Freeza has always been the most evil villain.

Piccolo was the bad part of another person and not a natural occurrence. He kind of had an excuse to be the way he was.

The Saiyans were a callous warrior race under the thumb of a tyrant. Bloodthirsty, yes, evil, yeah, but not out of pure malicious intent.

The Androids, including Cell, were programmed to want to kill Goku. 17 and 18 are the worst of this bunch because we know that left to their own devices they go on a total power trip and destroy the world. Pretty evil, but more nihilistic than anything. Cell just wanted to be perfect at any cost.

Buu was pure, unbridled destructive intent. More like a force of nature than anything.

Beerus is technically just doing his job.

Freeza, on the other hand, willingly enslaves races and makes them work for him, treats them terribly, is fickle about dishing out fatal punishments, lords his power over others, and cruelly insults and berates others regularly.

That's why there's a sweet song about him and not any of the others.

He's a straight up racist on top of all that too. Frieza is just pure evil on every level, and that's why he works for me as a villain. Super easy to hate.

This episode was way better than last. I don't know if it was because it was less of a carbon copy of RoF or that it just covered a more interesting part of it.

Kinda sad they didn't show any bit of Freiza's training. Also didn't show Goku and Vegeta getting their new form.

Looks like they didn't give an excuse to not have Goten and Trunks show up.

Freeza is also the best villain because he's not so over the top. Even in his first form, he's scary because you can tell how in control he is. He isn't even visibly angry most of the time. He's just a cold, calculating sadist.

I don't care for Freiza. I think both Buu and Cell are better. And I prefer cell mainly because of the fucked up ways he got his powers. Just sucking people through his needle tail. He's a giant insect. Surprised they showed him doing that on the show.

Hey look at that. One second its a person and the next second this helpless person is a bag of skin. Very macabre.

Buu also had this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpNR9d-2Ed4

With us in the midst of the RF arc, can I just say that the FUNimation "Frieza" spelling bothers the hell out of me? More often than not, it's spelled incorrectly as "Freiza" anyway, so why not just say Freeza? It fits the actual pronunciation better. We don't pronounce it "Fry-za", so why spell it that way? Also, you might as well embrace the pun as almost every character name in the franchise is a pun of some sort.

I like him because he's so camp, calm, and collected and is oh so cocky since he can't sense power levels. He just knows he's the shit and I love him.

My theory is that Frieza actually considered his warriors his boy toys. He seemed very taken by Vegeta, he cut him so much slack. He STILL wanted him back in RoF.

Freeza's a shrewd businessman. His army was decimated and he was thinking of rebuilding. Vegeta used to work for him, was incredibly powerful, and (in his mind) hated Goku.

Nah, I think he had a crush on him. Totes did. Last Frieza saw Vegeta was working with Earlthings and made a crying revelation to Goku.

You'd think that Gohan having a kid and all these (new) superevil villains threatening the life of her (albeit by blowing up everyone, but still) would be enough motivation to get his ass in gear and train his ass off to protect her.

Unless Pan is already stronger than him as a two year old.

Pan has the blood of Hercule running through her, the man who defeated Cell and Beebus, of course she is already stronger than Gohan.

Thats why I wish someone would just straight up kill Videl already. Force him to be useful.

Every time someone says this my eyes roll around the entire planet and need to be found with a radar.

Why its not like she is pinnacle to the story atm. The last time Gohan lost his shit was due to the death of a friend. Killing his wife would bring the shit. And who cares she can be wished back to life.

Krillin deserves the most respect. He knows he's always been outclassed in every fight, but he still goes to the front lines and tries. Bravest fighter next to Goku.

Tien is braver. During the Cell fight, Krillin wasn't the first to help Gohan. Piccolo was and then Tien was.

Against the Androids Krillin didn't fight.

Against the Red Ribbon Army, Krillin was constantly scared.

Before the Tenkaichi Budokai, he was scared to go up against his former rivals.

Not sure if this was anime-only or not

The first one was anime-only, if you're talking about the Kamehameha duel.

If you add Super, there's Tenshinhan jumping in against Beerus, alongside 18 and Piccolo, after they saw Majin Buu being beaten by him, while Kuririn didn't want to fight.

Tenshihan also was standing in front of the group with Vegeta and Piccolo, ready to fight again, when everyone thought that Beerus was going to destroy the world after Goku lost (it's kind of funny though, since, IIRC, he had no lines at all in the episode).

Wouldn't call Goku brave. Just dumb. And he seems to enjoy getting hit, if anything Goku has a very dangerous fetish which will eventually kill him (again).

Also, Gohan is a lost cause. I gave up, no saving him anymore. So much potential and they throw him away like that, smh.

She's the supervisor

Piccilo is team mom. He was gohans certainly.

Now I want to see fan art of Piccolo drinking tea with Bulma and Chi-Chi in some casual outfit.

Because it's beyond edgy.

In the Red Ribbon army arc, the only moment he was in the arc was during the General Blue stuff. He did try to face off against Blue there. Unfortunately, his psychic powers were too much for him. It's funny because Kururin later fought Chiaotzu in the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai and won.

That tells me Kuririn is a constantly evolving character. Remember when he somewhat held his own in the 23rd Budokai against Ma Junior? That's growth. Remember when Kururin was the first to take out his anger against the Saiyans when Yamcha died? Remember when that ended up with him killing all of the Saibaimen except for a hidden once that Piccolo killed anyway? Remember when he took initiative on Namek, even standing in the way of Vegeta a few times?

I'll give you the Cell arc as Tenshinhan was a more active player there, but the whole "everyone helps Gohan while he beam clashes with Cell" is anime-only.

Tenshinhan's brief appearance in the Boo arc is in the manga however. Tenshinhan became a complete loner after the Cell arc, so he wasn't on the Lookout. Kuririn being the first to jump at Super Boo despite knowing it was futile is sadly anime-only. They just all get zapped into chocolate immediately.

Overall, I feel Kuririn is the most human of the humans (that sounds weird I know). He is Goku's best friend and is loyal to him and everyone else.

I always thought Krillin's hesitancy during the android saga was because of the trauma he went through on Namek. Tien has seen some shit but Krillin has been through way more, especially against guys who outclass him completely.

Yeah and Krillin died twice at this point (Oh Tenshinhan too...) Well Krillin exploded like a ballon... so he has the right to be afraid of this kind of opponents.

He wants a character to die so his fav can feel incredible pain and sorrow that leads him to a power up. I think I have the right to use it.

Yeah. If Gohan was going to make a comeback I think most would rather he did it of his own conviction.

If not, I'm down for Gohan to be a retired fighter turned amazing scientist who's still weirdly powerful.

Except that using Videl to do it is hacky as hell. Making a friend die so that a character gets stronger is not the same thing as making a wife/gf die so that a character gets stronger. The latter is much darker and is overused as hell.

They both feels like the same thing to me, anyways while I'd love Gohan to make a comeback I think we just have to accept that ship as being sailed and be thankful that Piccolo is regaining his relevance, now if only someone would get rid of Buu...

Depends on the media. A friend dying is much more overused in anime/manga than a lover or wife. Now, if you look at Western works, like books, comics or movies, then, yes, the lover motivation is much more common.
