so can we safely assume that if a companion idolizes you and you get the perk, and didnt get a quest, that companion doesnt have a quest?

because that just happened to me with
Hancock

That's been the case for the 2 companions that idolized me right now.

Alright so I've progressed in the main quest to the point where I'm supposed to travel to
the Glowing Sea
but everyone is talking all about how I'll need some crazy rad protection. Given that I still have trouble with any more than 4 or so enemies at a time and am about level 12, is there any place someone can suggest I check out for quests or equipment that will help me at this point? I feel like I'm gonna get slaughtered if I continue any further, but exploring in FO4 is something I haven't done much of.

Are settlement quests endless? I just got a mission from Tenpines Bluff to clear out the raiders at U
SAF Satellite Station Olivia
. Long before this I got a mission from Abernathy Farm to retrieve a locket from the same place. The location was completely restocked with items and enemies between these two occasions. It is two different missions, I know, but it seems weird that designed quests would use the same location like this ...

At some point you stop receiving Radient Quests to unlock new Settlements and just get random go help X Settlement with X Issue Radient Quests.

Fancy....

doesn't seem like he has a quest. I won't be surprised if he's not the only one, considering how the companions barely have any dialogue or backstory.

instead of randomly throwing at you shallow companions every 20 steps they should have focused on making less but more interesting characters who at some point give you the option to be your companions. quality > numbers

Lol. Doing Human Error right now, and I'm not sure if it's intended or not but I'm near the end of the quest and Dan
is just sitting at the bottom of the lake by the entrance mean mugging the door while swimming in place.

Ahhh, can I safely ignore these quests? Or will there be consequences for the location that wants me to help?
The Radient Quests you received in person cn be ignored BUT the Radient Quests that randomly pops up in your Miscellaneous Quests Tab that says to go help of a Settlement under a Raid Attack are set on a timer and they can fail which leads to damage property (Food/Water/Gear),less happiness and it it repeats too much Settlements that are owned by NPC who joined the Minuteman may actually leave your control (I can't confirm this thou since I haven't allowed that to happen to me).

I'm building my settlement and it's getting bigger with more people and I noticed Travis on the radio said that Sanctuary is founded, first time I heard this. He even wished us luck. Pretty cool that the game does that.

If I unlock a new settlement and then remove the beds, will all of the settlers there leave?

I only want ONE active settlement to avoid being annoyed by all the others.

So I'm taking the Castle back and not having any issue till the Mirelack Queen. I can't beat her no matter what I do. Should I just retreat and come back later?

I power armored that, also minor note about castle:
There's a basement there that's a doorway covered with rubble that can be cleared in the Worktable mode. I'll leave it at that.

Someone on Reddit posted a perk that highlights the materials you are looking for rather than the little symbol. I can't find the post now but does anyone know which one it is? I thought it might be Fortune Finder but wanted to check first.

I wish all these fatass NPCs would get out of the fucking way.

I dont know why I spend so much time on Bethsoft piles when they just infuriate me every possible way a videogame can

the fuck is wrong with Deacon? He changes clothes every time I fast travel, lol.

and I have no idea why happiness is going down at Sanctuary even if everything looks fine? No alerts.

Power Armor will do the trick. There are a few sets available early on. Also bring Radaway and RadX anyway.

its the 2nd scrapper perk

it even highlights containers that have something you're looking for inside

oh guys, for those that like me you heard it but missed it, the
alien ship
crash is NOT random, here is the location for it :)

just go east-ish of Oberland station until you see some scorched trees. Also make sure to
follow the blood trail into the cave :)

So, roughly how far from the end of the game is the mission "The Molecular Level"? With how it has optional parts to talk to the Minutemen/Brotherhood/Railroad, is that "choosing my faction?"

Gonna go do other missions I gave because that mission feels like the end game to me, but I have no idea.

So, what's the deal with companion items? I accidentally removes Piper's hat, and now she won't put it back on. They also don't change guns ever?

Is it different from the past games where higher level equipment would be used in lieu of the standard?

they will use guns you give them IF they are prone to use that gun. it tells you what guns they like to use...somewhere

press y (or equiv on your system) to equip items on your companion. maybe you gave her an outfit that has no hat slot though?

Show that baby off!

I'll post a pic soonish. I basically only logged in right now because someone told me that I can get this from a vendor in diamond city if I waited long enough as she has it in stock once in a while (though rarely).

I'm doing one final round of vendors to see if any of them are selling the heavy combat armor arms as it's the final piece missing of my final set of stealth armor.

I am pretty sure once you move something to their inventory you have to tell them to equip it.

If you go into the trade option with them, you can equip items for them to wear/use. It's "T" for me on keyboard.

Because the shooting mechanics are tied to RPG like stats also. Gun accuracy, damage deal is all variable based on the stats. Headshots are not instant kills or super amazing in this, you still have the RPG rules governing damage, soak, random chances of crits, etc

Makes sense. I still want my easy headshots ;_;

Supply Lines don't share Weapons/Armor?
Only Junk and Extra Resources that a Settlement produces so it can be shared to another Settlements that needs it.

Perks doesn't outright state anything stored in the Workbench.

Does anyone know how often vendors reset their items? Specifically the ammo and surplus vendors in Diamond City. They seem to refresh fairly often but never have 5mm ammo...
