I can accept that Bucky and Steve are abnormally strong. I cannot, however, accept that they hit with a greater force than a fired tank shell. Because that's what Ironman took in the first movie, and it barely slowed him down. So atleast within the ballpark of that amount of force is what they have to be hitting him with.

Meh. I can roll with it. Stark has different suits for different moments so maybe this is just a weaker variant than say the Hulkbuster. Plus they can always just hand wave it away as it being the experimental bleeding edge suit or something.

Black Widow doesn't mention him though, Hydra Shield dude does... I think.

At any rate, he's a famous heart surgeon in the comics. I can see why Hydra would want to eliminate someone like that - Sega Zola 64 might think he can replace The Hulk's heart with an arc reactor or some shit.

Lol I guess I was tripping, thought she mentioned his name.

Spiderman can beat bullseye hawk dude. Maybe little tiny insect man.

Anyone bigger in tier and then it becomes a "why isn't he in the Avengers?"

Please, Spidey could smoke Black Window, Hawkeye and Falcon all at once. And the simple reasoning is, he's just a kid with his own life and no one really knew about him.

If there is anyone who would decline being an Avenger, it's Spiderman.

He defeated a Herald of Galactus once. And you dont want to mess with Heralds of Galactus.

And: He can lift 55 tons easily. He just holds back.

He isn't going to decline because no one is going to offer. The dude's like 15, they won't invite him into the club

Will he show up in Infinity War? Absolutely. But it won't be because he's an Avenger and got the text that Thanos is wrecking shit, it'll be because he shows up out of a moral obligation to help

So what I want to know is is Dr. Strange movie an origin story? Because if it is, then how does Black Widow know about Stephen Strange in the Avengers movie?

They mention him in The Winter Soldier as a person of interest who Hydra are monitoring. It could still take place before the origin though as the whole plan was the AI could guess what people are important and kill them.

I believe he's referencing people that the new targeting system has identified as potential threats. If I'm not mistaken there's also references to *Potential Future character spoilers*
Marc Spector.

There's a bunch of easter egg mentions when the targeting system comes online as well because it's designed to predict people who would stand against HYDRA in the future. It's important to note this because the targeting system doesn't need to be re-programmed to do this.. it does it automatically.. which presumes it was always designed to target "heroes" rather than "villains."

If Cap can take on Iron Legion drones and Ultron robots, why is it so crazy for him to be doing damage to Iron Man? Especially when he's using the shield to deliver the brunt of the damage

Oh wow. I was thinking what stupid thing they could use as a means for the Civil War when compared to the comics.

Caps loyalty to Bucky is a great reason. That is so Cap. Never leave a soldier behind.

Dr. Strange was targeted not because he was a threat, but because he had the potential to become a threat. This was explained in the film.

OK, to explain this.

A single tank or AA shell did enough damage to knock Iron Man out of the sky...and knocks the wind out of him for a moment. We don't know how much damage was done to the internal of the suit at the time, but visually it definitely shows some. Regardless, that was a single big hit.

Now, Cap and Bucky together are wailing on Iron Man. Any one of their hits would really do very little. But hit after hit after hit starts to add up. Additionally, they don't need to damage the suit (which they're able to do by using Cap's Shield and Bucky's arm) they just need to keep knocking Tony around inside it. Cracking his head back and forth while its in the armor will definitely do damage, and for that, they don't need to overcome the protection of the helmet, just the power of the servos.

Also, who do you think would win in a fight, Superman or Mighty Mouse?

Speedy Gonzalez. Infinite momentum up in this bitch.

Spiderman in the movies has always been shown a bit underpowered. Comic Spidey though.. I'd say in the MCU only Thor and Vision would have the chops to beat him. Spiderman has taken on the Avengers several times, and I remember it even stating in one of the comics I have that of the Avengers, only Thor is physically stronger than he is.

Wait isn't there suppose to be a whole roster of characters in this because of the dividing factions the new hero laws create? Isn't spidey a thing as well?

Hulk, too, but Spidey can outmatch hin because he is way faster.

