That was funny!
Looked very grounded, awesome.
No idea why black panther is so hyped or who he is, but sure why not
One thing I would like to add to this is , with regards to Cap is a lot of people who weren't around during that time (all of us) who are US citizens or otherwise like to project our assumptions about that time onto Captain America. A few interviews with Joe Simon and Jack Kirby reveal the true climate of the nation the character was released into. A country that was over 60 percent against the war, with no standing army, and ranked 18th or so in the world military scene and just coming out of a Great Depression. Fully segregated , in most places legal to terrorize african americans with little or no legal action taken, in many cases it could be put in the newspaper what would happen. The country was divided in any way you wanna look at it.
Furthermore, this was a USA that pioneered the Eugenics movement that was adopted by Nazi Germany and carried out to its logical conclusion. The USA that had Adolf Hitler as Time man of the year a few years before we got into the war, that had arbitrary fitness and sterilization laws in almost all 50 states, which means Steven Rogers would've never been born had he been the 2nd or 3rd sickly child. This is a USA that allowed and watched violence for profit and sold money and funded Lennin, and Hitler even during the war. Yes that Bush was found guilty of funding the enemy while his son fought in WWII. We later elected two of his children into the office of the President (hey ...at this point even the Red Skull has been in US government)
When this character debuted with a star spangled hero punching hitler in the mouth it caused such an outrage Mayor Laguardia(yes the airport one) had to get police escort for Kirby and Simon due to the backlash from isolationist groups.
So while it may be the popular thing to assume Cap is a GO GO USA freedom bombs propaganda tool , he actually predates the war and was created as a polemic against Nazi Germany's polices on the value of human LIFE, leading up to USA's involvement in the war.
His appearance being purposely modeled after those stupid uberman posters (blond hair blue eyes) , his moral center being an extrapolation of rights being inalienable and SELF evident (not justified by men or governments inherent to all men), his fighting ability being the embodiment of a bad ass dude from kirby's neighborhood where you had to learn to fight (Apparently no one could beat him even if they ganged up on him), and his heart an embodiment of simon and kirby growing up hard where you had to hussle, post depression.
I think externally many have been inspired by Cap and the whole great patriotic hero archetype, but there is only one Steven Rogers who is a truly interesting creation by two of the all time greats in comics creators. Captain America..is Steven Rogers..when you take a second to think about that.
back to the hype.
How did Steve recover from being shot and killed in the CW arc?
How is your wild guessing a spoiler?SPOILER:I'm gonna guess that Feige is going to throw an audible. Tony is going to take the shot meant to kill Cap. Cap-Tony friendship redeemed and RDJ can be excused from Infinity War Part I so less use of his contract.
Something that I've wondered about Captain, re:Civil War comic arc --Current Steve is depowered, right? BF taking the mantle... How did Steve recover from being shot and killed in the CW arc?

You're better off not knowing, but if you really want to know: He wasn't shot with a normal bullet, it was a "time" bullet that sent him off through time for awhile.
Yeah.
The most stupid thing Ive ever read in a ComicbookYou're better off not knowing, but if you really want to know: He wasn't shot with a normal bullet, it was a "time" bullet that sent him off through time for awhile.

Seems fair to me. I really enjoyed avengers when I first watched it. I can rewatch other action movies tons of times, but Avengers was dead after 2 or 3 viewings.

in the post-civil War comics it was revealed that the gun that was used to "kill" steve was specially made to throw him through space-time and make him relive his failures repeatedly. He appeared to be near death and comatose but wasn't actually killed. The red skull had attempted to weaken him and take over his mind and body, rather than straight up kill him.

Super heroes, aliens, gods, robots.......but African scientists, you've gone too fucking far marvel!
Yeah, but its magic and that makes it work. One More Day? That's stupid no matter how you shake it
That's exactly what I was thinking. Going from watching the raid to avengers just made me realize how crappy the editing was for ultron. This this looked dope thoThis is how action scenes should be shot. Steady shots and no quick cuts every second. Beautiful.
So it's 90 % Robert Downey Jr vs. Captain America and no Spiderman?

This is what I'm banking on.Cap is going to see that his prolonged resistance is just causing more problems, so will compromise and give himself up in order for Bucky to get a fair trial.
I don't think he'll be killed while in custody like in the comics. But he will essentially be taken out of action and the status of the Avengers will be in question until Thanos shows up.
Hey its stupid when you break it down to simple facts but its pretty decent as far as hairbrained red skull evil schemes go
One More Day? That's stupid no matter how you shake it
They don't need to show Spider-Man. Maybe a brief tease so audiences know he's in the movie for extra ticket sales. I honestly wish they wouldn't release another trailer or tv spot. No need to spoil. So it's 90 % Robert Downey Jr vs. Captain America and no Spiderman?

I swear people just enjoy making up stories in their mind so that when the thing actually comes out they get to claim that they're disappointed.
I swear, at this point I dont give a fuck about the rest of the movie, I just want to see Spider-ManI swear people just enjoy making up stories in their mind so that when the thing actually comes out they get to claim that they're disappointed.
Wow I just realized that he's actually increasing his lead on Cap. He's going to steal this movie.![]()
No Cap, on your left
So hyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyype. This is gonna sound funny to say, and I know we haven't seen the entire cast yet, but I love how the trailer felt exactly like a proper Captain America sequel and not an Avengers sequel. It just seems more low scale that a global threat.
Like pulling teeth. Just don't watch em if you find them so underwhelming.Watched the trailer a few more times, not great but enjoyable. If the movie is the same, I'm satisfied. I like the more serious tone, speaks to me more. And hopefully this won't be as shit as pretty much all other Marvel movies (2/3 exceptions) with all the forced jokes and whatnot (Tony's line about wanting to punch Cap's nice teeth is cringeworthy).
Also, get a better DP and composer. Their movies always look so boring and I can't remember a theme/soundtrack from any movie (the theme for the Avengers I remember but that is about it).
Not being able to catch him is the best thing for Cap, lol. He's going to get wrecked one on one.Wow I just realized that he's actually increasing his lead on Cap. He's going to steal this movie.
