Black Panther looks great even though it's daylight.

I must be the only one who doesn't like the scene from this hype gif

Hard to pin point but it looks almost too rehearsed/choreographed. Almost like a dance routine moreso than a fight.

You dislike it but I hate it. The choreography isn't a large problem. The problem is the camera work. I don't understand what they did but Cap and Bucky look like CGI characters with stop motion animations cranked up to 2x speed. That one sequence looks so ridiculous it ruined the trailer for me.

I hope they polish this problem out.

Three things:
They're obviously setting Bucky up to take the Cap mantle for at least the first part of Infinity War.

Second, does anyone else feel like Iron Man's suit doesn't look as solid? I know it's early in post-production and it's mostly CGI, but it seemed off for some reason.

Finally (just based on my social media timeline right now) T'Challa's going to have a tough time not being referred to as "African Batman" next summer.

I got a little giddy when I saw Black Panther in-costume. I didn't expect them to just throw that at us in such a nonchalant manner in the first trailer -- you'd at least expect that to be the stinger at the end of a trailer.

Edit: Wait Jessica Jones and Daredevil are going to make appearances in this? That's fantastic.

Since when? Far as I knew DD definitely wasn't in it per Charlie Cox.

Yup. I finally just focused on one person at a time and now it looks like a bunch of dudes just doing their rehearsed dance movements instead of a fight.

Meh :/

It's the same as every Kung Fu movie ever. Fighting that looks like dancing looks far more interesting.

Yeah I think you nailed why that scene looks off but I don't see how it ruined the entire trailer for you :P

That entire registration act still doesn't so bad considering the events from all the other Marvel movies.
Especially the detail where the Avengers were working for the HYDRA bad guys, basically destroyed an entire country with Ultron.
And it is not like the events of SHIELD and Jessica Jones were very good indicators for letting these people run around unsupervised.
Still, movie looks exciting.

the camera is fine. It's the CGI that craps the shot. Ironman and the shield. They have to pretend to catch the shield.

None of their movements look like they are trying to survive and win a fight. It's just style points stuff. Fluff.

I'm not sure there's any driving need to survive in that fight. Doesn't feel like a fight with life or deaths but rather looks like a good ol' beatdown for beatdown sake.

We know Cap can take a repulser shot and I'm sure Bucky can take one with ease too. IM is pretty much just there for them to beat on.

I know you guys know not to judge trailer FX too harshly. Not by now. Not after the years and years of seeing unfinished VFX in commercials with 6 months to go only for those VFX to be CONSIDERABLY better when in the movie proper.

Even if all you do is subsist on Marvel films, you know this is the case.

edit: Christ sake the fucking Dark Knight half-gif

I forgot this is mainly a Cap movie.. hope it isn't much dicksucking for him.
He was wrong in the comic event, would be surprised if he is right in the movie

it's jarring because of the crap iron man cgi but that last fight looks cool tbh. they should slow down their movements though and just crank up the speed on the shield throw/catch. then it will be great.

Agreed, of course we'll need to see the full fight sequence.

Probably a problem made worse by the fact that you are looking at a repeating gif. It seemed a BIT too rehearsed in the trailer but it wasn't anything too horrible. It's kind of the same as when you're looking at a short gif from some action scenes and you'll start noticing some of the flaws and/or camera/choreography trickery that they have to do (like someone reacting to a hit a bit too late or a punch not actually hitting someone).
