Trunks did not fight Semi Perfect Cell. 17 and 18 in his timeline were weaker than the main timelines Androids and Cell was Imperfect, so it's not that impressive.

That beating the shit out of Semi-perfect Cell was pretty short lived as Vegeta intervened almost immediately. Him destroying the #17, #18, and Cell of his future was necessary to complete his character arc.
So in the main DB timeline, the only cool thing he ever did was stopping King Cold and Freeza's invasion. Because of the retcons Toriyama made to have #17 and #18 make sense, Trunks had to be made an incompetent fool who was incapable of giving detailed descriptions in the first place. From there on, he gets clowned on by both the artificial humans and Cell. What a buster.
But honestly, we should move all of this main series discussion to the DB main series OT, which is in dire need of a better OP btw.
If anyone would like to create something for it, by all means go ahead. Or if not I can try if I have time.
Would pay for this.

I would assume so yeah, He might get a power boost soon. There's super Dragon Balls so there's a higher level of Namek that has such great power so maybe piccolo might meet a Nemekian god.
I really want the new Saiyans to come and they just get stomped because Goku never existed to teach them Super Saiyans were real.

so King Piccolo is back to reclaim the crown
hopefully he becomes OP.... extends his move set to even more unique moves (more arm extending business, etc...) ... and even gets a Namekian legendary transformation

So from what I understand the smaller Dragon Balls are reengineered big dragon balls that namekians created that requires an owner(Kami and such) for them to work?

They ruled out Gohan, Krillin wouldnt want 18 to battle, Trunks and Goten will be prevented from participation from their mothers, Tien and Krillin just are not strong enough unless only a few participants will be Piccolo or greater power.
That's my understanding. Once he expelled the evil Buu, he became weaker.
Wonder if he'll get a power-up, too.
