Don't like the change in motivation of the conflict from the comics tbh.

It makes more sense and feels more organic in terms of the MCU narrative though.

The promos are one thing. The movie is another. A bad promo isnt necessarily a bad movie or an unpleasant experience. But genisys is still fucking horrendous visually even if i enjoyed it. That is impossible to hide. But I would be lying if i didnt said that i was surprised how much i didn't disked it.

You're narrowing down the movie reason to something very specific. They are holding Captain America to the Sokovian Accords and will force this on every superpowered individual. Cap doesn't want that and is refusing to follow the law so he can save Bucky from being executed for crimes he committed under duress and hypnosis.

Civil War the comic also did very little with that actual concept and was a piece of shit lol

Great trailer, gets me plenty hyped. I will not call this Captain America: Civil War though, for me its just Civil War - i really do think they should have dropped the Captain America part of the title.

Still, will be there day 1 - and go team Iron Man.

I'm hoping that's how it starts and then eventually evolves into the comic book story about freedom halfway into the movie. Cap became my favorite Marvel tied with Spidey after Winter Soldier because of his personality and how strong he felt about freedom. I absolutely loved his life about people being prosecuted after the crime not before when talking to Fury (a scene that is shown in the trailer).

CW story arc is fantastic to me as the idea, though execution people can argue it might be bad. Though it's been a long time, I've forgotten much of it.

I still don't quite understand your rationale for the criticism but I don't know what kind of movies you're comparing this to. How you think this looks like TV is boggling and hard to justify taking seriously.

I think the biggest reason for Cap going rogue in this movie is less the accords and more that they aren't just going to arrest Bucky they want him dead.

was hoping for some spidey but I guess they're either saving it for another trailer or are trying to keep it as a surprise, which I can't blame them for doing

Cool trailer nonetheless

The blocking alone in every single dialogue shot looks like a televison show. A bad one. Those middle shots with upper body/face...it's hard to believe it's a cinematographer's work. No one lights something so flat on purpose.

EDIT : just look at how soft the screen neojubei posted . It's almost unnaceptable

Registration was stupid as fuck in the comics, and when it was over they spent years trying to get things back to the status quo. They ruined spiderman with that bullshit.

The same story wouldn't have worked in the movies because they don't have as many heroes. It was a bad idea in the first place, but it would be a super bad idea to try and shoehorn the same poor story into a movie without the same setup.

This CGI in this is so bad. Why do they still struggle to animate things convincingly?

You have interactions between live actors (Cap & Bucky, which might be partially CG), a CG character (Iron-Man) and a CG object (Cap's Shield).

Shit's difficult, yo.

Tend to agree with this. What exactly are people excited about here other than badly computer generated men in spandex doing backflips?

Yep. Registration would work in an X-Men movie (didn't the X-Men trilogy touch on it?) but not in the Avengers movies as we've had them so far. Also because secret identities have not been pushed as an important thing/general plot point in them.

Kickass comic book stuff being made into movies?

He's a bit too comedic for a trailer as serious as this.

Eh, sure. I mean, they had Hawkeye of all people in it too. I'm not exactly expecting a quick quip from Ant-Man, but he's not in the team line-up shot they have (that we can see).

But I suppose the trailer has done it's job. Maybe in the next one.
