This is kinda driving me crazy. Why is the aiming in the game so terrible??
For example: In Farcry 4 when multiple dudes are running at me shooting I can EASILY pull my bow out, aim and shoot both of them in the eye socket. Even in Battlefront I can quickly aim and shoot at someone. Destiny, headshots no problem. However, in Fallout I feel like its VERY difficult to aim and shoot. I emptied an entire clip on a Molerat and didn't hit him once. If I see a mutant mosquito - there is no chance Im hitting that thing unless I use VATS.

Whats the deal with this?

OK, just finished all the faction quests and got all the trophies. You can safely do up to the Mass Fusion mission and create a save there and still get all of the faction trophies by reverting to this save. You can dive a bit deeper for each faction until you reach a dialog that says you will become enemies with X faction before executing a mission or it'll be glaringly obvious what you are about to do will ruin relationships.
Is mass fusion a quest you got because of a certain faction you were dealing with? Or is that a quest all players will get?

As far as I know there is no aim assist in FO4. You on Console or PC?

So I'm taking the Castle back and not having any issue till the Mirelack Queen. I can't beat her no matter what I do. Should I just retreat and come back later?

It's it just the ps4 version or are other version also having issues with settlements where randomly they show up as having no food or beds in the pipboy and that making happiness go down? I got like double the beds required and then I get this issue and even I go and check my settlement the settlers comment on the issue but I got enough of everything.

This happens to me too sometimes on the PS4.

Not sure what you're even trying to say
I would rather people not post anything endgame related, especially concerning story, in the OP.

clearly many are still playing the game and a good portion are barely advancing the story, the spoiler thread is there for a reason, all it takes is one mis-typed tag and you've fucked everyone out of the satisfaction of discovering on your own what they felt the need to spoil in a thread where less than 3 people may even know the answer to their question.

You can cheese her by going into the doorway near two partially bricked-up windows. The windows let you shoot out but the gap is narrow enough to where her ranged attack will not reach you.

Is it behind an expert locked door? I really need to put points into the perk for lock picking.

There is a fat man just laying in the junk pile at the Robotics Disposal Grounds. I was looking at the robot and Dogmeat walked up to me with a Fatman in his mouth. Went back on another playthrough and saw it was just sitting in the junk pile there.

theres fatmen everywhere dude, its not a rare weapon :)

I like how the voice actor for Deacon completely added an extra syllable to "hubris". Literally the first time in my life I have ever heard it pronounced "hue-ber-is"

Thank you kind sir!

Brewin' Buddy would be the best companion.

tells jokes

gives you free cold beers

and the quest is bugged so I can't keep him if I want to complete the quest. fuck this game 3/10

I know, I have had plenty, but someone was having trouble getting one, so I offered up an easy solution.

my bad.

huh one of the (many) locations I discovered and didnt go in (because lets face it, 80 hours in, youre not really checking every bulding anymore >_>) had a quest with a barter bobblehead AND barter magazine.

I don't think it's bugged. It's fucking stupid though. Why give you the option to keep him if the mission isn't going to close?

Those dank ass jokes are worth more than the 300 or so caps the guy offered me.

Prep time. Throw down a fuck ton of mines since she always comes from the same location and get behind good cover. She won't appear until you wreck most of the eggs so you should be able to setup however much you want.

Ehm, anyone else have a problem with Preston goddamn wandering the world when you send him to a settlement other than Sanctuary? Lol. I need to turn in a quest by him but he's wondering around (I can see where he is in the map though due to the quest marker).

Usually avoid threads because whatever kind of spoilers but can someone tell me if there is a way to have access to all your items/weapons/junk from all workshops/item boxes/whatever? Would be kinda terrible if not so I'm sure there is something but even after reading about all the perks on the Wiki I'm not too sure.

