Andy Bogard Confirmed for KoF XIV

Rewatched the trailer. I think that the background/stage looks even worse than characters. The syles do not fit at at all.

Maybe if the stage was nicer characters wouldn't look so much out of place and overall the game could have a pass.
 
Watching the trailers for this thing is like slowing down on the road to watch a car crash - you know it's bad but you just can't help it.

Unbelieveable how blurry and muddy the game looks.

There really is no defending the artistic choices made in this game, which is sad considering KOF usually has very good art design in general. :/ It just looks... wrong. And cheap.
 
The only hope for this game is that the netcode is some Top tiers shit of heaven better than Killer Instinct.

Seriously release XIII again on PS4/X1 and use those funds towards the game. I'd buy XIII again in a heartbeat if I could play it on PS4.
 
I hope the graphics are just stand ins using some old assets and they try to get the gameplay done before moving on to the visuals later during development. If this right now turns out to be their serious attempt at graphics for a PS4 game it'd be rather sad.
 
Also Andy appears to be wearing different clothes, likely inspired by his Wild Ambition outfit?

His WA outfit was pretty standard - the major thing about it was that the main skin for his model had a white outfit and loose hair, while the 2nd model had a dark outfit and a ponytail, like in FF3 and Real Bout. Here they sort of mixed the aesthetics, although I think the ponytail would work better.

They been adjusting them between trailers at least - things like Kyo's hair have changed between the 1st and 2nd, and in this 3rd one it changed from black back to his classic brown.
Who knows what else might change given enough time...
 
There are still so many problems with the overall look of the game. They need to fix this. I am sure they can improve a lot on lighting.
 
What really hurts is how beautiful the sprites were in XIII, Andy's sprite there is one of my fave ever:

He looks way too slim and young in XIV.

That aside I think gameplay-wise it still looks promising, hopefully they show some new mechanics soon.

As for Iori, are they combining regular and orochi into one?
 
The announcer reminds me of the boss guy from House of the Dead 2.

"The King of Fighters!"
"The original sin that man is responsible to!"

Not terribly familiar with the series. Is it the same announcer as previous games?
 
So if they continue releasing videos with this graphic quality, after the reactions.. it seems obvious that this is not gonna change a lot..
 
Yay! Andy´s always been my favorite KOF character :)

Even though the game doesn´t look good, I like that the matches look like KOF matches, I feared the gameplay would be slowed down or something with the transition to 3D models.
 
I've already come to terms with the art style. I'm still hyped as fuck for this even more than sfv. As long as it plays well and has good netcode i'll be alright. Plus every reveal trailer the graphics get better bit by bit so if this game does have the rumored 50 characters then by the time the last one is reveal it should look amazing right?

. Plus Snk is a company that has been on the verge of death again and back so many times. So if this is the only way we can get more kof then so be it.