Spidey is a thing, yes. At last count there are 12 heroes in this

Captain America
The Winter Soldier
Falcon
Scarlet Witch
Hawkeye
Ant-Man
Iron Man
War Machine
Vision
Black Widow
Black Panther
Spider-Man

Oooo falcon and vision, now that'll be cool. Obviously they can't have the ridiculous roster the comics revolving around the war had, but I do hope they have cameos pop in saying hey.

What about Captain Marvel?

they're just pumping these things out. can't believe everyone's not sick of these yet, including the actors.

The actors, enjoy the money and the visibility, I'm sure. Even if the Marvel movies aren't Oscar bait and the contracts lock you in for years, it's steady work that's guaranteed to make you a household name.

Falcon's in the trailer, you should give it a watch 😋 Looks to be pretty important in this one, like in TWS

IIRC Chris Hemsworth took on Thor for a relatively low pay, because his agent told him of the benefits it would bring him; recognizable face, name, and it opens doors to other movies. He was great in Rush and I can't wait to see him rock it in In the Heart of the Sea.

And another thing why not kill off the dude with the arrows. I forget his name, even after seeing him in the movies every single time lol
Just kill him off already, he's boring as shit. no one will actually miss him, would they? I mean, in the last movie he was practically a parody.

Maybe this has been addressed already but...

where do some people get the feeling that Cap is on the wrong side here? Just because he tries to save Bucky? Aren't they coming at Bucky with the intent to kill? How is that fair?

is this an American thing?

I would say that we should wait for the Movie, I doubt that this will completly about Bucky and that the split will be over the Sarkovia Accords. And there I am clear on Caps side, states shouldnt use the Avengers as a military unit.

And the Hulk obviously.

Clint Barton aka Hawkeye. His plotline in the last movie was arguably the best one and was pretty instrumental to a major aspect of the plot. So.. I vehemently disagree.

It's a cinematic universe. The movies are fun and people are interested how Marvel plays everything out. Those that have no clue about the comic books, and those that do. We all can speculate, but Marvel's already changed some things that happened in the comic books. Who dies? When does Thanos appear to collect his first gem? Will he kill everything? Will the Living Tribunal come down? I love these movies and don't want this ride to stop.

The Avengers have a long history of jobbing to Spider-Man in the comics. Honestly, the only ones he should be able to wipe the floor with are Hawkeye, Black Widow, and possibly Captain America. Nearly everyone else should be able to take him down.

How strong is Black Panther compared to Cap? Would a fight between them be as raw as the first fight between Cap and Bucky in TWS?

I think Black Panther surpasses Cap & Bucky in almost every category (strength, speed, skill, tactics, etc) by a little bit. T'Challa could comfortably win one on one. Cap & Bucky together could probably take him down, but T'Challa's a tactical beast.

So Bucky escapes on the bike and BP is in pursuit with Cap behind him? It appears to be the same location where Bucky is on his bike and going the same direction.

I thought the same thing, but the shot right after that one shows Bucky running away over cars without the bike

But he's wearing the same outfit (brown hoodie red shirt) so who knows

Yeah of course but I mean just judging from the trailer I don't think Cap is painted in a wrong light at all.

The actors get paid to hang out and goof around with their friends. Who wouldn't want that?

Yeah, i don't even want to know how much Downey will end up with after all this. I'm really happy for him because i've always liked him, but fuck hasn't this just killed his career from an actors perspective.

There's so much he could be doing with his talent. Shame.

...wait is there a comic where Spider-Man "beats" Hulk ?

There's an old DC/Marvel crossover comic where Batman "beats" Hulk. He pulls a container of Bat Anaesthetic Gas out of his belt then punches Hulk in the solar plexus to make him reflexively gasp it all in. This is after Hulk throws a car at him and Batman dodges by diving straight through the side windows, which I'm pretty sure was referenced in the animated Batman movie Under the Red Hood (either that or it's just a hell of a coincidence).

I think that same comic has a scene where Superman launches a punch at Spider-Man, realises in mid-punch that it's probably going to turn this weird spider guy into so much red mist, so he stops it an inch from Spidey's face and the sheer force of wind still knocks Spidey off a building :P

He doesn't need a career outside of Marvel money. He could retire RIGHT NOW and never worry about money.

Look at his IMDB page; when you dismiss his MCU films, he's only doing things he enjoys. Outside of that, IIRC, he's active in a shitload of charities.

Now i want to see the images of said comics
