if you look at the screenshots, exceedingly blurry bilinearly filtered sprites.
I mean, most of the arguments for the sanctity of "pixel art" fall flat in the first place if you're talking about putting those sprites with arbitrary transformations into a 3D environment.
