The few shots of action shown not having ridiculous quick cuts got me interested. The fucking terrible camera work in The Winter Soldier absolutely ruined that movie for me.

is this music from the film or just stock trailer music? it's pretty good.

also what a night and day difference between these russo marvel movies and avengers bland tv looking ass. this actually looks cinematic.

RIGHT?

Like, how crazy is it that one trailer looks better than literally all of AoU.

I was just reminded while reading through this topic, the scene where Cap wiggles Mjollnir. I think that alone is indicative of him sticking around until Thanos shows up. It could just be an easter egg for Comic fans, but the inclusion of that scene and the way they shot it makes it clear Cap is the only one aside from Thor with the potential to use Mjollnir, and legitimizes the idea that they will have him wield it at a later time.

If they did "kill" Cap, I highly doubt it would be permanent. It might just be done the same way Nick Fury was. Since they started working on Civil War Chris Evans seems to have changed his mind and is now saying in interviews he would like to continue the role despite outright saying he wanted out when his contract was done.

I imagine that wholly depends on where they take him as a character. Cap kind of closed the door on that possibility with Age of Ultron where he reveals that he wouldn't know what to do in a world where he can't fight. He stays with the New Avengers partially because of having resigned himself to his fate. Unlike Thor, he still yearns for a war to fight just so he's useful. That's kind of his "dark side" and what makes him unworthy to carry it as of present.

I'm not sure what development could end up changing that but he has carried the hammer in the comics hasn't he? I suppose anything is possible.

Red Skull has to come back. Or will they just ignore he wasn't killed and just sucked up into oblivion?

I think he'll be back in Infinity War. Loki knew who Cap waa when he showed up to first fight Loki in Avengers 1. How did he know who he was? I don't think Hawkeye knew about Rodgers at that time yet to give Loki that intel. Maybe thanos or loki found red skull and was getting info preparing for the Chitari invasion.

Of course, I could be wrong. But here's hoping.

I think that before Infinity War all the Avengers will be scattered in some way

I think Bucky will bite the bullet instead of Cap.
Cap will end up in prison.
Tony will be depressed or disgraced.
Falcon off with Fury and Widow doing whatever
Hulk and Thor are already off in space.
Vision and Witch off doing gods know what.

Then I think Doctor Strange post-credit stinger will be him making contact with Adam Warlock from GotG2 to gather Earth's mightiest heroes in preparation for Thanos.

Bucky is
signed up for 9 films. He ain't biting no bullet.

The shaky cam and quick cuts added to the fights imo. It's not like Quantum of Solace where you can't see half of it.

When you put it that way... it seems like there's a good chance this movie is gonna come in well below expectations. Overstuffing is probably the MCU's biggest consistent problem outside of a lack of strong antagonists. See: Iron Man 2, Age of Ultron, the inexplicable "Go get this widget from the Avengers" scene in Ant-Man. You just can't do a good movie if you make half of it a commercial for its sequels.
The difference is that the characters are here to serve the story, not to be set-up for future movies, which is what people actually complained about with Iron Man 2 and Age of Ultron.

True. Outside of Spiderman and Black Panther, all of these characters are already established

Vision can fully wield Mjolnir. Only one besides Thor that we've seen do it.

What are the chances we see General Ross
becomes Red Hulk
? If not, it just seems like an odd choice to have him in the film other than to remind people that The Incredible Hulk exists.

If they did do it wouldn't surprise me if MCU Rulk was made using Extremis instead of the super solider serum that's mixed in with the usual gamma goodness. Would help to explain the Red colour, fire and lack of craziness.

I think that all the existing MCU villians will re-appear in Infinity War after Thanos brings them all back to fight the Avengers and team.

Technically we don't know if Red Skull is dead
Assume Vision absorbed Ultron but not sure what happened at the end of AoU
Abomination whearabouts are unknown
The leader is still alive?
Hydra, etc.

Every major villian has been dealed with the help of an Infinite stone, so is easy to speculate they can be brought back with them.

Also Blonzky is still alive but captive in antartica (AoS confirmed)

HYDRA just grow up two heads back.

The leader is in the air tho'

Am I the only one who just wants Thanos alone versus everyone? Make him so incredibly bad ass that it literally takes every hero in the MCU to stop him. Having a bunch of instant villains pop in just to make it a spectacle simply sounds less threatening and more campy to me, and would detract from the impression of Thanos' power IMHO.

We'll see in a few years at any rate.

Can they not do that again? I hated when they did it in the last movie. Such a copout.

We don't know what's happened to him in between the fall of Fury's SHIELD and the rise of Coulson's SHIELD, however.
First hour of Infinity Gauntlet should be a adaption of Thanos Quest.

I was thinking the New Avengers half of Infinity. If only so I can get this:

I'm gonna need some receipts there buddy, otherwise i'm gonna call it bullshit

I've been wondering why T'Challa would get involved and especially be after Bucky. I think I know what it is.

The explosion in the beginning of the trailer looks to be at some kind of United Nations-like meeting and Bucky is somehow blamed for it. I bet T'Challa's father is present at the conference representing Wakanda and is killed in the explosion-and T'Challa is seeking to bring in Bucky for that crime.

I'm pretty sure the document in Age of Ultron already confirmed Klaw killed his father.

There needs to be the scene where Thanos shows exactly how powerful he is and almost kills every Avenger without trying.

Just effortless party wipe.

Nah cause then when they beat him it'll be super contrived.

Yeah comics are contrived but they can do better.

They've suitably built up Vision as a force to be reckoned with (Wielding Mjolnir and being the one to wreck Ultron's shit), so him being destroyed by Thanos in the first part of IW should be pretty sufficient to show he's a boss.

Yeah as someone brought up, with the Russos talking about how meaningful it was for them to tie back in the Incredible Hulk into the MCU, I can see the big end surprise being Abomination showing up rather than Red Hulk