What's the reason for settlements with "happiness" warnings? Should I just add like chairs and tvs and stuff?
That's a bug. If you go back to your settlement that you've built all necessary resources for you'd find that the warning sign disappears. But when you leave and check in your pip boy it says you have zero water and food. The game forgets what you have for some stupid reason.

y you fast. as I edited I meant "seems like you can keep him but if you do you don't finish the quest".

which is stupid and that's why I think it's bugged, makes sense that the quest is going to end if you decide to keep him or to send him back.

edit/ maybe after you decide to keep him you have report back to the guy that gave you the quest? Haven't tried to do that. in that case it's just the quest marker being bugged.

Get some mines and plant em before she appears, also take some drugs if you need a edge in the battle. Med X makes you damage resistant and Psycho gives you more damage.

Basically since it doesn't share your weapons/apparel/etc (only settlement specific resources like building stuff, food, etc), it's best to find a good location for a home base of operations. There are some good central location settlements you can choose to do that with. Three good locations that are central to the map basically, spoilers obviously:
The Castle, Bunker Hill and Homestead (basically a nice little home) in Diamond City.

Is mass fusion a quest you got because of a certain faction you were dealing with? Or is that a quest all players will get?

Let me rephrase:

If you are doing the BoS questline the Tactical Thinking quest will start a point of no return with the RR. You need to go beyond this for 2 faction specific trophies.

If you are doing the Railroad you will eventually get to Mass Fusion and will start a point of no return with the BoS. You need to go beyond this for 2 faction specific trophies.

If you are doing the Minutemen you will have completed all of their trophies (the last being Old Guns) before reaching a point of no return with factions: not sure where this is because I didn't get there.

More spoiler-y guide:

If you are doing the RR questline you are asked to do the Undercover Railroad mission which has a subquest of working with Father as far as you can. After the Powering Up mission a Synth will approach you to continue Undercover Railroad. This is the point where you can save and branch between Institute and Railroad. You can return here to do the other after finishing one. You need to make one branch at Mass Fusion to go back for the BoS. You only need to do The Nuclear Option final quest for the Minutemen, BoS, or RR once to get that trophy. The institute questline is required to get the Nuclear Family trophy.

Look the game but does anyone else find that fights involving mutants become a little too grenade spammy?

I entered a building and immediately had like five of them lobbed at me! Many other fights are like this.

I need some help with the quest "Human Error"

I found the caravan, investigated town and now I need to "Find the compound; it's next to the fishing area in a sewer." But I have no idea where to go

That would be cool if there were factory-like settlements you can take over. You take em over and they add a steady supply of, say, concrete based on the amount of settlers you have working/living there.

Whats the deal with this?

Because the shooting mechanics are tied to RPG like stats also. Gun accuracy, damage deal is all variable based on the stats. Headshots are not instant kills or super amazing in this, you still have the RPG rules governing damage, soak, random chances of crits, etc

For anyone who has the
Shishkebab...

I cleared out Saugus Ironworks and the final boss is not hostile and Jake is outside his room. When I kill him, he isn't holding the Shishkebab. I have also tried finding Abraham Finch at Finch Farms, but he doesn't seem to be there.

Any ideas? Is it just bugged?

Yeah that sounds like a bug to me.

Is anyone else collecting unique clothes and guns even if you don't plan on using them just so you can have a collection of all of the unique stuff?
I play this game weird.

Silver Shroud Quest

At the end each time I got to the room with Sinjin, Kent and co. they would open fire and immediately kill Kent. I looked online and saw that it's meant to start a dialogue so it was probably glitched as refused to do so. It took about 10 tries but eventually managed to kill all of them before they shot Kent. Took some doing and a lot of luck. Most attempts the guy on the right or Sinjin would shoot Kent as the first shot was fired.

You're supposed to wear the Silver Shroud armor. Sinjin gives you the hint, as he is screaming "I want to talk to the silver shroud" ;-) It's still hard to keep Kent alive though.

Thanks. At least that's something.

Although it's just junk and I don't even really know why I should care about upgrading settlements and wasting all that money/junk on them anyway. Doesn't help there seem to be a lot of bugs with those settlements, one time I couldn't build something that requiered four gears when I had 6 with me, for example. Guess they probably planned to make this game online or there'll be an online mode (invading) soon.
